Gaga is a lady in love – and she’s not afraid to admit it. The 31-year-old singer, still touring the country for her Joanne album, used the “L word” when describing her boyfriend, CAA agent Christian Carino. During her show at New York’s Citi Field last Tuesday, Gaga braved the elements, including a downpour, to entertain her Little Monsters. All the while, Christian was there for her. Gaga told Page Six, “When I went backstage, Christian was by the stairs making sure I was okay. The best part about being in love with someone is having them there to catch you if you fall.”
Hopefully, Christian can also be there for his girl when she’s under the weather. Gaga told her Big Apple fans that she didn’t mind performing in the rain, telling them during the show, “I’m from New York, where we learn to dance on the wet concrete.” She added that “I have always prayed for rain so I could have my Diana Ross moment like she had in Central Park.” (Which is the first thing I thought of when I saw the headlines. Miss Ross’ performance has always stuck with me.)
Unfortunately, the inclement weather took its toll on her health, forcing her to cancel her show on Monday night in Montréal. In a message posted on Twitter, Gaga apologized, saying, “To my beautiful fans. I couldn’t be more devastated that I am unable to perform tonight. I sing this entire show live, and pride myself in giving it all, but when I sang in the rain at Citi Field I got sick and have been pushing through. I am so sorry to anyone who had their heart set on seeing me tonight. I love you. Xoxo, Joanne.”
I'm so sorry Montréal. We are working on postponing the show. Please read this message from my ❤️ below. pic.twitter.com/ktglIGpykL

The singer did provide a treat for her faithful Canadian fans in the form of free pizza. She later tweeted, “I’m sending free [pizza emoji] to any monsters outside my hotel The William Gray Montréal [crying emoji]. I love u so much & I’m so sorry u are the most loyal fans.” You see, pizza can make everything better.
I'm sending free 🍕 to any monsters outside my hotel The William Gray Montréal 😭. I love u so much & I'm so sorry u are the most loyal fans.

Billboard posted a joint statement from Live Nation and Evenko which read, in part, “Unfortunately tonight’s Lady Gaga Joanne World Tour Concert has been postponed. Hoping not to disappoint her fans, Lady Gaga took today to rest but unfortunately, has now been instructed by her doctor that she will need to reschedule this evening’s show due to respiratory infection and laryngitis.” The date will be rescheduled and Gaga is hoping to recuperate in time for the premiere screening of her new documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two, at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday. The doc debuts on Netflix on September 22 and I can’t wait.
And now, back to the budding romance. Gaga and Christian, who reps such A-listers as Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez and Miley Cyrus, have been an item since early this year. The relationship is Gaga’s first since breaking off her engagement with Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney in July of last year. Taylor was spotted in the audience of her show in Chicago last week and reportedly went backstage after the show, so it appears they’re still friends. Christian accompanied Gaga to a birthday party for her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, at Bowlmor Lanes in Times Square on Wednesday night. Sources told Page Six that the couple are “totally inseparable.”
Is the 8-month mark too early to let the “L word” slip? I don’t think so. If it’s the right person, that word can escape your lips sooner and I sure don’t mind (definitely speaking from personal experience here). They seem like a good couple, Christian is used to dealing with huge stars, so maybe this is the match that Gaga’s been looking for.

Is it just me or do actresses really seem to do well with agents? Maybe being with another actor is too much but at least people in that world understand one another.
Glad she’s happy. And she sounds like a normal person in love, kinda like when she was first with Taylor.
Towards the end the depth of the pretentious Bulls–t had no end.
I like at around 3 months. If I had to wait 8 I’d probably be gone.
Three months? That’s hardly even time to call it a relationship though?
I tend to move fast, I guess. In my experience, men are telling you they love you well before that though.
I am glad she is happy. I really love Gaga and I prefer her over Katy Perry but she doesn’t excite me anymore. It feels like a chore reading this post. I mean she could still fill up a stadium and I will be there if she tours my area but I also feel that at this point she is more of a heritage artist than a current popstar. It doesn’t help that she often collaborates with another classic, heritage act Tony Bennet. It is too early in her career to be one.
“Is the 8-month mark too early to let the “L word” slip?”
Well, I let it slip after two weeks, and that was 8 years ago (we’re still together). Looks like it totally depends on the people involved…?
My husband dropped the L word after our first kiss on our first date – we had worked together on some projects in the two years prior to that night so knew each other reasonably well.
We were engaged three weeks later, married nine months on, and celebrated our Silver Wedding Anniversary earlier this year.
How you feel is how you feel and I don’t think there are ever time frames to which you must conform.
I’m still holding hope she gets back with Taylor. #DiamondHeartForever
I guess the age difference, but the new BF creeps me out. Plus I liked her with Taylor…I was always rooting for them. I suppose the new guy is more suited to her lifestyle though. He’s used to it being all about her and her career…
