There have been lots of rumors floating around that Rosie O’Donnell is to take the place of Bob Barker on the game show the Price is Right. Now, Fox News is reporting that this may not be the case. Why? Because Rosie lives with her fam in New York and the show’s shot in LA.

Could this be the deal breaker? Money, for once, is not the main object. Rosie is quite rich, and she just turned down $10 million dollars from the View. Her family is number one, so they are working on a compromise. One compromise would be that Rosie would fly to LA and film a months worth of shows in 4 days. Rosie is having an official meeting with the producers of the Price is Right this Thursday, so we should have more info then.

While Bob Barker was said to fully support Rosie, TMZ has this quote up from Barker that makes me think that the rumor mill has been turning, whether correctly or not:

“…[I have] not been asked for my opinion, nor have I expressed one. I think there are several candidates who could do the show, and Rosie is certainly one of them.”

I think Rosie would be a good host. I think no one will ever be like Bob, so picking someone like Rosie, who is pretty much Bob’s exact opposite, would be a good choice. Oh, and in case anyone was worrying, if Rosie gets the gig she is said to want to end the show as Bob always did: Remember to get your pets spayed or neutered!!
