These are some new photos of Eva Mendes, finally back in LA after spending the better part of the past two months in Thailand with Ryan Gosling. Gosling was filming Only God Forgives, and sources say that the film has wrapped and that Ryan has left Thailand too – but you can see some of the last images of Gosling in Thailand here, where he’s in character and all bloodied up.

Anyway, now that Eva and Ryan are back in America, what’s next for the couple that many of us don’t buy? Well, The Mail claims that there are rumors that Ryan and Eva have split. Again. Of course, The Mail is referencing that old report from last month regarding Ryan’s trip to South Africa with a German model – a trip that never took place. Back then, Eva’s rep denied the split. I wonder if Eva will deny this?

Whatever shampoo they use at Salon Desire, it must smell amazing. Eva Mendes,38, certainly seemed to think so yesterday as she left the hair specialist’s in hip Los Feliz, Los Angeles. Beautiful Eva buried her head in her locks, as if to take in the smell of her freshly washed tresses.

She possibly has good reason to want to pamper herself. [Mendes] is rumoured to be on a break from her relationship with Ryan Gosling, 31. He is said to have told his older girlfriend that he needed ‘time to think.’

But then earlier this month the Drive star was spotted having dinner in Cape Town with a German model. Ryan had been staying at the One And Only Hotel in the South African city after telling friends he needed some time ‘to think’.

He was then seen dining with a blonde at the Grand Cafe, a fashionable beachside haunt. The pair had been dating for just six short months.

‘Ryan and Eva are having trouble seeing eye to eye,’ says a mole. ‘He was having dinner with a blonde model who said she was from Berlin. He tried to disguise himself with a woolly hat and scarf and seemed eager not to be noticed as they sat at a beach table, but he was clearly entranced by her.’

Ryan and Eva met on the thriller The Place Beyond The Pines, which is due out later this year, and producers fear they may announce a break-up before the promotional tour.

Yes, I could see how it would be a fear that Ryan and Eva would split before the movie is out. My fear is that they’ll only stay together for the film promotion, though. And then they’ll be done, and then Ryan will be That Guy. He’ll be the Jennifer Aniston guy who “dates” his costars and plays games with his accessibility, etc, and then shortly after the European tour, magically he won’t be “with” Eva anymore. He does have a history of romancing costars, and while there are some good girls in his history (Rachel McAdams, Sandra Bullock), it’s become his “thing” and I not sure how well it’s working out for him.

Now, all of that being said… I don’t think Eva and Ryan have split up. I’m guessing they’re still together, and they will be for months to come. But we’ll see. This couple is difficult to read.
