These photos take me way back, which is nice compared to girl drama. Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez wore tacky mullet dresses to the 2011 Teen Choice awards. They laughed and hugged on the red carpet. They were the best of friends. Those days are over, which is sad because Selena helped Demi through her time in rehab. They’ve been friends since their mutual days on “Barney.” Selena once told a story about how she and Demi met at the casting call and were inseparable ever since.
Now the drama hammer has fallen. Demi unfollowed Selena on Twitter yesterday. I’m always amused at the notion of people obsessing over which celebrities follow each other, but there’s a handy tool to look this stuff up. And Demi tweeted and deleted this very special message:
You laughed, right? It’s a really funny image. I think we all know what happened here: Demi is working some tough love magic because Selena is addicted to Justin Bieber. They’re “off” as a couple again, and Justin’s been posting selfies with models as Selena’s been Instagramming emo selfies and photos of her rack. It’s a mess. So much drama. Not that Demi has room to talk because … Wilmer Valderrama.

ONE of her live shows… you do know singers have off nights, right? She usually sounds pretty good. There’s more good than bad.
Yeah I know they have off nights, I just wasn’t that impressed. I do like her music and how she likes her fans though, and I think she can sin, just might not pull off a live show. I think she really does enjoy what she’s doing and loves her fans (I like her don’t care lyric video a lot!)

I really think its more than just Justin dramz. It seems like theres a rumor once a week about Selena doing drugs and partying all hours of the night. I doubt its healthy for Demi to be around that. I know from experience its sad/annoying to watch your friend keep throwing their life away and eventually you have to “swim away” lol. I agree. I think, like Whitney Houston, some want to think that Selena is not responsible for her own choices and actions, that it is her bad boyfriend that is corrupting her. I shake my head at that.

You’ve got to give her props for the meme. That’s first class dissing right there. Although, I side-eye the hell out of Wilmer Valderamma, he isn’t drinking and drugging with her, which Selena is most definitely doing with Bieber these days.
I think a lot of them have very poor impulse control and post this stuff and then realize how it could make them look so they remove them. There’s slightly more plausible deniability in not leaving them up. At least then it can be claimed “I was very upset and overreacted, but I immediately realized what I said was mean so I took it down.”
And some of them do it on purpose because they like the drama (Rhianna does this) and only their most obsessed followers will get to see it and feel like they’re part of the “in” crowd. I have no doubt these young celebs are great at intentionally manipulating their fans through social media.
