Jennifer Lopez covers the April issue of Vogue Magazine, their annual “Shape Issue”. J.Lo hasn’t had a Vogue cover since… 2005, I think. The pictorial was shot by Mario Testino, and I’m pretty sure the photo shoot must have been done in Miami – we had behind-the-scenes photos of Jennifer back in January while she was doing a photo shoot in Miami, and I believe it was with Testino. I kind of like the cover shot, which is the only thing that’s been released thus far. She looks sultry and pretty. However, I’m not crazy about the choice of Jennifer for a Vogue cover girl at this point. It just seems… dated. We’ll have the full Vogue photo shoot and cover interview when it’s released. Maybe later today, maybe tomorrow.
Speaking of dated, have you seen Jennifer’s new commercial for her Kohl’s home accessories line? It’s… awful.
Why is Jennifer extending her brand into stuff like this? I’m sure there’s money in it, of course, but is she that hard up for money?

I love Jennifer with darker hair.
Nice cover
I’m so glad you mentioned those hideous Kohl’s commercials! They are so bad- I cringe everytime I see her flygirling in those ghastly yellow shoes!
do you know who directed this ad? ….Darren Aronofsky!!! they have Darren Aronofsky and he did a total generic JLo ad!
She looks gorgeous on the cover pic.
Maybe baby boy toy has expensive taste and mama has to make more $.
FINALLY.
anna wintour has gained some points back in my book. this cover was long overdue.
SO 1993.
She’s a beautiful woman with horrible taste in men, that needs to stop worrying about the boy toy and spend some time with her kids.
I think it’s all the product in her hair and the quintessentially ’90s flip that’s making her look so dated.
the cover isn’t dated:it’s not uninspired!
i don’t see where is the interest to have Darren Aronofsky as director if he did a generic JLo ad!
she looks beautiful. she can do no wrong as far as fashion and style are concerned. and whereever she’s going to get those extensions, sign me up! she has the most natural looking ones I’ve ever seen. my only thing with Jennifer is it seems like it takes an awful lot of work to get her looking naturally pretty. the spray tan, the makeup, the extensions. she is no Eva Mendez when it comes to a natural sex siren beauty like that.
I suspect that Jennifer took a serious hit to her checking account… during her marriage.
She sorta just let all her money generating business fall to the way side. Like the clothes, perfume and her personal endorsements.
Yet, she kept on spending the money as if she was still had money coming in.
Now she is all over the place. Needing to get that money while she has this second chance.
And the best part of this Vogue cover.
It probably killed Victoria Beckham that Jennifer… whose clothes line is sold only at Kohl’s… is all over Vogue this month.
Gross. When is Vogue going to have unknown skeletal 15 year olds wearing couture on the covers again? I know snorey, oatmeal bland celebs bring in the bacon, but they have no business calling themselves a fashion magazine with Sarah Jessica Horseface and “Jenny from the Block” on the cover. I repine at what Wintour has done to the magazine.
JLo’s gorgeous but man, both that cover AND the commercial seem like they’re straight from the late 1990s.
I’m so over her.
Yes, she is beautiful but she can’t act, she can’t sing and, in my opinion, besides dancing, she has very little talent.
I read almost nothing that involves her anymore. Does she even still sell magazines?
Yawn….zzzzz…boring. JLo is 90s early 2000.
I just really don’t like her.
Beautiful cover horrible commercial. Nice to see she is still with her boytoy, good for her.
She may be a Diva but she looks great and she looks natural unlike Cindy Crawford who is just about the same age as JLo. Infact that cover makes her look the way Cindy looked 20years.
No one cares about J Ho anymore. Anyone seen pictures of her before she was famous? So fugly. Shes always trying to “whiten” herself. Sorry ho your not.
So agree blah and happy21 anne wintour has turned vogue into variety east. This greedy narcissistic ho, that owes back taxes (millions) is the last person i want to see on vogue. Youtube vogue covers 80s/90s and take half an hour to view the clips with real fashion photography and real models; I have yet to hear an explanation from wintour or her lackeys on this tacky celebrity turn – payola, gifts, bored with fashion., etc? One last thing while this useless ho gets a mag cover, Marie Colvin, murdered by the syrian regime, was buried today in Long Island. WHile i’m aware this isn’t a political site, marie colvin was a hero, JHO is useless trash.
Jover,
It’s funny you mentioned Marie Colvin and the Syrian situation. Remember last year’s Vogue article where the Syrian regime basically bought and paid for a fawning article on Assad and his wife? That’s when I knew the magazine had permanently jumped the shark. Who would have thought this was the same magazine that, back in the 40’s, was one of the first periodicals to publish pictures of concentration camps. Now it’s kiss-ass pieces praising mass murderers and tyrants.
Thanks for the reminder faye; it’s disgusting that anne wintour has become a shill for all this crap, and yet she’s feted like some high class fashionista/intellectual/humanitarian, and, among other things, she’s a 17 yr old high school dropout. Very sad what Vogue has become under her tutelage.
I happen to think she looks as stunning now as she ever has. She has defied age very well. She must be using some supplements to retain youth. As far as raw talent is concerned I believe she has the chops to excel within her own niches. She’s not a great actress, but her acting is adequate given the appropriate roles. I just saw her live on “Katie” and she still looks fabulous. As far as intelligence is concerned she is quite feeble. Her aptitude is dull-normal within the scope of our percieved average state of intellect. Her vocabulary is limited and her view of the world is quite narrow considering her extensive traveling and opportunities in business.
