Charlie Sheen is in rehab for three months, or is he?

wenn5433692
TMZ is reporting that Charlie Sheen’s rehab stint is scheduled to last a full three months, which is of course leaving the crew of Sheen’s hit show Two and a Half Men worried about how they’re going to make ends meet. Only Rob Shulter at Popeater is suggesting that so many people depend on hooker and coke-addict Charlie to show up to work that he’s probably going to cut his rehab short to return to the set. I’m sure he’d like nothing more than to get back to his regular routing of playing himself on TV, smoking crack and building his porn star family in the neighbor’s mansion. It all depends on how good the ratings are for next episodes of Charlie’s show. It’s like everyone who enjoys that show is enabling this guy because if the show remains popular he’ll be sent back to work sooner rather than later.

Although Charlie Sheen has finally checked himself into an undisclosed rehab facility, no one knows how seriously he’s going to take it until the ratings come in for this week’s ‘Two and A Half Men.’

“If the ratings go through the roof again, as they did after Charlie’s incident in New York, CBS and Charlie will be out again in no time and back to his old ways,” warns a close friend of the actor. “However, if the public finally stops rewarding Charlie for his bad behavior, then, and only then, can you expect him to take the situation seriously.”

Why? It’s simple. Charlie makes a substantial bonus on his industry-topping salary ($1.25M per episode!) if the show does particularly well.

[On that subject … the next highest actor in sitcom land is Sheen’s co-star, Jon Cryer, at $550,000 per episode. The ‘Half’ in the show, Angus T. Jones, is TV’s highest paid teen, raking in $250,000 per.]

Mark Burg, the star’s manager and an executive producer of his hit show, told PEOPLE, “Charlie knows he has work to do, and he is looking forward to regaining his sobriety.”

He added, “Charlie hopes to be back at work in the near future, but there is no time frame. Regaining his sobriety is what is most important.”

But insiders familiar with the situation tell me CBS only has two unaired episodes of TV’s No. 1 comedy in the can. So although team Charlie claims there is no time frame (“near future”), they mean they hope the troubled actor is back on the set within a few weeks.

[From Popeater]

I hope TMZ is right and that Charlie’s in for three months regardless. Popeater is probably right, though. E!’s Ted Casablanca has a quote from an unnamed CBS executive who says “What can we do? He shows up to work, on time. He’s polite, and he makes us hundreds of millions of dollars.” Then he has a meltdown with drugs and hookers (who tweet, talk to the media, and reveal the $30k checks he writes) and ends up costing the network hundreds of millions of dollars. Funny how that works.

Here’s one of Charlie’s latest porn star family members, Kacey Jordan, on Good Morning America today. She said that Sheen was on a “suicide binge” with four other women and that he ordered up five eight balls of cocaine and was smoking it all night. He also asked the porn stars if they could live in the $250k a month mansion next door he was renting and if they could potentially babysit his kids, who weren’t there. It looks like $30,000 can’t buy a porn star’s silence.

This show needs to be cancelled, all this guy’s $$ is going to drugs and porn.

  2. Tuatara says:

I doubt that Charlie Sheen is “looking forward to regaining his sobriety”. I think he really enjoys his lack of sobriety.

  3. JenJen says:

I think Emilio is available to do the show.

  4. He needs all the help he can get.

  5. guesty says:

The news anchors were so appalled! But for the sake of their viewers…guess they have to be. Not new news or even shocking news @ this point. But the 30k chick did seem genuinely concerned.

  6. Marjalane says:

I’m sorry but I have no sympathy for this worthless fool. I say we lock him and the CBS executives in a hotel closet with his briefcase of cocaine for a long week-end. Party on Charlie.

  7. MarenGermany says:

gosh, didnt even make it through the video.
How come a porn star/cock (typo and stays)addict gets that air time????
Seriously, what world are we living in that she can just sit down there
    and talk all demure???
Charlie Sheen most likely stashed multiple toys and his dick in various of her body openings while watching porn and getting high as a kite with all different kind of fucking drugs.
She is like the scum of mankind and yet gets to sit down there and talk.
    This makes me REALLY angry.

  8. Anastasia says:

    WOW.

So he wanted porn stars to babysit his young kids.

At the “party mansion” next door.

    What. The. Hell.

Honestly, if he has any kind of visitation right now with his kids, and I assume he does, I hope to GOD it’s supervised and if not, I hope it gets changed to supervised. I’m NOT for taking kids away from a parent at all, I think it’s best to keep a relationship if at all possible, but when the parent is doing shit like this, yeah, supervision only and only when the parent is back in their right mind.

  9. Johnny Depp's Girl says:

This is so sick and sad!

  10. Diane says:

No way he’ll be in for 3 months. He doesn’t think he has a problem.

  11. Hautie says:

Has anyone else notice that this Popeater guy is normally wrong.

He writes these out of left field “sourced” items, that get picked up by other bloggers and they never seem to be any truth to them.

I think his “source” is Sparky the neighbors Housecat. 🙂

  12. KJ says:

I dunno why, but after watching that clip, that porn star seems a-ok to me. She sounded like she was just going to party and didn’t expect to see Charlie Sheen snort his career all the way to rehab.

    Lol @ “babysitting….at a porn mansion.”

  13. sapphire says:

This guy needs a locked unit-with the doors welded shut. Yes, I know, he can’t get sober unless he wants it, but I can just see him making a break for hookers and blow in his jammies at 2 am.

  14. Attagirl says:

Hookers and porn stars BABYSITTING HIS KIDS???? I hope Denise and Brooke run away, far far away – this utter turd (to use Charlie’s vernacular) of a human being should be kept away from his offspring for the rest of his life.

  15. Innocent says:

    @Hautie
Yes i can’t remember the last time that this guy was actually right with any of the “exclusives” in his column.

If he is planning on doing 3 months then that is a month max of inpatient lockdown.

  16. njnick says:

I dont know why everyone cares so much and is angered by Sheen’s actions. If he wants to smoke coke all night, let him. If he wants to blow all his money on hookers, let him. Seriously, who cares. Dont watch his show but until people stop watching Two and a Half Men, Charlie is going to continue to get paid. Who cares how he spends his money. I really dont understand the anger here.

But until he cleans up, he should only be allowed supervised visits with his children.

  17. mln76 says:

I don’t think he’ll stay in rehab long because I don’t think he believes he needs any help and he has already sunk so low without any consequences. Unless his doctors can convince him to value his life.

@njnick my anger comes from the violence he inflicts on the women he is with. I don’t care if he hurts himself but beating up women, shooting women, locking them in closets just isn’t right. And it disgusts me that he is the highest paid sitcom actor and everyone thinks he it’s just hijinks. Sooner or later if he doesn’t stop he will kill one of those girls and there will still be some defenders out there saying it wasn’t his fault.

  18. InVain says:

    This man disgusts me.

Wonder what’s in that paper lunch sack he’s carrying.

  19. Maddie says:

The more I hear of his antics the more I think of Anna Nicole Smith and how she died, surrounded by enablers, who for their own selfish reasons let this type of behavior go on until she died.

  20. dread pirate cuervo says:

He’ll stay for the detox but not the rehab. 7-10 days. Is it weird that I’m surprised he was freebasing? Just with that NY fiasco he was still snorting, all Scarface with the powder on his his face. Or maybe he does both interchangably. Can I say that I love the fact that he’s wearing a Cleveland hat? I’m a Yankee fan so it’s not that he’s flying my team’s flag, but it’s like a subliminal message: I’m just that crazy kid from Major League. I think he’s a total mess & way far down the rabbit hole at this point, but my reaction to the hat is uncontrollable. He’s def got a genius team working for him.

  21. OriginalGracie says:

Then why doesn’t the freaking network write a check to the crew and pay their salaries so Charlie can stay for the 3 months????

It’s not like they don’t have the dough. They are paying Charlie an obscene amount of money to play himself.

CBS doesn’t care about anything but their own bank accounts, that is my take.

  22. OriginalGracie says:

Is he wearing his wedding ring in that top pic?????? Is that some kind of sick joke?

Some people don’t like Charlie not based upon his porn/hookers/porn stars/cocaine habits. They don’t like him because he has a tendency to get violent and hurt the women in his life that had the misfortune to date/marry him and have his children.

He is not really the cool easy going guy he pretends to be. He is dangerous.

  23. bluhare says:

@piratecuervo: Was he really freebasing? I know it says he smoked cocaine, but I thought it meant crack. If he was truly freebasing, I can’t believe he hasn’t set himself on fire yet. Crack makes more sense to me.

And I hope this rehab is better than the last one, you know, the rehab he had to go to when he pulled the knife on Brooke Mueller. He did his 30 days by going over there and spending the night then leaving the next morning.

  24. Roma says:

@dread pirate cuervo: why do all of my drug comments seem to be directed at you?

But I was totally surprised that he’s freebasing. I spent a lot of time this weekend explaining people the difference between smoking cocaine and crack; including to my mother, who asked about both the drugs and the porn.

Thank you Charlie Sheen, because of you I had to hear my mom say “dildo”.

But I’m guessing he sniffs in public and smokes it in private. Either way, beyond out of control at this point.

  25. njnick says:

@ mln76 – youre right he is going to seriously harm one of these women at some point. By no means am I condoning Charlie’s behavior or blaming the victim but these women need to consider their safety and decline his invites even if they are passing up 20K. At some point the risk outweighs the benefit. And trust me, these women know what they are getting into. Let Charlie smoke his dope and destroy himself alone in his porn room.

  26. dread pirate cuervo says:

@bluhare, my experience smoking it is sprinkling it into a blunt, so I was just assuming on the freebasing because he had the suitcase full of powder not full of crack. But he might have all those chicks there as emergency firemen, too.

@Roma, right? I guess b/c I’m sober now, my only outlet for all this stored up knowledge is celebrity crack-shenanigans posts.

  27. MsDeb says:

I read the comments and I understand the anger. However, I choose to focus on the comment made about the people who work on this production – at all levels. Have you considered this economy? Yes, in theory, those workers on the lowest level can find other jobs, on other productions. But, are there any available? Through the actions of this undeniably “sick” man, there will be those who lose their homes, their financial stability, etc. Maybe even their health benefits. Why should his actions be rewarded by an hiatus – thus confirming his supposed irreplacable value? My husband is 70 today. He has loved this show since the beginning. But I have noticed that he no longer laughs at the “Charlie” character. However, the last several shows, he has roared with laughter over the antics of “Jake” and “Eldritch”, and of course “Alan”‘s reaction to their behavior. This is supposed to be a comedy, not a one tasteless joke – 30 minutes long – about booze and hookers. That is a stale storyline, made all the more repulsive as it parallels Charlie Sheen’s real life. This family would love to see this show continue (without Charlie Sheen if necessary). Give us more of Alan, Jake, Eldritch, Evelyn, Berta, and bring back Herb. There is a reason “Alan” (Jon Cryer) receives awards. His comedic timing is perfect. Bring it back to an ensemble about family, instead of a one note boozefest. You simply have to go far to surpass the human volcano, the shopping cart on the roof, and the fart lighting. Yes, it is juvenile, but have you been following the news? Sometimes, it is just what you need – laughter at silly things. Additionally, reconfiguration of the show would allow the financial burden on all those involved in this production to be much lighter. So many of us are struggling with just $3.19/gallon gasoline (in Florida), why would anyone want others to suffer more financial hardship? It’s just a television show, that we watch on a Monday (the day shown to have the most heart attacks in the week). It provides silly comedic relief to life’s problems (except for the “Charlie” storyline). Let it go on, let him regain sobriety, and realize the beauty and promise that is life, and give the rest of us a 30 minute appointment to healing laughter. He and his family remain in our thoughts and prayers, as does the welfare of all involved in producing this show. This is just my opinion, I am sure you will have others, as you are entitled to do so.

  28. Lynda says:

CS is similar to the story of many other’s with addictions to drugs. It’s just as sad for him as for anyone else. What makes it sadder is that he has children and he doesn’t think that he has a problem. He needs to go awzay from the publilc eye and figure out what to do with his life.

  29. mln76 says:

I understand that people have jobs and work hard etc etc. But all of the people I know who do work in production understand that their jobs are unstable and on a purely freelance basis. The same goes for actors this isn’t the equivalent of working in a factory or office. Everyone associated with that crappy sitcom is lucky they have been able to work this long.

  30. JustBe says:

Following the Charlie Sheen story just illustrates the glaring disparities in how our society, particularly our justice system, treats the haves vs. have nots.

How many times has Sheen been caught with insane amounts of illegal drugs in his system or in his possession? He’s never done one day in jail or even been arrested as a direct result of drug use. Yet, the vast majority of the jails across this country are filled to the brim with people whose primary crime was using drugs.

I’m incredibly angry and astounded that because he is rich and a (popular) celebrity that the normal laws just don’t apply to him. Especially when you consider the combination of the large amounts of drugs in his possession coupled with the violence against people and property, prostitution purchases, etc., etc.

But, I guess when/if he succeeds in snorting his life away that our fine justice system will be sure to incarcerate whatever dealer may have sold him his final blow and whatever hookers happened to be in the room with him sniffing/snorting. Justice for all!!

P.S. I want to emphasize that this rant is in no way in support of our draconian drug laws (history and research has conclusively shown that you can’t cure addicts by incarcerating them), I’m just astounded by the very obvious distortion between the social classes in the hands of the justice system.

P.P.S I also don’t understand why Lindsay Lohan has been prosecuted for drug use several times, but Sheen has not. I guess she’s not rich (anymore) or popular enough.

    /rant

  31. Feebee says:

I think Charlie Sheen’s an over paid, drug and alcohol dependent, hooker/porn star obsessed menace (esp to wives and girlfriends) who’s show I no longer watch because a) it stopped being funny enough for me long ago and b) I don’t want to endorse or encourage Charlie Sheen’s outrageous salary BUT I do have to commend him on his ability to be a productive member of society professionally speaking. However I agree with whoever said he should only have supervised visits with his kids.

Tacky as it seems, why shouldn’t his porn star co-partiers speak out? If publicity’s good enough for Sheen and his show, it’s good enough for whatsherface and whatever it is she calls a career.

I don’t think he’s really thinking about the cast and crew losing their jobs because in his mind he’s doing his job as required and so their jobs are safe. Plus he’s probably putting his drug dealer’s kids through school too. If a network decides to pull the plug on a show no-one gets on their backs about jobless cast and crew.

  32. mln76 says:

@JustBe I agree with you although Sheen did have legal problems before his first marraige and getting on a sitcom since he’s found sucess on CBS he’s become untouchable.
As for Lohan read the eyewitness accounts of the original incident. She should have been charged with aggravated assault, DUI, and possesion. The charges only became serious after she failed to take sober classes over a period of 2 years. She basically forced the judge to put her in jail when they had been too lienent in the first place.

  33. Innocent says:

    @mln76
Lindsay was overcharged in the first place and thats why she got the plea deal. The witnesses weren’t credible and she had Blair Berk as her lawyer so the D.A knew it would have been a waste of money. You can’t charge someone with felony possession if it isn’t 0.5g. Her cocaine amounts were 0.4g and 0.2g.
The charges were never serious that Judge went way over the top in July.
A scram as part of her bail conditions? Then after she struggled with but eventually completed 3 years of probation she got 1 year of formal probation for nothing.
The 90 days of rehab was a joke as well as she wasn’t the original Judge and LL didn’t fail any drug tests.
That sentence for missing a few classes was completely wrong. Even the D.A thought so and Lindsay would have completed probation on November 1st if she hadn’t failed the test. Now she will in 25 days.

  34. mln76 says:

@Innocent LiLo has proved just how blameless she was with her subsequent behavior but I don’t feel like getting into this with you. The point is if either Charlie or Lindsay were normal people(or minorities) their asses would have been in jail for a long time.

  35. CB Rawks says:

Innocent, you are fully aware that you are full of crap, and we are aware of it too.

  36. xxodettexx says:

    poor lindsay! poor charlie!

rich people should ALWAYS AND FOREVER get away with illegal activities that the rest of us schmucks dont! duh!

    go rich/famous people! woohoo!!!

    /sarcasm

  37. Crash2GO2 says:

I find it oddly touching that he was attempting to make plans for his children’s care while they are with him – however assinine and misguided the attempt was. I believe they may be the only people in the world that he loves. Perhaps he will pull himself together one day for them. Perhaps.

  38. Mia says:

    Celebitchy,

Might want to update this report. Charlie has refused to go to rehab & is home. Per Popeater and some other sources.

  39. icantbelievethis says:

@Crash2Go2 I thought the same thing. Well, at least he does think of his kids.

  40. Stella says:

I just think it’s sad. It appears that Charlie doesn’t or thinks he needs help.
I think of all of the workers on the show, from catering, lighting to actors.
He has a had long lurid history. He needs to find his way. I don’t know what else to say. You can’t force a horse to water. How are you supposed to make a man, who makes millions per yr., to do something he doesn’t want to do or have a yearning?
I’m tired of reading about him. I don’t know a single person who watches the show. I don’t understand the appeal.

He also looks terrible, even make-up cannot conceal.

I feel bad for his children.

And I’m incensed by his treatment of women. I wouldn’t even think of raising a hand to my husband or another woman. The women who go onto tv to provide “accounts” are just enabling behavior.

  41. sammib says:

Ok. The beating chicks bit is wrong, really wrong – if indeed he has beaten them…but you know, if the guy wants to get f#*ked up that’s his business. Like they say, he turns up for work, does his job. If he’s having fun, and he kinda looks like he’s enjoying himself, and he can afford it – who the hell are we to fun police him?

  42. Hakura says:

@Crash2GO2 – I totally understand what you mean (& I know you don’t mean he’s in any way a good parent, or would make good decisions).

But it’s probably better if he doesn’t think of them, if the result would be his thinking it’s appropriate putting them in the custody of prostitutes/drug users. It’s bad enough that they’d be in *his* custody. But God only knows what would happen to them if he left them with people like that. (Granted they’re likely better parents than he is.) But given his paycheck, the temptation for someone to disappear with his children for ransom would be unfortunately high.

Especially if he was passed out next door. Though I *really* hope none of their mothers would be stupid enough to leave the kids in his custody alone unsupervised, EVER.

  43. Crash2GO2 says:

@Hakura: “Though I *really* hope none of their mothers would be stupid enough to leave the kids in his custody alone unsupervised, EVER.”

Amen. The interview with the ‘adult entertainer’ should be enough ammunition for any of his exes to get court orders to not leave him unsupervised with his kids if they don’t already have those orders. I know Denise has publicly stated that she does not leave her girls alone with him unsupervised.

  44. Hakura says:

Not surprisingly, at least Denise has immediately made public statements regarding that whole mess.

I’m just a little surprised the other mother hasn’t made a statement yet. Of course she was supposedly as nuts as Charlie, so who knows.
