These are photos of Blake Lively in New York City last night, attending some kind of Chanel event in her honor. She’s wearing Chanel too – it’s a dress from the 2009 Chanel collection. I actually like the dress on her – Blake looks good when she’s covered up and her bolt-ons aren’t so obvious. The Mail claims that Chanel is just about to launch Blake as “the face” of Chanel Mademoiselle handbags in Paris, so I’m sure we’ll be getting photos of Blake with Karl Lagerfeld any day now. Blake isn’t wearing Chanel head-to-toe though – the shoes are Louboutin – did you know that Louboutin named one of their shoe designs after Blake? Ugh, this chick.
In additional Blake news, there was this interesting little tidbit in Page Six this morning:
Blake Lively shared lunch with businessman Vivi Nevo at media mecca Michael’s yesterday. The “Gossip Girl” star and the wealthy investor’s intense discussion had other diners buzzing. Blake recently split with her co-star Penn Badgley while Nevo, reported to be an early backer of the Weinstein Co. and a major shareholder in Time Warner, split with Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi in 2010. A rep for Lively insisted, “It was a business meeting,” but declined to say about what.

Because Blake is known for her business savvy? Or did Blake’s rep mean it was a “bidness” meeting? I’ll admit, this Page Six piece makes Blake sound like a prostitute who “dates” the highest bidder. I’m not saying that’s what actually happened, I’m just saying that’s how it sounds.

On someone who knows how to wear high fashion I would probably find this dress lovely. On Blake it looks like embellished cardboard.
I don’t understand why people have such a strong hatred towards this chick. I mean, she has some talent. Never watched a Gossip Girl show in my life but she was terrific in The Town. She nailed her accent. And she’s really pretty. I don’t see what the problem is with a young girl trying to move up in hollywood.

I don’t have any feelings on Blake as an individual one way or another.
HOWEVER…her appearance is so NOT high fashion. She always looks like a cheerleader who just got done with practice or something. This stuff never looks right on her.

I like the dress, actually. It is very refreshing to see her wearing something that not cut down to the waist and only hits the top of her thighs. And I thought she was awesome in The Town, too. That said, I’m not a particular fan, and I’ve never watched Gossip Girl.
I think the dress would be lovely without the shards of mosquito netting.
ugh her bolt ons and her fake nose….everything is so fake about this chick including her personality and wanting to prostitute herself to highest bidders for her 5 minutes of fame….i guess she needs it as she has no real talent backing her bolt ons. the dress looks like cardboard and her head is looking too big for her body, even with the bolt ons…

Blake is a pretty girl . . . but that is all. She is not gorgeous. She is not stunning. She’s not all that different. She is cube steak next to a filet mignon. Jello pudding next to a creme brulee. The high fashion clothing looks out of place on her because she always looks like a cheerleader or surfer girl who stuck a fancy dress on.
That being said, at least she tries. 🙂
I don’t hate her….she was decent in The Town. But I don’t get the fuss……she is very average as far as looks go. Seriously.

I can’t believe everyone before me posted about the clothes! My first instinct after reading Kaiser’s post was, “Oh hell yes she’d bang every one of Weinsteins friends and investors if it meant a better chance at the next casting!”. Although now that I’m feeling snarky about the Gosdong, I’m not all that interested in making fun of old Boobs Lively.
The girl must have amazing publicists and hidden talents, because she is utterly generic and forgettable in all other respects and I don’t understand why she gets the clothes and invites she does.

If that story is true, then that’s a downgrade for Nevo. Zhang Ziyi is gorgeous and Lively has the face of a foot.
Love it–she never comes across as vulgar which so many young actresses do, and think it’s edgy–To think that she and Racoon McPantless were/are on the same show is funny.
FYI–Alot of actors/actresses/tv personalities literally have big heads. They look better on film for some reason. LA is the land of lollypop people.
I like Blake. She has a great personality and interviews well so I don’t get all the hate. I also don’t really see the big deal about her not being gorgeous. There are many actresses who are just pretty and marginally talented and they get by despite not having personality. Just look at Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Gardner.

She has the perfect figure for this dress, but I’m not digging the hair/earrings (not particularly fresh or sophisticated).

This Bish just got her nose refined! LOOK AT THAT! I was wondering where her famewhore was hiding during all those award shoes. She could have scored cheap invitations to the various after parties, and the smaller venues like the Independent Spirit Awards. After all, Blake was in The Town this year. It looks to me, like she was hiding out for a few days after having some cosmetic work done.
She had her first nose job early in her career. This appears to be a second, minor procedure, simply refining the bridge. This type of procedure does not break the nose, and the recovery period afterwards is much shorter than the traditional nose job. When Blake lost all that weight last year, so her nose was looking a bit larger. But here, especially in that second photo, you can see she recently shaved the bridge down. It’s positively angular now.
Girl knows how to work the system. I agree totally with Isabel…Blake looks like a cheerleader playing dress up.
@dea, actually blake’s dad is not a movie producer, he’s an actor. he played her dad in the sisterhood of the traveling pants.
