The San Sebastian Film Festival started in San Sebastian, Spain several days ago. I totally forgot that Tom Hiddleston was scheduled to appear, so these photos of Lord Dragonfly were like a post-Emmy Christmas present. Hiddles is in Spain to promote High Rise which… still doesn’t have an American release date. It will have a premiere/screening in Austin, Texas in a few days, but I guess they’re still searching for a distributor in North America.
Anyway, Tom looks lovely in these photos. I’m guessing this was some sort of photocall/arrival thing. We’ll probably have more photos of him later? Perhaps. For now, just enjoy Tom Hiddleston looking like a movie star. And he really does have that classic Old Hollywood look in these photos. It’s a wonder he hasn’t been cast as Danny Kaye or Errol Flynn in some bloated bio-pic (note to Hollywood: Hiddles would be much better suited to a Danny Kaye bio-pic). Speaking of future projects for Hiddleston, he spoke to Coming Soon about what will happen with Loki (maybe?) in Thor: Ragnarok and whether he’ll go full-on evil:
“You know, I don’t know. I think I won’t be able to help it if I ever play him again, and I just don’t know when that’s gonna happen, if that’s gonna happen. I would never lose his dimension, but it’s so interesting. I’ve talked with Chris Hemsworth, how those characters have changed as we’ve changed. It’s five years ago since I played him for the first time. That’s a long time ago. So who knows what I’ll be cooking up!
I think there are two possibilities here. One, Marvel is honestly not talking to Hiddleston that much and it’s sort of bothering him that they’re keeping him in the dark about what Loki’s future might hold. Two, Marvel has told him absolutely what to expect and Tom is just being a good company man and trying to keep everybody guessing.

And yes, Sienna Miller’s dress was made from a picnic tablecloth.

Lilac, I didn’t see the pics of Sienna’s dress, I only saw the ones at the Burberry event on Sun where she was wearing what looked like a bathroom rug.
Was that the teal rug thing over leggings? She wore a dress with black, red, and white checks to the High-Rise photocall in San Sebastian, that really does look like she cut up a picnic tablecloth. There are also ones of her in leggings and a beige sweater.
Lilacflowers, any id on the coat? It’s swoon worthy! Would love one for the hubs, he has a similar winter weight one by RL but this would be great for fall.
Your Tom looks fab here, wouldn’t mind borrowing him for a day – say Friday?

The whole photocall looked like it was outside the cast hotel, and there were barricades set up outside. So they arrived from the airport to do a photocall and meet fans.

Catherine, I did read it and I think he’s blowing smoke up our asses. If anything was going on between THEO during filming, I have no doubt that Marc would have known about it.
Marc’s statements strike me as another way in which he’s giving them some PR help in shutting down the rumor, along with holding Lizzy’s hand at the HR premier, which was ICK to the Nth degree.
It doesn’t confirm or deny that they were messing around. To me, it only confirms that after 6 months, THEO no longer want people thinking something was going on, now that ISTL has premiered to a lukewarm reception.
Let’s go back to staring at the lovely pictures of the PuddleTom. He is looking particularly fine at San Sebastian, no?

I don’t think Marvel tells people things to prevent them accidentally spilling the beans. I also don’t think they have a finished script for Thor 3, so it is still up in the air and he probably doesn’t know what’s happening next, beyond a vague outline.

Both he and Luke look good in these photo’s. Sienna is wearing her usual ‘look at me, look at me only’ type of attire, sometimes she pulls it off and others no – and she’s not aging very well, some of the close ups (the non photoshopped ones) she looks rough even under all the make up. But the camera does love her.
The photos of Tom in Spain, think it’s the ones of him arriving at the hotel, he has (IMO) the relaxed, slightly smug look of a man who’s just got some lol He has been looking positively yummy lately. Saying that though, not keen on his Thomas Sharpe look, glad that’s over and done with.
Sienna always looks slightly grubby and a bit “skanky” like she could do with a good wash – I really do hope Tom hasn’t been there. If you’re going to wear a low cut top/dress, make sure you have perky boobs as hers look like they’ve slid down her ribcage in a Dali-esque fashion. Not a good look.
