Gwyneth Paltrow: Losing baby weight was “the hardest thing I have ever done”

wenn5488073

I swear to God, I thought these Gwyneth Paltrow quotes were repeats. You know why? Because all this bitch will talk about is exercising, diets, what she eats and how much weight she gains or loses. Not only do I believe that Gwyneth has serious issues with her own (and other people’s) body image, and that all of endless detoxing is actually harmful to her health, I now believe that Gwyneth has some sort of obsessive-compulsive tick where it’s always in the back of her mind, it’s all she ever thinks about constantly, day after mind numbing day: “Food, food, exercise, kale, detox, weight, exercise, food, detox, juice, weight, detox, detox, exercise” on and on and on.

So Gwyneth was interviewed for fraud trainer Tracy Anderson’s new workout DVD, which comes out in another week. And Gwyneth got to talk freely about her favorite subject: herself. More specifically, her weight and how much she exercises. Of course.

Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed how she lost her baby weight.

The Oscar-winning actress, who is married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin, gave birth to their second child in 2006 and found it hard to regain her figure – but she said every woman could make time to burn off post-natal pounds.

“After my first pregnancy, the weight had come off a little bit better but after the second one it was really stubborn. It was really hanging on,” said the 37-year-old.

“It was not easy and, when I started it, it was by far the hardest thing I have ever done – but I really was seeing results so it motivated me to just work through it.”

Gwyn’s personal trainer, Tracy Anderson, helped her lose weight after giving birth – but she said it was something every mother could achieve.

“Every woman can make time – every woman – and you can do it with your baby in the room,” she said.

“There’ve been countless times where I’ve worked out with my kids crawling around all over the place. You just make it work, and if it’s important to you, it’ll be important to them.”

Gwyneth reveals how she lost her baby weight in the Tracy Anderson Post-Pregnancy Workout which is released on DVD on Monday July 19.

[From The Press Association]

You just make it work, and if it’s important to you, it’ll be important to them.” What? Because no child is too young to learn that their mother is totally OCD about working out two hours a day and doing juice detoxes every month and having fragile little bird bones from vitamin deficiency. Ladies and gentlemen, Gwyneth “I Do It All For The Children” Paltrow.

    She is OBSESSED. Scary.

  2. Rachel says:

I don’t think she’s obsessed but I do think it is a priority in her life. If my job revolved around how I looked, I’d make it more of a priority in my life as well. I also think that the reason she talks about it all the time is because she is asked about it all the time. As for these quotes, well they’re for an exercise DVD so I don’t know what you expect her to talk about other than exercise.

  3. bite me says:

    whatever Goopy

  4. irishserra says:

I cannot get over how bad her skin looks. She is not aging very well. What is she doing??

  5. TeeTee says:

she bores me with her repeat conversations–its all she EVER talks about..what she ate, what you should eat etc.

not trying to look like you Goopy

  6. Marjalane says:

She adds nothing to my life. She isn’t even fun to gossip about.

  7. katie says:

i understand why she is concerned with her looks bc of her job….i wish i had a nanny to watch my 2 babies so i could work out!

  8. lisa says:

I hate how on the “age issue” of Vogue it shows Gwyneth as “Queen of the Kitchen” and an “anti-age guru”.

How is that at ALL possible when she basically continuously starves herself of nutrients as a way to “keep thin” and has bones as brittle as an 80-year old?

  9. Richi says:

she never had baby fat! she always had looked malnourished & sick!!

  10. Saor says:

I read this article while eating a huge home made cookie- for breakfast. It improved the taste greatly. I think I’ll watch Shallow Hal later while eating a sack of white sugar to show my love for Goopy.

  11. a says:

well it certainly wasn’t her acting she worked hard on…

    “every woman can make time”?

that’s a little out of touch, unless that means i should try using small hand weights during my commute or a run the stairs when i’m working through lunch.

as for exercising while my baby is crawling around on the floor or possibly under me? no thanks.

  12. Green Is Good says:

“Every woman can make time – every woman – and you can do it with your baby in the room,”.

*Eye roll* Yeah, especially if every woman has an army of nannies, maids, personal assistants, personal trainers.

    She’s a pretentious, arrogant C-U-Next-Tuesday.

  13. gabs says:

Oh Goop. sigh. Does she not realize what she says? The HARDEST thing shes ever done is lose weight? I wish I had that life.

Shes so repetitive about the blandest things. Like a freakin broken record about the diets and the exercise

  14. Tuatara says:

She looks like hell in the pink dress.

And if losing the baby weight was the “hardest thing” she she “ever done” – well, she needs to get a life. Believe me, there are much harder things out there than a fat ass.

  15. jc126 says:

That top look is awful on her! Hideous dress, like some modernist reconstruction of something Jackie O would wear, hair overly platinum in a semi-pouf with dark eye shadow – VERY aging. Matronly.

  16. cara says:

can someone PLEASE hook this horror up with Melly Mel Gibson (date wise). I mean really, if losing post preg weight was THE hardest thing in her life, sheeesh!

  17. Leek says:

I ate a whole pizza last night. I wonder if sh would find that offensive. It also had pepperoni.

  18. Lisa Turtle says:

She has not had a very hard life, eh?

  19. nj says:

Didn’t her father die from cancer?
I guess she wasn’t around much to take care of him.
Because I had to live-in and help take care of a parent with terminal cancer, and take care of my three year old and 8 year old at the same time. The medications. The bathings. The bedpans. Tears and despair stifled so my boys wouldn’t cry too. No time for myself, not even in the middle of the night.
Thank goodness I didn’t have to work out in peace in a gorgeous gym, so I could look hot. That would have been a true nightmare.
Don’t f*cking tell me what’s hard, Gwyneth Paltrow. You obviously never bothered to find out.

  20. Wayne Coxcsmith says:

Whoever this person is, she would look hot if she gained 3-4 stone.

  21. Becca B says:

Okay, so losing baby weight is “by far the hardest thing” she has ever done?

    Bless her heart. :-/

  22. Once says:

She is way too focused on the physical.

  23. Jazz says:

    @soar & Leek- I’m eating Pringles! 🙂

These skinny actresses have never been fat in their entire lives, so when they have a baby and gain weight it’s horrifying to them. If losing weight is the hardest thing Gwyneth has ever done then she should thank herself very lucky.

  24. anon33 says:

@ gabs, tuatara, Lisa Turtle (awesome name BTW), nj, becca b, and jazz:

    OMG RIGHT???

I could see if she had 100 lbs or more to lose but for Christ’s sake…she needs to just shut her damn mouth.

  25. amy says:

I’m not sure what your talking about but the Post Pregnancy DVD by Tracy Anderson has been out for years. This sounds like a recycled story to me.

  26. isabelle says:

‘Losing baby weight is the hardest thing I’ve ever done’ – what depth her life has had. I like Gwyneth, but this is too much.

  27. original kate says:

yeah, come on, ladies! if you havent lost that baby weight it’s because you just aren’t trying! wait, what? oh, so you ladies don’t have housekeepers, nannies and a personal trainer like goopy? never fear, fat-assed peasants! goop will show you how to make a low-fat sandwich from angel’s tears, unicorn hair and dewdrops gathered by wood nymphs.

  28. lucy2 says:

That’s what bugs me about her – she has no concept of how the majority of people live, yet feels she must tell everyone how to do it. I’d like to see her walk a day in someone else’s shoes, and see if she still thinks everyone can do what she does.

  29. Camille says:

Now THIS is a boring interview. And yes, she is far too focused on the physical.

  30. Ruffian9 says:

The hardest thing you’ve ever done? Really? Rethink, Gwynnie.

  31. julbug says:

She’s an ass and her kids have stupid names. I hope she reads this.

  32. Dannnii says:

Just stop posting her verbal languid diarrhea. People can be bores if they want…just stop posting it.

  33. annaloo says:

HIT HER… whoops– I mean, HATE HER

  34. angela says:

God she gets on my nerves. If this is the hardest thing that she’s ever done, her life is ridiculous.

  35. Asia says:

    She looks hungry.

  36. Anti-icon says:

I Can’t Even Read This. If losing weight is the among the hardest thing this poser has ever done—may I suggest Hospice volunteer work; or riding in the golf cart with Sean Penn in Haiti. God, she rankles.

  37. kaligula says:

wait, do you think she has avian bone syndrome?

i live for cb’s stories on dame goopy. lmao, they are unfailingly hilarious………
