The girl looks thrilled to be standing next to Brad, while Brad looks like “whatever.” He’s not ignoring her, but it doesn’t seem like he’s engaging with her either. Still, Brad standing next to a young brunette was enough to send OK! Magazine into a cover story frenzy.

Now, after six years, maybe Angelina Jolie knows how Jennifer Aniston felt. The Oscar-winning actress is going nuclear over Brad Pitt’s flirtatious relationship — documented in photographs — with a young, brunette female assistant on the Malta set of his new zombie thriller, World War Z. And while unsubstantiated rumors still swirl over an impending Jolie-Pitt wedding, insiders say Angie’s jealous rages are beginning to push Brad away.

“Brad resents that Angelina is trying to control him,” a source tells OK!. “He told Angelina outright, ‘I’ve always had women friends, I’m always going to have women friends. End of story.’ ”

Brad current relationship with a beautiful brunette on the set of World War Z is just one of the many female relationships that has irked Angie. Angelina also made sure Brad cooled down his relationships with lifelong BFF Catherine Keener and ex Gwyneth Paltrow according to the source because she didn’t like how close they were.

“Brad just let the friendship go because of Angelina’s disapproval. But he’s not going to do that anymore. It’s affecting the way Brad likes to be as a person, and that’s just not cool with him now,” the source says.

Now Brad is in Malta while Angelina is in LA, thousands of miles away — and he’s getting closer to his new onset pal. “He always seems happier when she’s around,” the source explains. “After all — if you’re spending 15 hours a day with someone, you are bound to get close to them. It’s getting stronger for sure.”

But will it be the end of the World’s Most Glamorous Couple?

Incomprehensible as it may seem to the millions who envy Angelina as an icon of supremely confident — even arrogant — sensuality (oh, and she gets to go home to Brad), the world-saving serial mom has some serious insecurity issues. And it’s driving Brad to distraction.

“Of course, there’s a part of him — even though he would never admit it — that likes it,” the insider reveals. “Angelina is usually this cool, unaffected, kind of untouchable woman, and when she shows some jealousy, it lets him know she has a weak spot — and that, obviously, she’s crazy about him.”

Hm. Well, Brangeloonies, I think there might be something here. I don’t think Angelina likes Brad to have friendships with (attractive) women, and I do think she probably works her voodoo magic to ensure that Brad doesn’t get close, friendship-wise, to other women. Now, is this PA chick Brad’s new BFF? Doubtful. Brad likes… high-profile women. If Brad was going to screw around on Angelina, I’ve always thought he would do it with someone A-list, on his level. As for Angelina throwing a fit and demanding that he end his friendships with Goop and Catherine Keener… I think Brad and Keener are still tight, right? And jettisoning Dame Goop is just common sense.
