At this point, I think Jay-Z and Beyonce do love each other a great deal, and beyond their true love match, I think they are both corporations which have merged. If they ever split, it will get tricky. But for now, I think they’re doing their thing and they’re committed to being together… just maybe not committed to being faithful to each other? Ever since CDAN did those “Blind Items Revealed” on the Fourth of July, I’ve been wondering about Jay and Bey. Here’s the blind I’m speaking of:

Is it for real? I have no idea. It wouldn’t surprise me to learn that Jay has someone on the side, or multiple side-pieces. Speaking of, In Touch Weekly has an interesting piece about Jay’s activities while Beyonce is in Europe:
On July 20, Jay-Z was partying with model Selita Ebanks at the Qream Liqueur by Diageo launch at the New York Public Library, and he didn’t seem overly concerned about his wife, Beyonce.
“He and Selita were hugging and giggling,” an onlooker tells In Touch. It wasn’t the first time the 41-year-old rapper was seen living it up without Beyonce this summer. On July 8, at NYC club 1Oak, “Jay-Z walked in around 1 a.m. with several really pretty girls that looked like backup dancers,” an eyewitness reveals to In Touch. “They bought a ton of bottles and Jay was very flirty – dancing with them while they passed his phone back and forth. He even let one of them sit on his lap.”
According to the eyewitness, “Jay-Z seemed really carefree and single, like Beynce wasn’t on his mind.”

ITW goes on to note how Beyonce is spending the summer in Europe, on tour, and how she’s going through a hard time because critics don’t like her new album and because her father maybe/probably stole money from her when he was her manager. Then ITW brings up BABIES and how they’ve both talked about how much they want the babies but how they’ve never found the time, and somehow that ends up all on Jay, when really I think it’s Beyonce who doesn’t want to have babies right now and Jay is the one who does.
So, do I believe that Jay is out at the clubs with Selita and randoms? Sure! Why not? I think this marriage has two courses right now: either they will stay together, through thick and thin, no matter what random, model, or mistress comes up; OR, they will end up splitting very soon, and it will be epic.

i’m team beyonce regarding procreating. i mean, seriously, who’d want to run the risk of making a baby with jay and having him/her look like dear old dad? stay in europe, bey, and let the hubby do his thang here in the states.
Of course they’re not going to split up.
1. That would harm their image.
2. They have no-one better to uptrade with.
3. It would cost money and time. Why waste it?
4. Apparently, they’re both finding ways to make it work: run off to Europe (she) and party with other ladies (he).
I definitely don’t think they’ll still be together in 10 years, but for now, it’s far too convenient.
Beyonce has beautiful hands.
I can see them splitting – he’s going to get less and less discrete until it becomes impossible for her to sing any of her alleged “female-empowerment” anthems with anyone keeping a straight face. And maybe her Dad’s shenanigans have convinced her that starting a family with a man who has a pretty loose grasp on the concept of fidelity might not be such a good idea. Who knows?
You can’t split that easily from a multibillion dollar contract.
she already knows about one of his affairs. maybe that’s their deal? they both have pieces on the side.. I hope so anyway, that jay z isn’t the only straying in the relationship.
I think it’s Beyonce who’s holding on to this relationship. Think about it she has the most to lose. Yes she has money but her fame isn’t as secure as his is (he’s worth more right?) and with this epic fail she’s going through she would be stupid to drop out of one of the most high profile relationships. In fact I always thought it was her connection to Jay Z that upped her factor and pushed her ahead of the other popstars. I don’t think she’d have lasted this long without his name and connections.
And the fact that he’s out there publicly hanging with other women, it clinches my suspicion. She’s letting him do what he wants as long as he doesn’t divorce her.
But she’s making an epic mistake by not popping out one of his kids. Sooner or later he will find a woman that wants to be a wife and mother to his children, instead of a woman more concerned with her career. I think when it comes to that she won’t back down, and that might be another reason he’s lashing out so publicly. I think he’s getting older and he’s at a point where he wants children.
Oh I think she knows and if you listen to her album she’s pissed about it. But she’s not letting him go. She’ll never top Jay-Z’s status and she’s happy to be the ‘wife’ and look the other way. He isn’t going to stop cheating on her though. I bet Goopy and Bey have sooo much to talk about on this subject.
I find all these stories of infidelity and triangles amusing. The tabloids need an unhappy couple or two or a new triangle–Jen/Ben/Jen– to stay in business. The other constantly splitting up couple hasn’t done it, so, for a short period they move on to others.
Don’t know the truth, but at least now folks can’t say the tabloids are racist. Equal opportunity trash, but I hardly call it progress.

Anyone who has half a brain would know hooking up with any rapper (needless to say him) is not looking for faithfulness or devotion.
She is soooooooooooooo boring, it is just a matter of time until the mask is off their business deal. Until then must we hear her BELCH. She had one peppy tune (crazy in love’), since I just can’t find a reason why she tries to call herself a singer or star.

DUH. thats the only word that came to mind when i read this article. lets look at the facts:
1. jay z already has a son with a video model, who was born right around the time that he and beyonce got serious.
2. jay z was the propelling force behind the launch of beyonce’s solo career first with ’03 bonnine and clyde and then with crazy in love.
3. in most of his interviews he keeps talking about wanting to have children and in all her interviews she keeps saying no child in the near future because of her ‘career’
4.beyonce is now managed by live nation, who is in a direct partnership with jay thru a $150 million deal and his roc nation label
there are many other factors but its pretty obvious that they wont be one of those couples that stand the test of time. either way Jay Z will benefit. either beyonce will finally give in and give him the kids and time he wants or he’ll take his name, his influence, money and power and find a woman that will.
she knows she wont last career wise without him, thats why she’s been turning a blind eye to his activities
Of course Jay wants kids; he’s 41, he’s already got one by another woman, and he wants some with his wife. If she doesn’t give in and give him some time (and a kid or two), he will absolutely seek out someone who will.
All this “I work so hard to keep my body looking like this” really makes me sick. How about letting your body do what it was designed to do, and have a kid with your hubs? It’s not like they can’t afford it or they don’t want to be parents.

@the original bellaluna. I have to say it’s not a wife’s responsibility to give her hubby kids if she doesn’t want them or isn’t ready. I just think if you haven’t discussed and aren’t in agreement on the issue after you’ve been married it’s a sign of much bigger problems. If Jay-Z is cheating with multiple women and let’s face it he’s a rapper who is proud to be a player so he probably is-why should Beyonce bring a child into the situation. That won’t stop him from running around behind her back.

@mln76: well said, I couldn’t agree more. I think it’s actually kind of disturbing how often you hear this argument, i.e. that it’s a woman’s ‘duty’ to give her husband children. It’s not. There are way too many children being born as it is, the world will keep spinning if Beyoncé or any other woman out there should decide that it’s not for her. Whatever her reasons. It’s just her decision to make.
And from what I read in this post, a child is hardly going to fix what’s wrong with this couple. I mean, it’s not like Jay is out there partying with other ladies because he’s so sad that his wife won’t have his babies.

I agree a woman should not have kids before she is ready however if you dont want them or are not in a rush to have them you should not enter a marriage with an older man who wants babies. I’m sick of both of them and i’ve posted on recent bouncy threads my opinions of her; both are way overpaid, overrated, largely forgetable music; full of themselves every now and then they throw scraps to the black community to maintain their “cred”; if they were cool and hip I could tolerate them but J Z is a 16 yr old high school dropout who acts like he’s a political savant and bouncy is an utterly fake corporate pop star. I don’t know if its right, and I feel so conflicted about this issue. The urge to procreate is biological in men and women, and that is hard to fight. But these days, people just divorce if a marriage is not completely satisfying in some way at every given moment and giving them what they want, instead of sticking by the vows they took, and being willing to be selfless and compromising with eachother.
I dunno about these two, or if it is true, but the have/have not issue about children has broken many a couple.

Obvious this marriage, like Jen and Brad, will not last. If he wants kids and she doesn’t, he will find someone to have kids with and check out of the relationship. That’s a fact no matter which spouse it is. Men are usually not dumb like women who want kids but don’t have any because they married a man who doesn’t want kids. Kids are a deal breaker.

Selita Banks just said that this was “sooo fake” on her twitter. Every magazine and/or blog is always running with a new rumor about them because they’re so private that they don’t have anything else to talk about, so they either say she’s pregnant or that he’s cheating.
I don’t believe he’s cheating on her, to me they seem so happy. And they’ll have children when they both are ready, simple as that. I hope they last!

Jay-Z was not Beyonce’s first boyfriend… I believe he was not her first in any sense. She had a couple of boyfriends in Houston before she was solo – original incarnation of DC – and they were relatively “serious.” I don’t know how serious, but Jay was at least not her first boyfriend.
