Last night was the LA premiere for In Time, and I’ve just figured out the biggest problem with marketing this film as I stared at the photos – the film doesn’t include a star who people are simply excited to see. Justin Timberlake is the “star”… but people don’t care enough about him to, say, “go to a Justin Timberlake film.” The other man-meat in the film involved Vincent Kartheiser, whom I adore but most people don’t know, and Matt Bomer, who is probably the most interesting person in the cast (he’s so interesting that I’m devoting a separate post to him later).

As far as ladies who will get asses in theater seats, we have Amanda Seyfried, one of the better young actresses in Hollywood, but still not really a “name”, and Olivia Wilde, who has become the Typhoid Mary of box office bombs this year. So let’s just do a straight-up fashion post about Olivia and Amanda, and how they can’t even wear anything attention-getting at the premiere. Amanda wore this cream and purple Prabal Gurung cocktail dress which is… pretty. Not amazing, not bad. I feel like it’s the wrong color for her? She might have been better off wearing all-purple, but this is okay.

Meanwhile, Olivia wore this Yigal Azrouël Spring 2012 gown. I think the back is sexy, but from the front… you miss the details, and it looks like she’s just wearing a black sack. Plus, I dislike her hair and her makeup makes her look really, really druggy. So, I guess Amanda wins.

I’m also including pics of Vincent Kartheiser and Justin. Vincent is so cute, and JT is so not. Justin always looks like such a dork to me. Do women ever actually get hot for him?
