My beloved Jennifer Lawrence celebrated her 25th birthday last week. On Friday, she attended a birthday in her honor, and look ^^^ what happened. She somehow ended up on top of Kris Jenner in bed. Then Kris snapped her fingers, and Corey Gamble appeared with a camera. And the entire moment was captured (and screencapped) across the internets.
Both ladies were holding easy examples of classic literature as a cover, but still. So embarrassing. However, I must concede that JLaw wouldn’t simply let this happen. She’s an Oscar winner, after all. She may very well be guilty of acting like a walrus for the paparazzi, but she knows what she’s doing. Jennifer meant for this photo to happen, so what does it mean? Um, #momager? Now I’m actually worried. JLaw loves her reality television. She told David Letterman how she rambled to an anesthesiologist about the Real Housewives franchise. She loved Honey Boo Boo so much that she got into a fender bender while shouting at the little star. Then she spotted Kim Kardashian in a hotel and lost her mind. Jennifer makes no secret about her trash-tv loyalties. So I’m (sadly) not too surprised at this picture.
Here’s the weird thing. People says JLaw and Chris Martin broke up (again?), so JLaw’s friends brought Kris as a surprise present. Jennifer was reportedly thrilled: “Jen had the best time ever. She was laughing so hard and thought the entire night was hilarious.” Kris reportedly “gave a speech and talked about how happy she was to be there.” Then the two ladies climbed into bed together for the whole of Instagram.

The Sun is reporting that the mystery blond with Chris Martin on Friday is actress Annabelle Wallis and they’re now dating. So him and jlaw are definitely done.
Also interesting is that Annabelle dated model James Rousseau for 4 years and he once dated Kate Bosworth. Chris Martin was also dating/banging Alexa Chung just before the conscious uncoupling with goop and now she’s dating Alexander Skarsgard who also dated Bosworth.
I m convinced Bosworth and Martin are really soulmates and the universe is sending them messages by way of bang partners. Lol….

She seems fun from her social media. He’s a grown and single man and can date anyone he wants. I actually like him and his band and don’t get why he gets so much hate. I found it funny how Bosworth and him may or may not have had an affair during the goop era and now they have so many romantic connections.
I’m with Sam on this one. I don’t understand the Chris Martin hate. Coldplay’s music isn’t for everyone, but he’s talented and seems like a good father. Honestly, I think it’s the Goop taint. People are probably suspicious of anyone who would actually marry and reproduce with GP. That’s the rock n’ roll equivalent of marrying your mom. In his defense, though, she wasn’t Goop’ed out when they first hooked up. She became tremendously embarrassing only after he was legally encumbered, I think.
Meh, I don’t hate him. I initially liked a couple of Coldplay songs, but it’s all the same. I also saw some youtube footage of a live performance, and he was off pitch and howling. All the dogs in the neighborhood simultaneously ripped their ears off.

He’s very charming from seeing some of his interviews. He’s also in a very successful band who have a huge fan base, me included, despite the hate and animosity they get. Not to mention he’s very well liked and connected in Hollywood.

I think that half is that the Kardashians are a hate magnet (thankfully), and half that some people are starting to get tired of Jennifer Lawrence. Maybe it’ s not a full backlash, but I think many are in the phase of attack-her-even-for-the-stupidest-thing. Being friendly with someone who is universally hated is too juicy and inexcusable even by her biggest fans’ s standards, so there’ s no resistance from them.
Woody Allen is still a respected member of Hollywood by many, and still a beloved “artist” by lots of people (as much as the notion disgusts me), so she can get a pass because her opinion is shared, and as for her antics, the ones who love her think it’ s adorable, so if you say you don’ t like the way she behaves, you are obviously a hater, and whatever critic you might have is drowned immediately!
Let’ s be clear, I am not defending JL. I have never liked her, I am still struggling to understand why so many worhip her, and I can’ t wait for her franchise to be over to see her “goddes of acting” and “most awesome human being” pedestals to crumble, but while I understand that giving this famewhorish family even more attention is a disservice to humanity, I think attacking her for this is a little too much! I didn’ t say EVERYBODY hates her. And if you read my comment, I also say that I don’ t think this is a backlash, but only that more people than usual find her annoying now (because she’ s been overexposed for longer and because more people got tired of her antics), and that even her fans don’ t defend her about this because they too hate the Kardashian Klan, which means that lots of people who defend her on normal occasions, either aren’ t commenting, or are posting comments like “Love JLaw, but this is awful!”. Whatever the case, the result is that the negative comments proliferate.
As for the people love her, yes, lots of people love her, and lots of people can’ t stand her. If you want a proof read this thread. There are several specimens of people that would be more than happy to never hear about her. So no, not everybody loves her!
J-Law does divide opinion. However, her levels of popularity are huge, I’d guess well in excess of most others, whereas her detractors are a small and fairly cranky minority. And, frankly, I don’t think this photo isn’t going to change anything in this respect.
I think this is simply what happens when you get famous in your twenties and you get an oscar. A) all the stupid shit that people do at that age is there for everyone to see and B) you stop maturing. It’s like you’re frozen at the age you became famous.
Most people dont know about Woody Allens personal life. If you dont know about the personal life and take the professional life its obvious that there are valid reasons to like/love what Woody Allen does professionally, what do the Kardashians do? Not only dont they have any talents but they are also the symbol for most of the things that are wrong with our society.
I can’t believe I have to say this, but will. Not a fan of all of the work, however, the cinematography on Manhattan was ethereal. You are comparing apples and oranges. Woody Allen produces art, you may not like it, but he actually does SOMETHING aside from his private life fiascos. The Kardashians produce NOTHING, but attention for attention sake,and they aren’t glorious people on a human level either. They may not be the worst of the worst, but the sheer ubiquity of their f-ckery, combined with its non-stop nature, puts them into a category of TRULY horrible, a plague. They have way more impact and influence on the culture, at large.
As much as I despise Woody some of his movies are my favorites of all time. And I hate that but he does make some great movies. I can actually feel like I am there, or the emotions of the characters.

People were commenting that their 15 minutes were up then, that they were “over”, and “couldn’t wait for them to go away”. I dunno, I dislike their whole schtick as much as you do, but I think at this point they are entrenched.

I quit watching Woody Allen movies when I found what a sleaze he was in real life. The movies I recall were all variations of the ‘ middle-aged, neurotic Jewish man infatuated with a young girl’ theme — always starring Woody Allen as the lead, of course — so it was really not a big sacrifice on my part.
Even if I thought he was a cinematic genius, I still wouldn’t spend my money supporting a pedophile.

Agreed. The ‘only’ reason she’s still in the news is because of “The Hunger Games” fan boys and girls. I think this is a very entertaining photo. It’ll mess with lots of people’s heads, just look at the absurd overreaction it has triggered on this board. Also, it features a great choice of books, you can’t ask for much better than Camus and Didion. I can’t stand the Kardashians myself, and Kris in particular, but J-Law is entitled to irony-watch reality TV if she wants. I don’t see people tearing into Eddie Redmayne, for example, for having similar TV tastes in his down-time.
I have to say that I’m also amused by people claiming that J-Law is a ‘mediocre’ actress, and then trashing her taste in TV.
