As I already showed you earlier today, Beyonce is on some of the covers of the July issue of W Magazine. What’s interesting is that W Mag decided that Bey should “share” dueling covers with Christina Aguilera. First of all – Beyonce is WAY more important than Christina, and if I was Bey, I would be offended. Second of all, Christina Aguilera?!? The drunken mess? The one who flashes her liquor-plumped figure in inappropriate clothes? Yes, that Christina. You might not have recognized her on this (low-quality) cover. Apparently, this shot of Christina is “recent”. And I’m sure they didn’t have to spend a full week Photoshopping her body.
Some people are comparing this shoot to some Lady Gaga photo shots in years past. I’ll admit that Gaga did come to mind, specifically Gaga’s Vanity Fair shoot last year, but I don’t think this Christina shoot is a blatant copy. Lots of photographers do this “ethereal” style, so meh. I’m more offended by how ridiculous the Photoshop on her body is.
Last thing – Adam Levine slams reports that he and Christina are fighting on The Voice. He told MSNBC, “She’s great. I respect the s**t out of her. She’s going through a tough time, and God bless her. This show is great for her, but if she busts my balls, I’ll bust hers.” Also, Cee Lo Green claims that all of the judges – he and Christina, Adam, Blake Shelton will all be coming back for the next season, if there is one. So Christina is back on top, I guess?

From the neck up she looks like some strange religous picture. From the neck down they pulled some serious photoshop magic and made her a lot thinner, huh? Strange, ’cause while she isn’t teeny tiny, she is not in need of virtual plasti surgery either!
she, like so many others (Jessica Simpson, etc.) look SO MUCH BETTER without all that crap caked on.
Ehhhhh – I wanna cut her a little slack. Does she seem drunk on The Voice? YES (telling geeky cowboy singers she wants them to take off their pants, for instance). But ALL of the judges have seemed drunk to me, so far. There have been plenty of incoherent Blake/Adam moments where they get the giggles over nothing….
And when the guys bust each others’ balls, they’re just perceived as “having fun.” XTina busts in there with something similar and she gets branded as dumb and bitchy……
HOWEVER – I absolutely CANNOT excuse her hideous flippin outfits. It’s like her faux melons are just crying out for help – for something that doesn’t strangle them. And the amount of cellulite that she parades around on that stage is…..shudder-inducing.
(this W cover: not bad. ‘shopped as hell, but not bad. sort of “Sistine Chapel-esque.”)
Christina has one of the best voices in the music industry……. So…. Respect. I dont care abt her antics, its blown out of proportion. Shes too talented.
Now if only she could transpose the make-up from this photo-shoot to her every day life, maybe she wouldn’t look so awful in the face.

She looks better without the clown makeup and straw/gross hair. But then, so does everyone. I don’t understand how ridiculous plastered on makeup and banana colored hair is attractive to anyone.
Christina has not looked like that in a very long time!! Theres a resemblance to photos from Christina’s dirrty era minus that ratty black hair and piercings. Also notice how her tattoo on her forearm is missing, could just be photoshopped out though.
In the first picture she looks like Scarlet Johanson and Lady Gaga.

Yea I would be pissed if I was Bey too. Like seriously, when I saw that W magazine put some chocolate on the cover I was like Yay good for them, they’re branching out. I spoke to soon. Does W magazine do dueling covers often? Because otherwise this is crazy. Why can’t Bey have her own cover moment?
Christina looks lovely on the cover and she has been looking a hawt ass mess since she split with her husband.

I’m with Heatheradair. She is doing as good or better than the other (all male) judges on The Voice and is really great with her team. She seems to be being true to herself as she has always been over-the-top when it came to fashion and make-up and at least she isn’t a typical Hollywood stick figure.
The girl can sing so leave Christina aloooooooone….

Can I just say that I have seen a few episodes of The Voice and it’s pretty decent? There is good chemistry/banter between all the judges. I have always thought Levine was a douche but now he’s growing on me. Christina looks awful on the show, but she does a good job and is very talented, no doubt. And I knew the name Blake Shelton before, but that was it. He is HOT. Like, HGF hot. And so sweet and charming.
That first pic made Piper Laurie in ‘Carrie’ pop into my head *giggle* They def photoshopped it but I kind of dig it.
And please – someone tell her, as much as I have love for her, miniskirts are a privilege, not a right. Get some more fabric on that hem, damn.

I don’t get her. I’m always so turned off by her appearance (and oversinging), but on the Voice she comes off as really normal, nice, and sensible.

That’s a pretty scary picture. She is looking like one hell of a hot mess on The Voice. I can’t even place it, something is just off about her face. And her hair. Oh my word, her hair. She just looks awful. But she is very talented, which doesn’t make her antics ok, I just respect her talent.

Christina’s so pretty without a f*ck-ton of makeup on her face. I think she has serious insecurity and self-esteem issues and the drag-queen makeup, self-tanner and overly sexy outfits is a way to hide. I think she could benefit from a little therapy if she wasn’t so afraid to examine her life too closely. Shame as she’s really talented. Wish she’d get it together.

Hate to be a bringing-down bitch but that cover is a heaping helping of photoshoppery. Which is too bad really. I like Christina’s new full figure. (Though I’d like it more if she stopped dressing like the hookers in Grand Theft Auto III…) I think they should’ve done something to really show off her voluptuous curves rather than trying to hide them away.

The Voice is a great show actually and yes, it has been already renewed, being the best rated show after Idol in the key 18/49 demo.
NBC announced it last month: next season will air from February 2012. First episode will air after noneless than SuperBowl.
Same judges (whose chemistry and skill are the force of the show).
I thank the show for making me fall in love with mr. shelton and the handsome, witty mr. Levine (whom I’d never thought much of, until I saw him there).
I think the final winner will be from team Cee-Lo though.

First of all, I love Beyonce but Xtina is a legend and can sing circles around Be!!!! So I don’t think Be should be offended!!!
Love/hate relationship going on for me here. I like the softer look much better than her caked-on makeup, tranny-look. But yet I kinda hate how they made her look like a christmas-tree angel. Apart from the nudity, she looks like every 1980 christmas-tree angel I’ve ever seen. But then…should I love it just for it’s difference and the weirdness? Perhaps I should…
In the second set of photos she looks like Victoria Jackson.
Of course she was photoshopped, she’s gained a significant amount of weight, her face is super puffy and her hair is nasty. That look does not sell magazines. She used to be gorgeous – great face, interesting angles and she was kind of spunky too. I miss the old pop machine Christina… remember her hair back then? So cool.
I doesn’t even look like her FFS. Photoshopping is out of control. Beyonce must be PISSED she is sharing a cover with that frizzy courtney love mess. Ugh.
Christina’s pictures remind me of some of the horrid things I did to my hair back in middle school (late 1990’s)… & one of my grandmother’s incredibly creepy looking dolls…Simultaneously. Admittedly, I much prefer this to what she HAS been going. I don’t think we can call this cover shot a ‘photograph‘ so much as an artistic collaboration, 1/4 photograph, & 3/4 photoshop.

I don’t know, it reminds me more of what my friends were like when they got ‘baked’ before we left to go on an outing. Giggling & such. Perhaps after repeated attempts to keep Xtina away from the bottle, they suggested a compromise & broke out the weed.

Totally agree with you. But to be fair, it’s not like Beyonce doesn’t have countless other incredible covers to soothe her potentially bruised ego. But much as the woman gets on my nerves a lot of the time, Beyonce has never openly badmouthed any fellow artist… & if asked, I’m sure she’d say she was ‘honored’ to appear ‘with’ CA.
