Sienna Miller can’t catch a break. Following her “homewrecking” of Balthazar Getty’s marriage, Sienna’s career has taken several major hits, and the girl’s been smacked around in the press for assorted reasons.
First, there were some rumors that Sienna’s part in G.I. Joe was getting dramatically slashed. Then came word that Sienna either got fired or she quit the production of Nottingham, the latest Robin Hood film. After that little incident, there was some back and forth about how “thin” and “young” Sienna looked compared to the bloated and older Russell Crowe, but I’ve always thought that was just Sienna’s publicity team trying to help her save face. After several weeks of back and forth with actresses, it looks like Cate Blanchett got the Maid Marian role, and one of the other actors even commented that Cate would bring some much needed “class” to the production.
Now there’s word from some “sources” that one of the other films Sienna has already filmed, Hippie Hippie Shake, has serious problems. Hippie was due to come out this year, but one source close to the production called the film “unreleasable”. The Telegraph has more:
Since Sienna Miller was dropped last month from Sir Ridley Scott’s forthcoming Robin Hood film, Nottingham, she seems to be on a run of bad luck.
First, the 27-year-old actress was beaten to the role of Hester Worsley in a big-screen adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s A Woman of No Importance by Amanda Seyfried, the star of Mamma Mia!
Now, there is growing speculation about the fate of Hippie Hippie Shake, a comedy drama about the Sixties counterculture magazine Oz in which Sienna stars.
A spokesman for the film, for which no release date has been scheduled, is keen to play down claims that a prominent member of the production team has described it as “unreleasable in its present state”.
The spokesman says: “Someone may have said that, but it is not one of the producers. The film is testing really well.”

I doubt the film is testing that well, but Hippie will still probably be released on schedule. My prediction for the critical and box office reaction: an unequivocal yawn. The knives really are out for Sienna, and it’s not all coming from “insiders” in Hollywood. As the parts keep shrinking, or going to other, better actresses, perhaps Sienna will take a step back and re-evaluate her career. Or maybe she’ll just grab another married man.
I’m not her biggest fan but I did think she was pretty good in the Edge of Love. There are certainly worse actresses than her in my opinion, and while I don’t think it’s cool to wreck marriages it’s beyond a double standard if her career is suffering for it – did Brad Pitt’s career suffer when he dumped his wife for his co-star, I don’t think so.
Oh well this is a perfect example of when you put partying ahead of your career. She has no one to blame for her bad reputation other than herself. But I doubt she will take any responsibility for it and continue to play the victim.
She’s over-rated, period. She’s more well-known for the men she’s screwed than any acting gig. That sort of rep would have to catch up with her eventually.
Does anyone else miss the days when you could go to a movie and not know the intimate details of the actor’s lives?
No one really likes a mistress/homewrecker. Unfortunately that is how the double standard works, and the double standard doesn’t look like it will be disappearing any time soon.

I think Sienna’s actually a really, really talented actress with a lot of potential (as long as she keeps learning), which makes me really, really want to love her, and she seems like a really cool, down-to-earth, fun girl who doesn’t give a shit what others think about her, but good, Lord, when she makes mistakes, they’re the stupidest and most selfish ones ever that makes it so hard to like her. I’m often very conflicted, as you can imagine.
As I am over this movie possibly not coming out. Cillian Murphy’s in it! Why deprive us of him, too?
This all seems like a veiled way of saying that she can’t get on with people on set and she ends up annoying the crews.
Who ever got fired for being too young and too thin? And class? They Crowe himself would be questionable.
I’m thinking this more about her professionalism (maybe) but definitely about her ability, commitment and willingness in a team setting.
I mean, remember her comments about Pittsburgh a while back? I’d say she’s just ticked off one person too many.
she was great in factory girl. she’s beautiful too. not getting along with russell crowe is not a character flaw. why slam her for balthazar getty cheating on his wife? she’s young and naive. i hope she sticks around.
Mark, young and naive my backside! This girl knows exactly what it’s all about, ever since she brought boys home to screw as a teenager, with mom’s blessing. She’s a manipulative narcissist and will use anybody to get what she wants, whatever it takes, and I think that’s exactly what has come back to bite her. I don’t think it’s the cheating so much (that happens all the time) but the fact that it’s been flaunted so shamelessly, not to mention her hypocrisy with the way she acted 4 years ago. Yes, whether she’s the mistress or the cheated on, she’s going to play the victim role. I think that’s the only one she’s really good at anyway.
It’s great that she doesn’t care what other people think, but she never pays for the consequences of her actions. It’s always others that suffers because of what she’s done. She’s is a liar, a cheat, and a spoiled little brat, and the fewer movies I see her in, the better!
She is 27 years old, not young and naive, most woman have already a family by then, and it is not the cheating but the flaunting of that relationship in front of the world and his wife, I think if you saw a photo of your wife in the papers having sex with another man you would be p….. off. She is always the victim. And we do not know what exactly happened with Russell Crowe or the movie it is all speculation. Mrs Getty is the only one who acted with grace and poise in this affair.
I don’t care who she is sleeping with, she has no talent! That’s why her career is slipping away. And Anna Wintour’s obsession that this girl has some style is a fantasy! AW is just trying to make a fashion plate out of a her because she’s a Brit. Forget it. On to the next one.

Next time when he want to go back with his wife and kids. what kinds of photo will be open. Iv actually seen Hippy Dippy Shake at a private screening and to tell the truth its not a great film-there are some good moments but its sort of irrelevant and hard to relate to, my brother and I were left thinking ‘huh? what was the point of that?’ it wasnt good but it wasnt really, really terrible it was just a waste of time.
Even though there is some great acting (Cillian Murphy) Sienna Miller is awful and seems to suck the life out of every scene she is in, not to mention that with brown hair she looks ten years older then the rest of the cast. If her part was reduced then maybe it wold be more watch-able.
Miller has always been a no talent so called actress. Karma has caught up to this unprincipled excuse of a woman!

She is pretty but how long will her looks last? Basing on her behavior with getty, she appears cheap,her words abut “sisterhood” are stupid and she can be had by any available willing affluent guy. She fits the narcissist definition to a T. Her career is already 6 feet below the ground so her only chance of survival is hooking up with a wealthy man, married or not, who can sustain her high rolling lifestyle, a feat she is very capable of doing. she tries to appear cute and child-like and claimed “free-spirit/”boho chic” label for herself but it does not suit her at all. Her style is not “boho-chic” and will look horrible on her as she grows older. Grow up, keep your mouth shut and walk away from married men who have young children to support.
