This is Britney Spears. Seriously. I mean, in some of these shots, she looks Britney-esque, but there’s something else going on, right? Did Britney get nipped and tucked? If she did, I have to say… it’s pretty good work, because I can’t exactly pinpoint what’s different. She’s definitely lost weight, so maybe this is her maturing face, plus Mario Testino’s lighting, plus Photoshop. Britney covers the latest issue of V Magazine to celebrate that 100th edition. Brit-Brit also gave V Magazine a rare interview. In print, her attitude seems so different too.
Life in the public eye: “Whoever is in the spotlight, people are really quick to judge. I mean, there are a lot of kids coming up who’ve experienced that. You know, Justin Bieber, he’s huge, and he experiences that. It’s just the way the world works, unfortunately. I’ve been doing this for 20 years. I kind of don’t pay attention to it. I have my relationship with God and myself and that’s what matters to me. I really don’t care what most people think.”
Her ninth studio album: “Honestly, I’m just particular with this record. It’s my baby, and so I really want it done right. I would much rather have it be completely how I want it to be, whether that takes another year for me to do, or two months. I have no idea at this point. I just know that the direction I’m going in is so good. It’s the best thing I’ve done in a long time. I’m proud of the work, and it’s very different; it’s not what you would think at all.”
For a long time, I thought that Britney – or Team Britney – had some of the best pop-song-writers in the business. I haven’t thought that in years though. Hopefully, Britney is working with the same people that write music for Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, because I would probably enjoy a radio-friendly comeback from Britney in a major way. Also, do you believe this? “I have my relationship with God and myself and that’s what matters to me. I really don’t care what most people think.” I don’t believe she THINKS about what other people think. It’s not that she doesn’t care, she just doesn’t think about it.

In a recent pic with Hillary Clinton it’s even worse. Something somewhere went wrong and now her mouth smiles and the rest of her face isn’t invited.
I had to go on IG to find that one. There it looks as if someone photo shopped a different mouth on her as a joke. The rest of her looked lovely. Hillary even looked nice.

She has been tweaking her face little by little for years.She look’s like she has had filler around her mouth.And some botox too in her forehead(she really should have given up the smokes).I saw her in Vegas when she was on her Circus tour.She was a pretty little thing and she was in really good shape.I can’t say anything bad about Britney.She seems like a kind hearted person but no she does’t look like that cover.

She does have fillers, but she also looks like she had a nose job where they rotate the tip upwards and it creates an unusually long philtrum. Kim kardashian did the same thing–if you grab the tip of your nose and twist it upwards gently, you can feel your upper lip area start to lengthen.
They also have started using cheek fillers to combat laugh lines. They build up the cheek area, which pulls the skin tighter near the mouth. (according to my co-worker, anyway!)
I think there’s been another nose job. Its kind of got that pointy look at the tip that a lot of celebs get…like Jessica Biel.

I have been saying for a while that she has a doppelgänger who does part of her work. when she was in Europe last year she looked totally different as well and when she was back in the States she looked like her old self again.

Also, so many people that have met her at a meet-and-greet after her show in Vegas have said that she looked really uncomfortable and almost scared, like she really didn’t want to be there. That happens. I have a friend who studies drama and she has no trouble doing plays, she just gets in character and does her thing. But when she has to be herself and interact with other people, she is rather shy. You can have confidence in your performing skills, while being very insecure about your social skills.
After all she went through the mid ’00s, it wouldn’t surprise me to see her getting uncomfortable around strangers. The way the media treated her – I’d never want that for myself. Not even if you gave me all of her fortune.

She’s looking great – def has had her lips pumped, you can see it in the instagram photo. She has not only lost a lot of weight but she’s lost the puffiness from her face (meds can cause this) – body and fitness wise she looks back to where she was pre meltdown. Personally i think the Vegas residency has been good for her – she seems almost her old self.

She looks like she’s lost a good deal of weight. Her face has been quite puffy for many years, perhaps due to medication- IMO, she looks like a thinner, older version of herself. So maybe she’s just had a change in meds or something.

I only learned recently that this is a “thing”.
The biggest difference is in the lower half of her face – the teeth and the lips. The teeth have been recapped so that they seem to be crowding out of her mouth (Miley Cyrus has the same thing- it is meant to look like the mouth is just a bit too small to contain the teeth). Also, the upper lip is injected so that it curls up a bit.
IMO when the teeth crowds the mouth, it seems to give a more youthful look. I don’t know why that is, but maybe it is the opposite of when an older person loses their teeth and then the mouth cavity sinks in – that is an “old person” look.
Also, has anyone heard of “buccal fat removal”? It’s removing the fat of the cheek and chin to give a more sculpted look. I think this is an example.
My guess is nose job, cheek implants, veneers, lip fillers, possible botox and some obvious weight loss.

Looks about 16 in the first one. Her face has been majorly slimmed. The 2nd and 3rd one are her – only airbrushed to plastic-perfection. And over-signified eyebrows.

Britney had a nose job around 2013. Look back at her X Factor pictures from the year before. Vastly different. The tip of her nose is very pointy and straight now. Her was nose already straight but there used to be a slightly fuller, rounder tip. Now her nose is more defined.
She gets lip injections, probably Restylane, and Botox. That explains why her smile is off. It looks like she’s lost weight but she looks healthy. Her skin looks great and thankfully her eyes are more expressive. She looks like Britney but an updated version of Britney.

Nose job, fillers on her cheeks and for sure some bad fillers on her lips. She looks pretty but completely different from herself so I don’t think this is good plastic surgery work. If there was not name on the cover, I wouldn’t know it was Britney. Even recently she looked like Heidi Klum. So bizarre work on her face. She went too far and I do see some joker like smile as well going on there.

Looks like she’s had philtrum surgery done, like Kim Kardashian. A procedure to lengthen the space between your upper lip and the base of your nose. It affects your ability to smile, too. And yes, also buccal fat removal.
I think you’re right; that “gritting teeth” smile always gives that one away. She’s also had more nose job (too far), which only partially accounts for her much more elongated face. I’m pretty sure those are small cheek implants, and I’d bet money on some chin sculpting as well.

Yeah, I also see a brow or eyelid lift. I was comparing photos online very recently (don’t you judge me!), and she doesn’t have the same “sleepy” eyes she used to, y’know, with the downturned outer corners. Downthread, readers have remarked she seems more “expressive.” I get that, but I still think the effect has to do more with some surgical tweaks in the eye area, as opposed to “makeup” or “vitality”

Also britney is not knows for her eyebrow game, in fact she usually has barely there blonde fluff, so the heavy brows make her look very different here. I like her with a strong brow, it it looks good.

I can’t do anything but give her credit for hanging in there after everything she has endured in her life. I just hope she is healthy mentally. She has had some work but I understand her for doing it. It’s those overworked faces that I can’t stand so now I hope she leaves herself alone for a decade at least.

I will give Britney a pass. This child was so hounded by the paps and mismanaged and guided in every direction but the right one that she lost her mind. She had her face thinned and skin tucked. Sometimes that leaves you looking like a wide-mouthed frog, so often they will add lip injections to balance out the wider mouth. Sometimes I think celebrities waste money on cosmetic surgery when what they really need is therapy. Spears is one of them.

I have friends who are twins and one has bipolar. Despite them being identical, one looks ‘troubled’ in the eyes while the other has a relaxed, at ease look.

It’s just Photoshop. She’s posted pictures on Insta this week with her usual bad skin, 5 day old crusted on make-up and hair that looks like she ran a tub of fried chicken through it.
She’s had Botox, but her weird facial expressions are because she’s barely functional. I don’t think people quite get how severe her mental health issues are? That Joker smile is something she’s always done when she’s not quite sure what’s going on but knows she’s supposed to smile. You can see it in interviews even when she was a teenager.
