Ugh, I have no idea what to make of this. One thing I’ll give Rihanna – she does try to make interesting videos, and try be a challenging visual artist. Unfortunately, most of her attempts seem kind of lame, although I did kind of like the video for “Rock Star 101”. Anyway, this is Rihanna’s newly leaked video for “Te Amo”. The song sucks. And the video looks really budget too, and like a really strange concept. I think the video treatment was like this: “Okay, we’ll hire French model Laetitia Casta to strut and writhe around in garters and a collar, and then maybe Rihanna will try to make out with her, and maybe that will be sexy. Oh, and it will take place in a spooky European chateau, and then after they’re done almost-kissing, they’ll both wander around in the yard. Excellent.”

I didn’t even recognize Laetitia Casta. She used to be one of my favorite models, but I haven’t seen her around much. Did she need a paycheck? Because the girl is pretty, but she can’t act her way out of a plastic bag. She and Rihanna have zero chemistry with each other, they both seem less focused on each other and more focused on posing hard as they stand sort of close to each other. Oh, and there’s a weird faux-bondage sex party at one point. No one is really doing anything, they’re just sort of hanging out in leather and fur hats. God, it’s just like my life! Bondage fail.
