Here are some street-style photos of Jennifer Lawrence yesterday in LA. She went out to lunch with a friend, it seems, and wore short-shorts and a denim jacket reading “PERV.” So real, you guys! I’ll admit, I like J-Law and I think she’s very funny and talented. But why in the world would she buy a jacket with the word “perv” on the back? Is she 13 years old? Does she think that word is super-funny?
Anyway, there’s surprisingly little to discuss when it comes to J-Law these days. While she’s been photographed a lot in the past week, it wasn’t at any Oscar-campaigning event or even a New York Fashion Week event. She was just in NYC, doing some shopping and hanging out with friends. She hasn’t been campaigning at all for her Oscar nomination this year. Which is fine, because Brie Larson is pretty much a shoo-in for the Oscar and why would Jennifer waste her energy when someone else is a sure thing?
Here’s one thing we haven’t discussed yet: J-Law spent Valentine’s Day with Aziz Ansari. They’ve been friends for months, and V-Day wasn’t the first time they hung out. But it did seem like a Valentine’s Day DATE – they went to the Commodore in Brooklyn, just the two of them, and had a big meal of nachos, mac n’ cheese and fried chicken. I feel like people are immediately going to “they’re just friends” when really… it seems like they were on a date. Like, are J-Law and Aziz a couple? That’s the rumor.

Maybe it is an inside joke with friends. It’s the only explanation I can think of.
That’s what I thought too, like a dare or something. Either way, dreadful outfit, but if she’s just hanging out with friends who cares.

I thought she was aiming it at the paparazzi, who apparently make constant comments about the leaked photos – a sort of sartorial two fingered salute – but on reflection I have no grounds for that assumption whatsoever.
Sorry, but that is one really ugly and unflattering outfit. Don’t get the PERV thing either, but it seems like a typical JLaw thing to do.

@Gwen I agree. JLaw body is not amazing. She has an ok body but it’s not amazing. You want amazing look at JLo, Halle Berry, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Ciara, Jessica Simpson, Michele Rodriguez and Scarlet Johanson. Just because someone is not overweight or slim doesn’t mean they have an amazing body. An amazing body has to do with the contour and tone of it.

You know who has great street style her bff Emma Stone, she needs to borrow some fashion tips from her. It surprises me more that Emma isn’t representing a big fashion house while JLaw has a contract with Dior. I mean I get it she’s way more popular than Emma but girl can’t dress herself.
I agree but I also think she should fire her stylist. I know she has a contract with Dior but she certainly doesn’t have to wear their worst to every event!
Her style is not best but I do not think it is terrible either, many my friends dress that way. I do not feel stars need to dress perfectly when they are wearing casual clothes.
I agree. She often dresses abysmally badly. I kind of like her for it, to be honest (I have a similar affection for Jennifer Garner’s choices – “oh honey, no” -) but it never fails to amaze me that a young girl with a great figure and unlimited access to the most beautiful clothes in the world dresses as she does.

Of course she doesn’t HAVE to do anything and can wear whatever she wants, but if that’s all we were allowed to say about somebody’s style than there was no reason to post outfit related posts on celebitchy to begin with.
And it’s not about her not looking like she’s going to a huge event all the time or being completely dressed up every day.
There are plenty of nice and casual things to chose from and imho her outfit just isn’t one of them. Her friend’s outfit is just as casual and laid-back but she still looks good and about a million times better than Jennifer.
I’m pretty sure that I read a profile of Aziz recently and the piece mentions that he lives with his long time girlfriend.
There were reports in January that they broke up, so he’s single.
It’s interesting that she so much as sneezes in the direction of a (white) guy and everybody thinks they’re dating, but she has dinner with Aziz on Valentine’s Day and the only conclusion that anybody draws is that they’re friends. If he had been any other (white) guy, the media would be all over it.
JLaw and AA spent vday together and she’s only wearing baggy jackets…. Ok. Tabloids I’ll do your job for you.

Like, why can’t a person be a salad and Skittles?
I would not be surprised if he and his gf broke up, just based on his book/tv show, that he has trouble knowing if a person is “the one” and then to add JLaw on top of that? oh Aziz.

Idk, I don’t get it. She can look o.k. off duty sometimes, I do think this “look” is some sort of statement. Not a flattering outfit. I don’t expect celebs to be dressed to the nines at all times, but even I have a bit of street style and know what flatteres my body. I wouldn’t be caught dead in those shorts and the jacket is too stupid not to be a joke.

As to the PERV–it seems she has had that old denim jacket for a long time, maybe even high school. My sister was a high school cheerleader, and had PORKETTE on everything, because it was her “cheerleader name.” Thought I’d share some ancient wisdom that sometimes people just want to be their old selves and wear shitty stuff that brings back memories. Who wants to wear carefully curated clothing all the time?
