I don’t mind a well-done floral, but is Emma Stone’s Gucci look too busy? Or is it fine? I can’t decide. [Go Fug Yourself]

I love it. She has such great style.
Agree.
+1
I just completely went off her after she decided to become Wody Allen’s muse.
Too busy and her hair and make up don’t seem right
Hack off the sleeves!
And get rid of the pleats!
Girl got her lips done. Sad
I really hope it’s just a bad combination of make up and pouting. She’s so pretty.
Two days in a row her lips look weird to me. I’m holding out that it’s just pouting. 🙁
I thought the same idea recently and these pics confirm
OMG, I think you are right and now I cannot unsee it.. Why??
Came here to comment on the lips. At first I did not recognize her.
A little too busy for me. I love the colors and even the length but the front looks sloppy.
I like it. I love florals, anyway, but they’re best when they’re bold. It looks sort of vaguely 70sish, but the dark background updates it. I might have deleted the solid peachy trim, but it’s cool.
I’d have liked this better as a mini I think.
the styling, particularly hair and makeup, are just a little … off? It could have been perfect.
There is a way to match up the dress design so that dress “flows” instead of looking choppy like this does. I see this choppiness a lot in what I assume are expensive dresses. And it annoys the hell out of me because it doesn’t have to look this way.
My mother had five daughters and sewed all our clothes when we were kids. There is no way she would have ever matched up the design on the dress to look like this. Whatever she did, I do know it took more material and it was painstaking. But the clothes she made were beautiful. Like I said, they flowed. I often see crooked seams on dresses celebrities are wearing, or puckered seams. The number of times I saw my mother rip out a seam because it was puckered or slightly crooked…. So it amazes me that women walk the red carpet with crooked or puckered seams and pattern designs that do not flow correctly. I now understand what a perfectionist seamstress my mother was and just how lucky I was to wear the clothes she made.
@Annie – my mother sewed all my clothes (other than ones my grandmother made) until I was 5 years old so I get you – she could only make frocks, but she would never have let me go out with a crooked seam or imperfectly assembled clothing. We’re lucky to have benefited from their talent, even if it looks like some professional designers today could have used your mother’s tutoring.
You do have a point! The print could absolutely have been made to match
I like the print but not the dress.
Too busy. She’s beautiful, though.
I rather like the dress but I do not like whatever’s going on with her lips – surely she hasn’t succumbed to the insta madness and got lip injections?! Her face was perfect before.
I don’t mind the pattern and don’t find it too busy but it’s too long! That pattern on that style of dress looks so dowdy. Shorten the sleeves and the hem.
Are celebs getting dressed in the dark in Madea’s closet? She’s not even trying.
Ugly dress.
I like it and even more so if it’s velvet
Oh no! She’s done the lips!!!!! She had such a beautiful and unique look, why on earth would she do that? Hopefully in a few months they’ll go back down
