There isn’t a new interview to go along with these lovely photos of Robert Pattinson in the June issue of GQ South Africa. We will have to do without Sparkles mooning over whatever random British eccentricity strikes his fancy – I glanced through the article, it’s basically an analysis of why Sparkles is a heartthrob. Answer: Because he’s so f-cking sparkly.
Did you know that Pattinson turns 24 years old on Thursday. True story. His birthday is May 13th, which makes him a Taurus. A good sign for a Virgo like me. I’m also pretty good with Pisces, I think. There is some Twihard-swooning about Sparkles’ birthday plans, something about how all he wanted was some alone-time with his beloved Kristen. If that’s true, it is very sweet.
In honor of Sparkles’ birthday, Oprah is airing the pretaped Eclipse special, where Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner all flew to Chicago to do a sit-down interview, and to actually go to various Chicagoan Twihard family homes and meet their fans face-to-face. I have to admit, I really can’t wait for this sh-t. It’s going to be awesome. Oprah released just a tiny little moment of Sparkles going up to this Twihard home (those families should be forced to put a sign in the front yard, just for future reference). Sparkles knocks, and then almost instantly a Twihard tween flies into his arms. It’s sort of adorable:

How would you react if Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson unexpectedly showed up at your doorstep? Colleen Webster from Naperville, Illinois, says she freaked out!
“I couldn’t believe this happened to me, it was so insane,” Colleen, 15, gushed to Star. The teen and her mom responded to Oprah Winfrey’s call last month for Twilight fans to submit stories about how the vampire saga personally touched them.
Luckily, the talk show host selected Colleen to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show and sent Rob to break the good news! “I could never have imagined it,” says Colleen, who will celebrate her Sweet 16 on May 14, the day after Rob’s birthday. “All of the sudden Robert Pattinson walks through my front door. I was speechless so I just hugged him.”
Talk about a birthday surprise! “This has been a dream come true,” says Colleen, who attended the May 5 Oprah taping with other Twi-hards in Chicago. “I can’t wait for it to air!”

Clever girl. I hope I would be that smart if I ever chanced upon a Sparkle. I would be all “OhmiGod I don’t know what I’m doing maybe if we made out I would be okay.”
By the way, the rumor is still going around that Pattinson and K-Stew did confirm their love to Oprah – backstage. Oprah promised that she would go easy on them when the cameras were on if they would just admit to her, in private, that they were dating. Ooohh, I can’t wait for this!

i cant see what is the big deal about this guy.
he is an awful actor, if he can even be considered an actor at all. maybe he is only awful.
it is annoying this whole dating or not dating thing. it is simply to get attention, cause if they wanted to be low key they wouldnt be creating all this suspense.
and i think it would be very weird if any person older than 16 or 17 was waiting to see the new movie. It sucks more than all its vampires together.

Am I am the only one who does not find him attractive? The only reason why girls and moms are screaming his name is because he is in a bad, yet popular movie.

I think whoever wants to be a fan of Twilight or Harry Potter or whatever that isn’t a teen…SO WHAT, that’s their decision. It’s kinda good to be a free spirit and a kid at heart, better that then some crack head or whore on the streets. I watch cartoon network with my kids all the time and I love watching their disney movies and such with them, that isn’t weird, so what. If other people see it that way, then oh well. I don’t care. I think characters like him and Harry are cute into the sense as I can see them as my boys when they are older, I don’t see them in a sexual way. I’ll be like…aww, he’s so cute (like I’d say of my kids) not all hot and heavy, no. And I’m not even that old, but I’m not into little boys, so ya,lol. As in Twilight, I’d prefer Carlisle, he’s a very attractive man. Wait, Robert is 24, we don’t even have that much of an age difference, but I still see him so young,lol. I’m not into True Blood, I saw it once on the telly and I wasn’t interested in the nudity sex scenes, not my scene.

Just curious – not trying to be pissy – but the people who say he’s a bad actor, have you seen him in anything besides Twilight? I think the acting in Twilight was alright, nothing spectacular but not horrible. However in some of his other films (Little Ashes, How To Be, Harry Potter), I thought he did a wonderful job. I mean yes he’s hot sparkly stuff but I also think he is a good actor. I always just wonder if people knee jerk assume he is a crappy actor because they don’t like Twilight, or whether they’re noticing something in his other films that I missed? (perhaps because I was blinded by lust lol)

i wrote a comment in another post about the grown up women that basically were swooning over twilight on the oprah show, and when taylor and robert met those fans, oh that was so bad. i felt bad for them! why do people have such delusions about their lives they can’t separate reality from fiction, that taylor is not jacob and robert is not edward, etc. i guess they now know what daniel radcliffe feels like. no matter what they do for the rest of their lives they will always be known as jacob and edward.
If you saw him in Remember Me you would not be saying he’s a bad actor.
He’s playing Edward EXACTLY how he’s written in the book. I say he’s a great actor. But don’t take my word for it. You’ll see.

Robert Pattinson is such a sweet person to go along with visiting a house of a fan. That just shows how down to earth the sweet guy really is. It is a wonder the family didn’t just lock the door and keep him! He keeps saying the bores people talking about his life, but I would love to just sit around and talk to him. He seems so humble. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Pattinson for raising such a darling.
