Here are some photos of Gwyneth Paltrow and her business partner Tracy Anderson at the annual Hamptons Paddle & Party for Pink fundraiser in Bridgehampton. The event raised money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The dark haired woman in these photos is Maria Baum. The event was co-hosted by Lena Dunham and the guest list included Rachel Zoe and Bethenny Frankel. So, basically, this event was like Judgy Bitches for Breast Cancer Research. Good for them for showing up for a good cause and all that, but between Goop, Tracy, Lena and Bethenny, it does feel like Smug was in the air that night. They did raise $1.6 million in one night, so good for them.
I have to admit, I think Gwyneth looks really beautiful here. I yell about Gwyneth’s style and styling a lot, because I think she’s stuck in the ‘90s (#truth), and while her flat-ironed hair always makes my eye twitch, she looks so much “softer” and younger here. I think it’s the combination of such a pretty, floral dress with her sort of half-undone vibe. It’s like she’s erased five years off her face.
Meanwhile, it’s no secret that Gwyneth is a longtime Democrat and a contributor to Democratic candidates. Gwyneth supported Pres. Obama for two election cycles, and now there’s a rumor that Gwyneth is trying to support Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election cycle… only Hillary doesn’t want Dame Goop’s support. Apparently, Gwyneth held a fundraiser for Obama at her home in 2014, and sources claimed:
“Hillary does not like how Gwyneth tried to turn the last fundraiser at her home into a Paltrow production and [Hillary has] blatantly refused Gwyneth’s offer to assist. Hillary had her people tell Gwyneth ‘thanks, but no thanks.’ Hillary absolutely loathes everything that Gwyneth stands for, and although she is trying to win the vote of the Hollywood community, she has standards on who she allows to be involved in her campaign.”
The source claims that Gwyneth “thinks she is the guru of these things since she hosted the fundraiser for President Obama last year.” Which I absolutely believe. Don’t you? But here’s the kicker: instead of having a fundraiser at Gwyneth’s house, Hillary’s LA fundraiser will be hosted by Scooter Braun, manager to such spoiled brats as Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. I’m just saying… if Hillary is looking to only associate with the best, most respectable people in Hollywood, why diss Gwyneth and go with Scooter Braun?

Btw, I despise the pinkification of breast cancer. Where is all this money going? What progress has there been in 30 years of fundraising? Are they looking for a cure or new expensive treatments? The documentary Pink Ribbons Inc. asks many of these questions and they’re worth asking.

I actually have personal knowledge of BCRF and its efforts. It’s not an “awareness” organization, they fund legit doctors and researchers who have made significant breakthroughs in geonomic testing for cancer as well as targeted treatment options. They actually have an event where they line up all the doctors up so you can physically see who is being funded and what they do. This is only one of the events thrown each year, and the celebrity guest list does exactly what it did here- get attention for this organization’s amazing efforts.

Gwyneth looks beautiful there, the best I’ve seen her in years. On her tall, slender figure, that is a beautiful summer dress on her and the red lipstick works with it and sunny blonde hair, which doesn’t look fried. I absolutely love that floral dress on her and it’s just so pretty and flattering on her.

Who is Hillary Clinton to have standards?
She works in politics (such a wonderful, loyal, compassionate field of work!!!!), as a woman she had to keep her mouth shut and watch and hear all the details of her husband getting a blow job from another woman and as an individual she sold her own ambitions (which evidently were buried somewhere) in order to demonstrate the cliche ‘behind every man there is a strong woman’.
Compared to this woman and compared to politics, Gwyneth and Hollywood are golden. Maybe Obama and the rest of politicians that accepted Gwyneth as a fundraiser were a little bit more realistic about who they are and what they represent. With this attitude, I wish Hillary luck in her fundraising.
