The National Enquirer has run a lot of insider stories on Mel Gibson’s affair throughout the whole sordid process. Mel of course has realized that his new baby momma Oksana is more trouble than she’s worth and the two have broken up – something that Oksana promises we’ll hear more about. (Presumably only if Mel doesn’t pony up the capital to buy her silence.) Anyway I’ve wondered who the Enquirer’s source or sources could be, as the angle they usually take isn’t favorable to either side. I’m thinking that they may have an insider in Mel’s very conservative Catholic private church in Malibu, but that’s just a hunch based on stories they’ve run about what a nut job Mel has been in front of the congregation. According to the Enquirer*, Mel now wants to win back his long-suffering wife, Robyn, who had seven of his eight known kids. Mel has been married to Robyn since 1980 and there have been rumors for years that he’s been stepping out on her.

The Edge of Darkness actor apparently now regrets leaving Robyn for another woman four years ago.
“He’s still in love with Robyn, he realises he made a huge mistake leaving her,” a source told the National Enquirer.
“Robyn is not only the mother of his seven children, she’s been a major source of strength for Mel throughout his life. Without her around we’re worried he’ll fall to pieces.”
Gibson split from long-time girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva last month.

The real reason Mel may want to go back to Robyn is likely monetary. He stands to lose half of his billion dollar fortune in his divorce. If Mel can convince Robyn of his sincerity and undying love he can hold on to his considerable earnings. Meanwhile the Enquirer is reporting that Mel had a three month long affair with a stripper – during the same time that Oksana was pregnant. Mel wants to keep his wife, his mistress, random pieces on the side, and his money, but it looks like he just can’t keep that many balls in the air.

I don’t believe that Robyn will take Mel back or even consider it. Oksana/pregnancy I feel was the “straw that broke the camel’s back”, Mel is having to confront all of his faults – what a horrible place he is in that now he is being enlightened to what his life has been; “the light came on too late”. Now, the divorce being finalized is very close and I don’t think he is going to be able to handle it – I think he will have a major breakdown.
It is very sad to see him like this, but Robyn finally divorcing him/cutting him off is really the best thing that could happpen to Mel. We will see if his life changes in the next few months.
This story of a fling with a stripper, here’s a thought: what if Oksana set that story up, paying this Violet to say that, out of envy/jealously because she knows that Mel’s heart is toward Robyn and didn’t want a divorce to begin with, so Oksana is retaliating against Mel for dumping her.

Mel’s old movie What Women Want was on TV a few nights ago, and it was sad to watch it and think what a decade has done to him.

@lucy2…I agree with you. I think Mel misses his old life more than he misses his wife. If he truly loved Robyn, why has he been cheating on her all these years? (there have been many more women, but we don’t hear about them because he’s made them sign confidentiality agreements in exchange for compen$ation) And by the way, “The Globe” ran a similar story about Mel wanting Robyn back last week.
My understanding was that Robyn had threatened Mel with divorce before, after drinking and cheating debacles, but he always came crawling back, begging for forgiveness, and she agreed to give him a second, third, fourth, whatever, chance. How much is she supposed to put up with? Wasn’t knocking up his fame whore gold digger mistress the last straw? And now, because of the baby, he’s stuck with Oksana in some shape or form for the rest of his life. I really hope Robyn has moved on, with or without another man, and can enjoy her children, grandchildren and single, Mel-less life.

I just read the “Enquirer” story on line, and to me it sounds like something Team Oksana would leak. That would explain her recent cryptic press conference comment about us finding out “soon” why she and Mel split. Am I the only one that finds this funny? Are we supposed to feel sorry for a woman that got involved with a married man and “accidentally” became pregnant being cheated on? If this story is true, isn’t it a classic “what goes around comes around?” Does Oksana really think anyone will feel sorry for her? As has been pointed out in other comments Mel never wanted a divorce and Oksana was a temporary side piece. If she hadn’t gotten pregnant Oksana and Mel probably would’ve broken up before he got involved with porno/stripper babe.
This is probably the first time Robin has not had to deal with his sh*t 24/7 in 30 years. So it has been a really nice break for her.

Enquirer seems lately to be getting 90% of Mel’s crisis correct, remember Cold Feet, No plans to Marry, Trouble in the relationship. I have read story’s were this source said they never even lived together ( Mel and the whore ).
I reckon hes heading for a breakdown, As I have read several other story’s about the same source saying they have concerns about Mel’s state of mind. He really want’s Robyn back.
But to me the damage has been done. I have also read where they have been getting on far better now since the split and that may be the way it has to be. @Uzi…I think you are blaming the wrong money-hungry fame-seeking Eastern European. This was no leak by Oksana. It was a calculated sale by “Violet” of her picture (but not Mel’s!) and a story of amazing sex in return for some cash and more exposure for her porn star career. As I mentioned above, the NE didn’t show much confidence in her story because they omitted it from their cover. If a tabloid doesn’t even believe you… This “Violet” isn’t the first woman (or man) to sell a dubious sex story to a tabloid. She reminds me of that 20-something model named Oksana who held a press conference to announce that she was MG’s girlfriend before Grigorieva’s identity was cleared up.
@Debbie…You give the NE much more credit than I do. They may have a source with connections to Mel’s church but they still make up a lot of stuff. It was the NE that claimed that Hutton Gibson annulled the marriage, a silly idea, and Hutton has denied it. On a similar note, I don’t believe there was ever any plan for a Christmas marriage as they claimed. Mel never was going to marry Oksana. The best and most accurate story the NE got right was that Mel and Oksana broke up (out of the blue). It isn’t hard to guess where they got that scoop. After a year of abstaining from communion Mel suddenly started receiving again. It wasn’t hard to put 2 and 2 together.
I remember this asshole raving on Australian tv back when he was promoting What Women Want. And him saying that AIDS was a gay plague to rid the planet of gay people. He is utter garbage and I hope Robin completely cleans him out.

Just because a person is receiving communion does not necessarily indicate a relationship will end. As far as anyone knows, Mel’s relationship with Oksana could have gone either way. In fact, I’ve known many Christians who received communion on a regular basis and it had little or no real impact on how they lived their lives on a day-to-day basis. Theoretically, if you truly believe in it’s power to impact your life, it can; however, there are many people who receive communion simply “out of habit” and have purposely separated their religious observances from their day-to-day lives. Truthfully, accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior as well as understanding his teachings with an “empathic intelligence” is where a real Christian conversion begins.
Sincerity, what you say is true, but I see Mel as someone with an old-fashioned fear of God. It wouldn’t surprise me if he made serial confessions of adultery to avoid committing an additional mortal sin of unworthy reception. But after his relationship with Oksana went public, any confessor who knew Mel’s identity would refuse absolution while he was in an ongoing adulterous relationship. Trad priests especially would be insistent on not allowing Mel to receive communion while he was a “public sinner” and a huge embarrassment to traditionalist Catholics.
Mel newly receiving communion meant that he had been granted absolution from his priest, which in turn meant that in confession Mel promised that his relationship with Oksana was over. The people at Mel’s church must have known exactly what this meant and approvingly spread the word that Mel had finally dumped the mistress. Eventually someone tipped off the National Enquirer.
At this point, I’m inclined to view Violet Kowal as just another adult film star cashing in by claiming to bed a celebrity. Polygraphs can be faked, but I don’t even believe she ever had to take one. Maybe Mel cheated on Oksana, but not with this opportunist. Any woman who had a 3 month affair with Mel Gibson could make a lot more money signing a confidentiality agreement than by selling her story to a tabloid. The only reason to go to a tabloid would be revenge, but Violet doesn’t sound angry or bitter.

Read between the lines. Violet is more of a run-of-the-mill prostitute than a porno filmmaker. It probably didn’t occur to him to have her sign a confidentiality agreement because, in spite of regular appointments, there never was any real relationship. I have no doubt that she had sex with Mel, and he obviously doesn’t care who knows or else he’d have offered her hush money. This may be another way of “putting Oksana in her place,” as she apparently thought she meant more to Mel than she did. As I said in an earlier comment, no one cares if Mel “cheated” on her because she did the same thing to Robyn. At least the Polish whore didn’t get pregnant!

So if her story is true, then Mel was very concerned about Oksana not finding out. (Although how paranoid could he have been taking her to his office?) I don’t find her story credible. She describes herself as a prostitute, so why would she turn away a high paying, non-abusive client who gave her “the best sex [she] ever had”?
You are correct that no one is upset if Mel cheated on Oksana. In fact, most internet commenters hate Oksana and think this serves her right. “If he cheated with you he will cheat on you.” It’s another reason not to believe the NE because tabloids give readers what they want.
I don’t believe this fling with the stripper: if it was before Robyn filed for divorce I would have but I strongly believe this story with “Violet” is genuinely made up, false, and Oksana is behind it. Mel’s sexuality is gratifide by “secrets” not necessarily in sex itself. It’s a power issue, he has a “secret”, money to keep his secret and that empowers him and gives him his sexual virility. His “secrets” are arousing to him because they are “taboo” and wants to get away with it, he was married, had a wife, and flings/affairs made him feel empowered because somehow psychologically he was in power over his wife/marriage and the women he had because of money (that is why his ego reached higher than God). So, when Robyn filed for divorce his mistress was no longer a “secret”, also her getting pregnant she no longer sexually aroused him. I feel that since the filing for divorce Mel’s sexual virility went impotent (pregnancy and Robyn stepping out with the divorce “crippled” him). He no longer has “secrets” because there is no longer a wife/marriage in the background and like I said Oksana no longer was sexually arousing because she was no longer his “sex toy”, Mel didn’t want a “mother”. So, I strongly feel Mel has been temporarily impotent sexually since the filing of the divorce because he has “lost” power (so to speak). Mel’s psychological state is in very serious condition because his “life is being passed before his eyes” and he is afraid of punishment.
This Violet’s story just doesn’t make any sense and it sounds TOO MUCH Oksana talking and that she is behind it maybe paying this woman to say these things. Oksana didn’t get what she $$wanted$$ before getting dumped and I truly feel she is trying to kill Mel, she knows his mental state and how unstable and confused he is and she is out for R-E-T-A-L-I-A-T-I-O-N.
