Arnold Schwarzenegger has put all his pending moving projects, including that umpteenth Terminator sequel he was slated for, on hold until further notice. The cheating scandal has basically derailed his plans for a movie comeback (of sorts) after leaving his post as Governor of California in January. Ten to one there are at least a handful of women this guy cheated with who are about to come out of the woodwork. We just heard from one who gave some pretty sordid details to the Enquirer.
It was just over a month ago that Arnold announced his plans for an animated 3D “Governator” movie, which he planned to make into a franchise with a comic book, TV animated series, a video game and eventually a film. He was supposed to promote it at Cannes, but we know how that worked out for him. Now that his reputation is shot he’s voluntarily withdrawn from that project along with everything else he had in the works.
Amid the fallout of his split from wife Maria Shriver and the news that he fathered a child out of wedlock, Arnold Schwarzenegger has ceased all acting projects, including his anticipated return to the Terminator franchise.
“At the request of Arnold Schwarzenegger we asked Creative Artists Agency to inform all his motion picture projects currently underway or being negotiated to stop planning until further notice,” Patrick Knapp, entertainment counsel to Schwarzenegger and a partner at Bloom, Hergott, Diemer, Rosenthal, LaViolette, Feldman Schenkman & Goodman said Thursday.
“Governor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines,” the statement from Knapp continues. “This includes Cry Macho, The Terminator franchise and other projects under consideration. We will resume discussions when Governor Schwarzenegger decides.”
As for how Schwarzenegger is doing in the wake of the scandal, a source close to him tells PEOPLE, “He feels very bad about the situation. [He is] fully prepared to do whatever he needs to do to rebuild [his family’s] trust.”

While Arnold is saying how much he loves Maria and wants her back, I hope she’s finally ready to wash her hands of this ass who cheated on her and lied to her for over 25 years. They have kids together and will have to continue to coparent, but hopefully this will convince her to divorce him and get on with her life.
Yesterday I read an editorial in the NY Daily News that this whole cheating scandal might not hurt Ahnuld’s career. At that point no one knew he would try and put a hold on his career to save his marriage, and it was generally thought that some cheating shouldn’t be a big deal in Hollywood. As some of you have pointed out, Arnold doesn’t endorse any products and now that he’s no longer Governor he’s not being held up as a standard of morality, which seems to be lower for actors anyway. It’s not like he’s racist, abusive, on drugs or has a sex tape out. Still, that doesn’t mean he’s not going to feel the fallout pretty hard, especially if he is operating under the delusion that his wife is going to forgive him. He should have focused on his career and realized that he screwed his marriage away decades ago.
Check out this trailer for The Governator. They use his biographical details and that’s even a close replica of his mansion. It’s funny if you imagine him screwing the maid in that superhero outfit. What an ego this douche has. This was just a small part of his career plans after leaving the Governorship. He still thought he was a big action star too.

He’s a smart guy. Pre-nup or not, it makes sense to put all contracts on hold until he figures out how much the divorce will cost him.
He’s rich. He’s 63. He’s got another ten years of movie-making, easy. His core audience (men, boys) aren’t going to abandon him because of this scandal.
This move is all about the money.
The nicest thing I can say…is if that’s his daughter, she’s really pretty. Especially considering how odd both her parents look, to me. He’s such a sleaze, and this should destroy his career, as well as the women he cheated with who KNEW he was married. I’m not your typical traditionalist, but marriage should be taken a lot more seriously than it is.

It’s a good thing Ahnuld has put his career on hold, it’s a bad thing the studio(s) didn’t fire him the minute the scandal broke.
I have a feeling there may be indictments on the horizon for Arnold if there were any gov’t funds that ended up transporting or employing his mistresses. That may even be the real reason he’s holding off on his movie career.

I have empathy for the kids. The housekeeper knew better yet she didn’t care at all. Karma is beeyotch and now this woman can not fathom private anymore. Every where she goes she will be hounded by the paps 24/7. This is why she has not come out of the house she lives in. As for her son, I pray that no one bothers him as he attends school and enjoys his friends.
I also pray that Maria has better sense than to take this ‘gentleman’ back. Trust is a heavy thing in all areas of life and once that is broken, it’s a wrap; no matter how much he may whine about he loves her. I bet Gloria Allred has a ‘batphone’ in her office for those mistress calls. Another Tiger mess is on the horizon. 🙁
Not abusive? I beg to differ. His behaviour is abusive to women AND his children, even if it’s not violent. He’s a grossly narcissistic user.
This true stuff puts the rest of the made up tabloid stories to shame. So much so, they should be ignored more than they usually are.
Something new and horrid keeps coming out on this on a daily basis. Arnold should try and get it all out at once since this is like a slow drip. Good for tabloids and gossip but horrible for the children involved. It must be especially hard on his teenage sons since the main father figure in their lives is a true blue slug who mistreats women and cheats on their mother. Not a good example to young men. Not saying his daughter is not affected, but she has other strong women in the family and she is an adult, but teenage boys have it tough and this must be ripping them apart. But then come to think of it, if she was a daddy’s girl, and this is what she sees, then it must be equally hard for her as well.
I found it disturbing that no one was outraged that he seduced a 16 yr-old when he was in his 40’s that is digusting and legally speaking rape.

Our local news service just said that he was fond of the boy often flying him in his private jet to vacation with his Maria’s kids.
Was there a big demand for his work? To me, a Schwarzenegger film is as exciting as a Sylvester Stallone or Bruce Willis movie. It’s not the 80s anymore.
I do feel sorry for Maria and the kids. She probably knew about some of his screwing around, but I doubt she realized the extent of it. Funny how an ass like him takes for granted a life so many others would cherish like crazy.
I think Arnold is one of those very complicated men who is extremely skilled at compartmentalizing his emotions. I actually believe that he loves Maria, but he has a dark side that he knows how to turn off instantaneously (which is of course no excuse).
I also believe that Maria was truly in love with him. She left her very successful career as a news anchor for him. Those early pics of them dating/being married reveal a beaming, ecstatic woman.
He seems to lack some basic relationship tools. Perhaps his star rose before he had emotionally matured, or perhaps he is simply an entitled ass with an occasional soft spot for a career gal with killer blue eyes.

I think the stuff on hold is a combo of the money/divorce issues, and public scorn. You can’t launch any kind of expensive project when you’re the butt of every joke and people aren’t happy.

I disagree with @Dorothy (poster 12): yes, the housekeeper knew he was married, but given that she was in an employment capacity and he was, essentially, her boss, that’s a messed up power dynamic immediately and she may have felt like her job was on the line. Do I know that that’s what it was like, well obviously not, but given his overall history, I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t actually get off on being in a dominant power position, sexually or otherwise.
If anyone had the upper hand it was the mistress; seeing as she was the one who bore his love child, helped him ruin his marriage and created a public relations nightmare for his entire family. Her and Arnold are idiots. Maria is so much better without that fool.

Who cares ‘what kind of person’ Arnold is. The fact is that celebrity-society relationships never really work out. It’s bad enough to be a Kennedy, like Shriver is and don’t tell me that she doesn’t contribute. Despite her adamant belief that she is assertive, she is still one of those accommodating Kennedy women who ‘stand by their man’. It’s just that the revelation of a lovechild broke the came’ls back. That’s all.
At least he didn’t bail out on the financial support of his extramarital child.
And really, someone should really take away Gloria Alldred’s license to practice law. That woman is more disgusting than a womaniser for even having the audacity to represent mistresses, like they’re some disgruntled and disenfranchised ‘workers’.
