Charlie Sheen’s show: More angry fans and walkouts in Dallas

This is good news for fans of decency, for Charlie Sheen’s insipid “Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not An Option” tour has hit another series of rough patches. The above photo, taken a few weeks ago in New York City, shows fans expressing their disappointment after watching Sheen’s live show. That particular performance had followed a series of uneven crowd responses, including the first show that bombed in Detroit and an allegedly well-received turn in Chicago during the second show. Now, it looks like the tide has turned once again after a reportedly warm response in Houston was followed by a disastrous show in Dallas, which was apparently so bad that most of the audience hadn’t even paid for their tickets yet were still so disgusted that they walked out midshow:

Just one night after wowing the crowd in Houston, Charlie Sheen failed to make the same impression in another part of the Lone Star State.

At his Wednesday night show in Dallas, Sheen was initially met with a standing ovation and loud applause. As has become tradition on his My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not an Option tour, Sheen came onstage wearing a local sports team jersey — in the case, a Dallas Mavericks T-shirt.

But the crowd at some point apparently turned on the actor, according to Dallas/Fort Worth TV station KDAF.

Both he and radio personality Kid Kraddick were “heckled severely while on stage,” KDAF reported, adding that ticket holders exited the show “early by the dozens.”

Most of the crowd surveyed by KDAF said they had gotten their tickets for free.

Among those who attended were Mike Vosters, a Texas Christian University senior who is reportedly one of the 50 finalists in the running to become Sheen’s social media intern.

“If he does something wrong, or if he says something against Texas, we’re very proud people,” Vosters told KDAF before the show started. “So I don’t think they’re going to give him any slack if he starts cutting jokes or rubbing people the wrong way.”

[From Hollywood Reporter]

For the saner types amongst us, the obvious question is why anyone would volunteer (paid or otherwise) to watch Sheen get onstage to rant while showing a stream of YouTube-quality videos, but I guess some people are just gluttons for underwhelming punishment. Still, it warms my heart just a bit to know that Sheen is still losing his quest to takeover the world and set up makeshift harems along every major interstate highway. Not even his own people can stand him at this point, since Sheen confirmed a few days ago that “goddess” Bree Olsen had dumped him via text message. Sheen is also preparing to depart for an Australian adventure, where he will appear on a radio show. No word on whether any live shows are scheduled for the poor Aussies, but I suppose we’ll hear about them if that’s the case. If anything, i’m just surprised that he’s still alive.

From what I hear in Dallas media, maybe MAYBE 1000 people showed up, and no video was used in the show.

  2. Rita says:

I’d pay to watch Jessica Simpson tuck in her flip-flops at night before I’d give a dime to see the douche of Warlocks.

  3. lrm says:

    people were angry and disappointed?
    wth did they expect?
omg people are more amazing and ridiculous to me than charlie sheen….
what idiots. i mean, if i were going, i guess it would be out of curiosity/being part of the hoopla of the moment/watching a trainwreck…
I would NOT be assuming sheen’s show migh tactually be good-that would just be a bonus. expect the worst, be glad if it’s not awful.

not that i would ever consider going. at all. just sayin’-people cannot be too bright….

  4. DenG says:

He looks very unwell. And old.

  5. girl says:

I’m not sure who the girl is on the right (his left) in the pic where he is wearing a green shirt but she looks like one of the Bush twins.

I can’t believe this shit-show is still going on. 5150 his ass already.

  6. curmudgeon says:

His “goddesses” look disturbingly young in these photos. He looks like an old man molesting high school girls.

  7. WOM says:

I have no sympathy for the audience if they’re complaining about the calibre of these shows. In essence they are paying to witness someone have a psychotic breakdown.

  8. guesty says:

If a porn star quitting your ass is not a huge red flag….there is no hope. No offense to porn stars.

  9. someone says:

I wouldn’t go see that show if they paid ME to go…

  10. jover says:

I agree with the above but what was the crowd cheering for – it’s not like he’s doing anything heroic or noble; he’s a high school dropout that’s screwed himself out of millions, he’s not even taking on the hollywood multi-national corporate greed culture – what is there to see?

  11. Crystalline says:

Its not a good sign for Charlie when he can’t even pay them to stick around. She was smart to get out while she had a chance and its interesting she did it with a text–was she afraid of how he’d react? I sure would be.

  12. The Other Katherine says:

This man is a boil on the ass of humanity, and should be in prison for domestic violence.

On the other hand, his crazy ramblings did give rise to the best LOLcats ever. So at least there’s that.

  13. MarenGermany says:

he looks like death warmed up and even his closest people (aka the godesses) leave him via text mail, because they dont love him. nobody loves him.
    winning, duh!

plus: i am suprised this hasnt been covered more, but GOD they look SO young.
actually you shouldnt say if you´re not 100% sure, but he strikes me as a pedophile.
    just sayin.

  14. Kallan says:

Yeah – I thought they both dress like little girls – which is a little ‘Eughhh’ considering Sheens age (and he’s really starting to look older!) The shorter one (Bree?) looks like she about 14! So maybe her brain is only operating at that level – which would explain a lot…..

  15. CassieGoesCrazy says:

Uggghhh… can Customs keep him out of Australia? He has a criminal record. They banned Snoop Dogg from coming here, we should ban Sheen too!

  16. gg says:

And they expected what? Duh, Losing …

  17. John Wayne Lives says:

Wow. He does look like he’s an old man getting touchy with some high school girls. Pretty sick man.
    On another note…hm…so, he’s still alive then…k

  18. Hakura says:

@Irm – “people were angry and disappointed? wth did they expect? omg people are more amazing and ridiculous to me than charlie sheen….what idiots. i mean, if i were going, i guess it would be out of curiosity/being part of the hoopla of the moment/watching a trainwreck…

Cosign, totally. Was going to comment, but you already covered everything I thought about it. xD The audience only have themselves to blame for allowing their voyeurism to attract them to the human equivilent of a bloody tragic train wreck. They just want to see him self destruct, that’s the only reason anyone even went to these shows.

Actually, I find this really sad & pitiful. I know he’s talked & done enough shit to deserve the fallout. But it’s still sad to see it catching up to him, leaving him drowning in a sea of his own making, regretting the way he’s utterly ruined his own life with all this.

  19. SassyOne says:

I actually feel pity for this guy.Empathy, not so much.

True enough, he is potraying himself as a serious dickhead, but this guy is seriously, majorly MENTALLY ILL. If anyone reading has any familiarity with BP disorder, I salute you. I know what I see, because I have seen it, and lived with it.

The really sad thing ( which eclipses lost money due to foolish ticket purchases)is that when the mania retreats, this guy will be hit with the blackest depression. Self-harm is always a concern.

I can only hope that the public will become more aware. Yes, now he is a dickhead, tomorrow he may be dead.

I convey this information only to assist and assuage those whose lives have been unbalanced by simply knowing a deeply suffering bipolar.

Charlie Sheen= piss off. Bipolar disorder= fuck off.
    Living with a sufferer sucks.

  20. Lilith says:

Kid Kraddick talked about his experience on his morning show today (106.1 Kiss Fm). He was furious, he said Charlie was winging the whole thing. You would think after doing the shows for awhile he would be organized. Not! Charlie lied to him, said that certain ppl were supposed to be there and was not. For example, some comedian. The guy never confirmed he would be there, but Charlie created a slot ne way, so since the guy never showed they had a janitor, you read that right, JANITOR read some jokes to the crowd. WTH?! Then throughout the show Kid was repeatedly thrown under the bus by Charlie so that he wouldn’t look like the jerk putting on a bad show. He fronted Kid in front of the audience by saying, “I thought they loved you, you said they would love you”, when they started booing. Even though he was riding a slow boat through hell, Kid tried to be a stand up guy and not bailed. I’m sorry I would have given them a show by wooping Charlie’s ass.

  21. Amanda G says:

I don’t feel sorry for any of them. Spend your money on a REAL stand up, singer or performer. Not some drugged up, entitled snob.

  22. Jaariel says:

I love Kidd Kraddick! I am so sorry he got caught in Sheen’s Defeat is Inevitable night of sh!t fiasco in Dallas. Kidd is a great guy & deserves better. He does lots w/ his “Kidds Kids” charity by taking whole families w/terminally ill children on Disney vacations who otherwise could never afford it. Google him & you’ll see.

  23. anti says:

Here in Houston many folks that went were talking positively about it or tweeting that it was good from the show. I didn’t go, though.

  24. lucy2 says:

I don’t get the expectations either. Pretty funny that most of the tickets were free, I bet all those that bought them early on feel like total suckers now.
The frenzy is dying down, and I agree with Sassyone, once all the attention goes away for good he’s going to be in even worse shape than he is now.

  25. DD says:

For the people that walked out, they deserved it. Honestly what did they expect? I sort of consider them part of Charlie Sheen’s many enablers.

  26. Charlotte says:

BS. It was great and original.
Actually Charlie was great but the host Kid Kraddick was boring and not funny at all. Yeah some people did not like it but majority liked it. Of course you don’t speak about them..as for most of the negative comments here it is pitiful and laughable, you were not here so just shut.up.big time.
