It feels like a lifetime ago that Tom Hiddleston was being fully absorbed into Taylor Swift’s squad during her annual Fourth of July celebrations. She got the Taymerica slide, a professional photographer and lots of press. Of course, shortly after that, Taylor became the Snake Emoji and the rest is history. But my point is that Tom is tight with the squad. Right?! According to Star Magazine, maybe not so much. Since I don’t have the time, patience or desire to go through all of Tom Hiddleston’s followers, I’m taking Star Mag’s word for it. They claim that several members of Taylor’s squad have “unfollowed” Tom’s Twitter. This is almost as good as when Taylor and Tom’s publicists allegedly unfollowed each other!!!
Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston have only spent a few days apart since they were spotted kissing near her Rhode Island home in June – and while the singer might not be sick of the sight of him, her squad could sure use a break.
According to reports, Karlie Kloss, Blake Lively, Gigi Hadid and Ruby Rose have all unfollowed Tom on Twitter! Taylor’s brother Austin was the first to jump ship, on June 17th. As for why the blondetourage has closed its ranks? Taylor’s friends reportedly suspect Hiddleston is using their highly publicized relationship to get back at his ex Elizabeth Olsen.
“Tom’s charming and he knows exactly how to work Taylor,” a source tells Star. “They could very well be on to something.”

The minute someone mentions Elizabeth Olsen, I become skeptical. Don’t get me wrong, I think Tom and Elizabeth were on the downlow for months and months. I also think she was the one who didn’t want to make it into a public thing. But I also think that Hiddles hasn’t been holding a candle for Olsen, nor is he trying to make her jealous. If the squad has unfollowed Tom, then there has to be another reason… hm, what could it be?

I can’t get over how big Blake’s feet are! I was honestly confused for a moment as to whose legs were whose.

You know, tall women have large feet. Can’t be helped. Larger feet tend to be in proportion with the extra height, or people would fall over. Think about it.
Maybe I sound defensive – and I apologize if I do – but I speak as a 6′ tall woman with large feet. Shoe shopping SUCKS and I get rude comments all the time from sales clerks when they realize they don’t stock my shoe size and won’t be able to make a sale from me. We live in an era where we all know better than to call someone fat – why is snarking on someone’s large feet any better?

Even the story itself doesn’t make sense. Her brother unfollowed him on June 17? But that is weeks before even the July 4 party where everyone was present and having fun. So it’s a completely nonsensical story.
My unrequested reading of this situation; I really think Tom and Taylor are trying to gently back away from this mess. We are in the beginning phase of the break up role out. When the announcement finally comes a month or two from now, they’ll say something like “we care deeply for one another but work commitments and distance yada yada”. They’ll plant stories about how all the intense scrutiny killed their great love before it could really find itself. Taylor will write a song declaring him “the one that got away”. There will be no dramatic jerky moves like social media unfollows because that’s already been taken care of. They’ll just be seen less frequently together until they finally announce it in a few months. But I bet they still spend Thanksgiving very publicly together to give the impression of abiding affection.
I agree for the most part. I don’t think they expected the backlash, and while I think they’re kinda perfect for each other, I think Taylor doesn’t want to be seen like a joke anymore. If this was like a year ago, I think she would have been fine with the commentary.
You know she’ll play the victim too, and say the insane press was the reason for the breakup, even though she always calls them. Sixer – on a slight tangent, there’s an account run by a Cyber-Nat on Twitter. He is vicious (on record at laughing as victims of 9/11 fell from the Twin Towers and much else reprehensible). Anyway, during the Scottish Referendum he got a lot of traction with Nationalists – including some MPs/MSPs/Senior SNP figures.
A few months ago he created a downloadable Block List – Twitter- (of pro-UK/Better Together accounts/campaigners). Kind of a proscriptive “silence them” mass list. Some SNP MPs/MSPs use it as well as other senior SNP. Just download and all opposing voices are blocked.
It’s quite a thing in SNP Scotland to block dissenting voices; this guy (who lives in Bath btw) made it all the easier for them. A perilous state for democracy.

I’ve been watching all that and I follow the big YES and NO blogs.
Political Twitter is both brilliant and terrifying. But it really shouldn’t be descending into this kind of echo chamber viciousness and en masse pile-ons and blocking. It’s deeply unpleasant. Besides, the entire point of politics is reaching out to persuade people who disagree with you. Not performing a daily two minutes hate against them!
In a similar vein, I am currently trying to explain to many people on there that party bureaucracy does not equal democracy in toto and that MPs are not merely party delegates: they must balance competing mandates of manifesto, electorate AND selectorate. You can imagine the stick I’m getting – even though, if I were a Lab member, I’d probably be to the left of Corbyn. We have a back-and-forth and then they all shout BLOCKED! and tell everyone they know all about their blocking heroism. I’m ploughing on regardless!
I don’t have to just “imagine”, I know what you’re up against – tis usually my daily too (plus Scottish dimension).
I’ve been on a Twitter mental health break these last few days, hence my haunting here far more. I’m currently not working because of a flare up of a chronic medical thingy, and have new meds for my body to become accustomed to; so, following a couple of fairly nasty interactions (from both Nats and within my own Party), I opted for a bit of quiet. I’ll be back in harness soon though.

I ended up on all blocked Brexiteer lists post-referendum, I even got blocked by accounts I hadn’t interacted with either, so I wonder if anyone was using such software to discover who was giving opinions pro or against Brexit. I got so unnerved that I decided to put in my profile that I’m proud to be a EU citizen so they block me before interacting with me at all LOL
And funny thing…. I left Scotland before IndyRef and got blocked by lots of SNP accounts, that magically started following me after Brexit. I’ve also been called a Blairite because I don’t like Corbyn without tweeters realizing I don’t vote hahaha Awwww life is amazing 😀

Silver – in the last year, I seem to get blocked at least once a day. I mean: I am a gobshite but honestly, there’s no malice in me. It’s nonsense and I agree with Dippit – an unhealthy development. You can’t just put your fingers in your ears if someone disagrees with you. What are we going to do? Live in hermetically sealed online enclaves, where only people you agree with can speak to you? On the upside, though, I do have a small nice coterie of people with whom I fundamentally disagree but can have meaningful discussion. If only it were all like that.
SilverUnicorn – I took particular delight in the SNP being ‘rock and hard place’ over EURef. Despite all the BS they spout to keep the loyal Cyber-Nats onside about it being a trigger for IndyRef2, the reality is a Brexit vote was the worst case scenario for maintaining their case for Independence. And the senior SNP know it.
IndyRef took months of my life, and years off it. I’d come home after doing a stall or a night doorknocking, abuse and threats (some mild physical attacks – spitting and fruit throwing) ringing in my ears and just cry at what we had become. And now I’m *apparently* a “RedTory” too. You were as well to be out of it.
My Twitter profile makes clear it’s a, largely, political account – Scottish (in home nation), British within the UK, and an advocate for having Remained in the EU. And still Labour. That means nobody can be under any misapprehension should they happen upon my feed.
I despise this dark turn we’ve taken since reasoned debate and expert opinion are to be eschewed/censored in favour of ad hominem attacks and Blocking. We’re to celebrate Bannockburn but forget one of Scotland’s greatest gifts to the world – its significant role in The Enlightenment. Jeez.

If I still were in Scotland, well I’m married to a Scot who was against independence so we would have been on your side of the problem…. Now ‘that’ Scot is married to me, EU citizen, in a English county where 70% of the local electorate would probably fly me back to mainland Europe tomorrow, if they could… I got the usual ‘go home’, ‘why are you still here’, etc etc. I do not speak my original language outside, nor I got my two feet out of the front door unaccompanied for two weeks after the referendum.

Those gardening photos make me think of the fake farm Marie Antoinette had at Versailles. Apparently they would leave pre-washed vegetables for her to “pick” from the garden and pre-washed eggs for her to gather from clean hay in the coops. Taylor’s farm girl persona has always been a lie. The “christmas tree farm” she grew up on is actually a multimillion dollar property her father received as a gift from a wealthy client. I wonder if this girl has ever had an authentic moment in her life?

I can see him going the distance. Lynnie … completely agree! It always seemed to me Tiddles seemed rushed and a false start in the relationship media. She hadn’t had enough time – well as reported – from her break with Calvin. If they rushed Tiddles to the world in hope of blocking Calvin from spilling any insider info on all things Swifty business model, they failed miserably. If that is the case, I think they are at a loss of how to fix things.. they are out of their depth in reading things and the tide has turned and nothing seems to be adjusting. This whole kale/farming thing is just going to be another new joke.. Just like when Gwen rolled out Blake, I feel the same as I did then…when will it be over? They nauseate me just as much as Bwake does. Both Gwen and Taylor are two of the most painfully insecure celebrities I have seen since my childhood. Nothing to admire or look up to, just pretty depressing.

There are several sites that track ALL planes, commercial (which are public), and also private planes, except if their tracking is private. They’re aimed at plane geeks.
Apparently TH said he has to leave for Oz on Sunday. So whatever fresh hell is coming will be mercifully brief.

If so, it means he is separate and different from his co-workers which will only result in more teasing. He is not sure he can go to LA for Emmy night.

it frightens me that I know this but she is doing a concert at some car race in October, according to some car racing people in my family. So if she goes, it won’t be for the duration.

Plane left Burbank so I’m guessing no to Adele concert, and I can’t imagine flying from Nashville or NYC to Oz.
