It won’t happen. It would require her keeping to a fairly normal schedule and working for more than a few days. Got nothing against the girl, but those two things seem to be above and beyond her life skills lately.
Sacrilege!! Cult classic!! Russ Meyer will be turning in his grave.
She would probably just make a cameo like Fergie did in Planet Terror (not a Tarantino flick, but part of Gindhouse).
He doesn’t seem like he would be a Britney fan, it’s probably just for publicity since Grindhouse didn’t do that well at the box office.
Good Grief. Think about the effect getting inside the head of this character could have on her own barely functional life. Talk about playing with fire.
I believe this rumour. It has a ring of truth to it. Tarantino has a history of revitalising actors’ careers, and I bet he really HAS had Britney Spears in mind for this role all along. I believe it, plus I have a feeling that Britney would be excellent in the role. She gets way too underestimated. This would/will be a film I will definitely DEFinitely see. I love Quentin Tarantino’s films, and I adore Britney Spears.
Looks like Brit-Brit is back to using Proactive, the pimple/scab that lived on her chin for the last year and a half is finally gone. I was starting to think maybe she had an STD on her face.
I can’t see Britney as Varla, maybe as Billie but not the lead. However, since the Russ Meyer film is one of my favorites, I’m keeping my fingers crossed this remake never happens.
Thank God, bdthomp, it’s not just me.
Another thing, Brit’s not even near big-breasted enough to walk in Varla’s killer boots. This would be wrong on so many levels. NOT remake material. Put it down Quentin. Now.
Team Snowblood. 🙂
For some reason I think Spears + Tarantino = film magic.
Psh. Give it to the girl who can’t even act.
@ Kaiser – “Spears + Tarantino = film magic.” I know, right? That’s a great way to state it, and I completely agree.
Celebitchy- I have tried to em@il you twice in the past 2 months, and never got a reply back. Does your em@il work?
@Snowblood – I think it’s because Brit & Quentin are unhinged in two completely different, yet completely compatible ways. If it happens, it will rock. 🙂
I’m with snowblood too.
Tarantino single-handedly revived John Travolta’s career (who single-handedly trashed it again)… so I have faith Quentin could do it for Britney. Plus he seems like he’d totally be into Brit, even if he is being a little “ironic” about it.
I thought Quentin’s muse was Uma ❓
You know, I’d like to see Britney do well and all, but Quentin seems to be seeing something I don’t get.
I’m with geronimo and bdthomp… step away from the funny little cigarette Quentin.
Oh hell yea, Britney would be perfect for a prime Tarantino role. excellent! 😆
Who’s her little twin, dressed exactly alike?
OK, OK if Tarentino MUST put Brit in a movie I wish he’d just write her a part and leave FPKK the fuck alone. What’s with all the bleedin’ remakes? It’s like sampling has invaded the film world…
