Since when does being a Christian make you automatically against gay marriage? As a Christian, I find that horrendously offensive. Granted, I do not go to church or affiliate myself with a particular denomination of Christianity, but I did go to a Christian college and my core beliefs are based in that theology.

Anyway, people do not choose to be gay. That is the way they are born. You can’t control being gay, any more than you can choose your eye color. It’s just something you are born with. I just do not believe that God would put people on earth and then decide it is a sin for them to follow the natural human instinct to seek out a loving relationship.
So, any gay people reading this-please know that loser Lohan speaks only for himself, not for all of Christianity.

Thing is, I think when you take away all the drama surrounding her, LiLo actually is a good actress. I don’t quite know why, but I am rooting for her to overcome her demons and show us what she really can do on the big screen. Maybe in a few years, when she has matured more. I just think she has a lot of potential.

You got that right! I quit smoking back in November and have had to make a conscious effort to keep my mouth shut when I see someone light up. It really is not easy to contain myself, but I have to remember that until I made up my mind to quit, NO ONE could talk me out of smoking. I would just roll my eyes at them and continue lighting up! 😉
However, I did nag both my parents into quitting, both after 50+ years of smoking. So, nagging does have some merit…!

I respect that the Catholic Church does not feel the same way, but remind myself (and others), that the Church preaches that everyone must follow their own conscience.
In my opinion, Mr. Lohan would be a much better Christian if he were examining his own heart and conscience and trying to be a better person (and father!), rather than making public judgments against his daughter.

Two of my best friends are Gay, and even though the church does not support this, I make up my own mind with my own heart.I do respect the churchs opinion but I follow my christian conscience and I dearly love these friends. What else does Michael Lohan do with his time besides spout off? I never hear of him doing anything. I do hope if Lindsay decides to go through with her wedding, that she DOES not ask EITHER parent to walk her down the aisle. They have not contributed anything to her welfare but heartache and spending her money and using her for their own gain and fame and fortune. No wonder the poor thing is messed up and confused.

I lost the “love” of several family members including my dad, but I finally faced the fact that I was born this way, and like my mother says, God created me in his image, and he loves me the same as everyone else. I also have an almost 16 year old daughter who doesn’t even remember a time when I was “straight” and she is well rounded, kind and accepting of everyone and passes no judgement. Why can’t everyone be like her?

Vd, There are differences between vehemently defending opinions in a mature adult way, and vehemently defending opinions in an immature, crass way. The mature adult way, makes for better debates and truly enjoyable forums. The crass way, which you are way, way into, just makes you look like an uneducated, uncouth fool
The bible also says that adultery, sex before marriage/living common law, drinking too much is also a sin yet that type of behaviour doesn’t get the same criticism homosexuality does. Sex before marriage/living common law is actually accepted.
It’s almost amusing how some people pick and choose what to follow in the bible and then judge people who commit the sins they are against like and I bet at least one of the posters here using the bible to judge gays are guilty of doing that.
