What’s Donald Trump raging about today? Russian witch hunts & ‘unending Stamina’

White House Easter Egg Roll 2018

I’m in political semi-hibernation mode, but I just wanted to drop some info, in case anyone was interested. It seems that Robert Mueller has a list of questions that he’d like to ask Donald Trump. Trump’s legal team – which now includes Rudy Giuliani – has been playing fast and loose with the idea of Trump sitting down for any kind of interview with Mueller and Mueller’s team. If the FBI conducts the interview, the concern is that it’s against the law to lie to the FBI. And Donald Bigly lies a lot. Nailing Bigly on a charge of “lying to the FBI” seems like fait accompli if Bigly ever sat down with Mueller’s team. So here are the questions Mueller will ask Bigly if he’s ever given the chance:

There’s a lot to parse there and it’s clear that Mueller has set up about a million different traps involving Bigly’s recollections of conversations, the timeline and which children he would choose to throw under the bus to save himself. But Bigly looked at the list and he didn’t care. He tweeted this:

“No questions on Collusion.” Except there are several questions about collusion, but I get it: he’s illiterate. And there’s this too:

I like how we’re pretending that this is normal, you guys. I like how most of the country just shrugs when Trump goes on a tear about “witch hunts” during his morning dumps. But my favorite might be this one, from last night:

“Unending Stamina” is the new Dragon Energy.

A few more things: WH chief of staff John Kelly apparently called Trump “an idiot” multiple times in private, but he denies that now. Sources also say that Kelly is merely staying on because he believes he’s saving America from disaster if Trump becomes completely untethered. And Stormy Daniels is suing Donald Trump for defamation because he called her claims a “con job.”

  1. Really says:

Omg, that pic of him is just gross.

    • Kitten says:

      Baby fist.

    • Lela says:

Right after he won I though that maybe his campaign shtick was all a ploy just to get into the white house and maybe, just maybe, he would do *something* as president, but honestly other then the crazy rants and unhinged interviews I really can’t say out loud one good thing he’s really done for the USA. I mean I can name at least 2-3 things that each past president did that benefited the USA but with Trump I seriously come up with absolutely nothing, he’s actually not pushed 1 single good thing through during his presidency.

      • Betsy says:

Unifying the majority of Americans against him? That’s a good thing.

      • Shannon says:

I honestly thought that too. I kind of thought he was trolling for Hillary thinking, ‘I’ll get enough support to get me the nomination, but not enough to actually win. Now I’m like, No, he’s actually fkn crazy.

      • Christin says:

He didn’t want the job, but loves the attention. By this time, past leaders have been rapidly aging due to the stressors. He’s basically tweeting away his term.

      • Larne says:

I still think that win was fishy and will all come out in the wash when this investigation is done.

      • JENNIFER says:

@Shannon throwing the election for Hillary would probably be the ONLY thing that would turn his base against him.

    • chris says:

he only needs a tiny bit of rope to hang himself. Let the stable genius speak, please!

    • nicole says:

His hands really are very small!

  2. HollyGo says:

It’s like my face has developed new facial expressions in the last year or so to continue to respond to the words in Bigly’s tweets. The normal ones of disgust and repulsion just weren’t cutting it anymore.

    • Esmom says:

Ha, I hear you. Normal coping mechanisms aren’t enough. Apparently evolutionary adaptation is the only way to handle this frightening sh%tshow of a presidency.

    • Mabs A'Mabbin says:

I just posted on the Wolf thread about how my face has changed since 2016. Resting bitch face with bouts of sick incredulity. I probably look constantly constipated.

      • Ankhel says:

My response has evolved from many disgusted grimaces at all the lunacy, to a thousand yard stare. Why, you ask? Part fatigue, part wrinkle prevention.

  3. lightpurple says:

Mueller knows the answers to all those questions.

    • Esmom says:

I just read that these questions came from Trump’s team, not Mueller’s. But either way I’d guess Mueller does indeed know the answers.

      • Swack says:

Read that also. Mueller has held everything so close to the vest that I doubt his team is leaking anything.

      • whatWHAT? says:

but it could be a deliberate leak from Mueller. These questions are interesting (esp the one about Manafort and reaching out for Russian assistance) and are going to make people talk/wonder more about Drumpf’s involvement. and also question why he won’t answer them if he has nothing to hide.

I can’t see how leaking these questions benefits 45 at all.

ETA: if I remember the timeline right, these questions were provided to Team 45, his lawyer at that point said “yeah no there’s no way he’s testifying under oath” and 45 was like “yeah I could do it” and that’s when Dowd quit as his lawyer. so, knowing that 45’s lawyer balked when he saw what Mueller wanted to ask, it’s less likely that 45’s team leaked them. unless they’re that dumb. which….

      • Lightpurple says:

I believe they came from Giuliani

      • HollyGo says:

And yet Trump is disparaging them. Lol- that’s typical.

      • Indiana Joanna says:

Experts were saying that the leaks, with misspellings, came from 45’s team. So disturbing.

Also Putin is gunning for drump too by allowing Veselnitskaya admission that she is directly connected to Putin. So drump is feeling the heat from many factions. He knows he is severely compromised.

All his self pity and accusations against everyone are escalating.

      • Embee says:

Exactly. Which is what Michelle Wolf was talking about. By breathlessly publicizing these notes the media is playing into Drumpf’s/Giuliani’s hand. Making the investigation look sloppy when it’s tight, etc.

I’d like to think if I was a journalist I wouldn’t publish attorney work product related to a Presidential investigation out of a sense of justice and patriotism but who knows? It doesn’t seem as though anyone cares about those things.

      • Lady D says:

As a journalist Embee, you would cover the stories your editor assigned to you. Journalists have very little say in what gets published, and if the editor doesn’t like your slant on the story, they can rework the story you wrote. This has been my experience working as a writer/reporter with an editor for a newspaper and a tourism magazine. You could contract write or freelance which gives you more leeway in your article.

      • Nic919 says:

No prosecutor worth any salt gives a heads up to the person of interest so that they can prepare lies. Mueller would never leak this. It’s Giuliani.

    • PunkyMomma says:

      Yes he does.

A bit OT: I wonder if these questions, along with Kelly’s “idiot” remark were leaked by Conway/Huckabee to Rhule et al at the NBC/MSNBC after party. It would explain all the indignant outrage about the WHCD.

      • Rogue Economist says:

Their furious defense of SHS – and no one else in the admin – with distorted claims of what was said at all (e.g. “appearance” when it was about her lying) all but outed her as the biggest leaker in the Administration.

They were tripping over themselves to be noticed as a Defender.

      • Kitten says:

Haberman denied her source is SHS (which means nothing but just FTR) and tweeted something about people always thinking they can “crack the code” in terms of uncovering leakers.

    • whatWHAT? says:

      just what I was saying.

he know the answers, which means Drumpf either is questioned under oath and he lies and Mueller will know he’s lying or Drumpf pleads the fifth and shows EVERYONE that he’s A) scared and B) guilty.

I think they were leaked to put pressure on 45 and/or because Mueller et al already knows Drumpf will refuse to talk …if the public knows what the questions are and knows that 45 is refusing to answer them, it makes him look (more definitively) guilty.

the very interesting thing is the question regarding Manafort’s possible attempts at Russian assistance. there has been no public mention/discussion/evidence that supports this, so this makes it sound like Mueller’s got someone singing like a canary.

      • Swack says:

It plays into Trump’s hand. He constantly rages about the leaks, even if they come from his people. It gives him one more way to show his following how he is being attacked. So, yes, I believe it could have been his side more than Mueller’s side doing the leaking.

      • whatWHAT? says:

        that’s a fair point.

      • Digital Unicorn says:

There is no way Mueller and his team would leak this, he is running a very tight ship. This is a Spanky leak (deliberate and stays), it feeds into his need to claim witch hunting and fake news. He’ll try and use this to sack Mueller.

      • Lilly says:

Agreed, except for “everyone” – there’s still his loyal contingent who will believe whatever excuse he makes up for pleading the fifth.

Also, he and his staff don’t know from stamina. Hillary knows stamina.

      • Imqrious2 says:

Ha! Digital Unicorn, that’s what my friend calls him when we’re talking/messaging about this mess (which is daily). GMTA as they say 😊

    • Hazel says:

I’m sure he does. I’m interested in the answers to all the ‘what was the purpose of the tweet’ questions.

  4. Beth says:

Why does he always capitalize words that shouldn’t be? Country, stamina, witch hunt, energy and fake news are all words that an intelligent person would know shouldn’t be capitalized unless they are the first word in a sentence. Has he ever sent a tweet without an exclamation point? He drives me “bonkers”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • lightpurple says:

Nouns in German are capitalized but he doesn’t really have that excuse.

      • Chrissy says:

Exactly. He’s not even literate in English. Why would he even know about another language except, of course, Mafia-ese?

      • Imqrious2 says:

Chrissy, I’m sure he knows some Russian ones, too 😂

    • Larelyn says:

Because the capitalization is his tweet way to make his silly hand flourishes from when he talks.

      • Swack says:

OT a bit, but I noticed every talk he gives, the one gesture he makes looks like the white power sign. I never really noticed until the Kanye picture with the one guy doing the sign.

  5. Veronica S. says:

I’m amazed at how many people in the Twitter thread don’t understand the intention behind making the questions purposefully vague. The less specificity they have, the more easily they can cover up what Mueller knows and the easier it is for Trump to walk into a verbal trap.

    • lightpurple says:

And, depending on the answer, there would be more specific follow-up questions. Mueller knows the answers to all these questions. And my bet is Giuilani leaked the list.

      • whatWHAT? says:

lp, you seem to be very knowledgeable about law “stuff”.

what benefit does 45’s side get out of leaking the list? I can’t figure out how this would be a good thing for them. IMO, all it does is put pressure on 45 to either answer (and lie) or not answer and look guilty.

      • Louisa says:

I agree that it was Giuliani that leaked and def not Mueller’s team. But as others have asked, do you know for what purpose? How does this help Trump?

      • Lightpurple says:

@WhatWhat, the benefit is what we’re seeing now. Trump and his crew get to spin this all for the public, argue the questions have been answered, that there aren’t any questions about collusion, why aren’t they investigating Hillary, it’s all a giant witch hunt. They’re hoping to get Mueller to back off, he won’t, or the public will turn against the investigation if they spread enough lies.

      • whatWHAT? says:

but there IS a question about collusion?…the one about Manafort’s outreach, which is posed as if the “outreach” in question ISN’T in question. it’s worded as if said outreach has been confirmed by someone’s who’s cooperating. that doesn’t look good for him.

I understand your theory, but I’m not sure I agree that this helps 45 at all.

  6. Eric says:

LP said it and it’s true: Mueller knows all.

The Perjury Trap may be forced to sit down and answer these questions…in front of a grand jury!

Emperor Zero better learn how to do some maths, because Mueller’s 49 questions will be growing exponentially by the time he’s through with the Dotard.

And, btw, thanks Rudy “Molting Nosferatu” Ghouliani for leaking the questions! Maybe Nunes can “investigate” the leaked questions on behalf of EZ!

    • Digital Unicorn says:

I wonder if they will use this ‘leak’ to fire Mueller, i was reading that they are trying to impeach Rosenstein – they are getting very desperate to make this investigation go away and not just to please Emperor Zero of Bonespurs. The entire GOP leadership are running scared, if IQ45 goes down he’s taking them all with him.

      • whatWHAT? says:

“they are getting very desperate to make this investigation go away”

which further supports the theory that the ENTIRE GOP faction in congress (or most of them) are compromised.

    • Indiana Joanna says:

Exactly, Eric. Giuliani met with a Mueller team member last week and then leaked the contents of the meeting.

  7. I'm confused says:

Why don’t you write anything about Trump’s achievement on the Korean peninsula? Even SK President said Trump deserves a Nobel Prize.

    • Eric says:

      Dear I’m Confused:

I can see why you’re confused.

      Sincerely,

      A sentient being

    • Chrissy says:

Just because he can shoot off his mouth and is an expert name-caller, not to mention is willing to risk a nuclear war with his tweets, doesn’t qualify him for anything. Especially not a Nobel Prize.

    • Elkie says:

Because NK were testing weapons long after Two Scoops stopped tweeting and forgot they even existed and only stopped when their testing facility blew apart. Kim Jong-Un needs time to rebuild and he’s not an utter fool.

SK are just blowing smoke up Trump’s corpulent backside because they need to flatter him for long enough not to torpedo any positive deal like the most advanced case of fecal encephalopathy never to win a Darwin Award that he is.

      • Kitten says:

@ Elkie Precisely. Trump has shown every world leader that he is putty in their hands as long as they kiss his ass. Macron, Jung Un, Moon, May, Merkel…they’ve all figured out how easy it is to manipulate 45.

And yes, NK’s testing site collapsed so as of this very moment, KJU can’t do sh*t in terms of testing his nukes. Crediting Trump is the perfect cover to save face and also create the illusion of an agreed-upon armistice between the two countries. It’s the ideal shiny object to distract Trump–it makes him look like he achieved something meaningful and appeals to his narcissistic nature. It gives him something to brag about and lulls him into a false sense of security. The guy is getting played like a f*cking fiddle.

      • Lightpurple says:

He needs time to rebuild and money to rebuild. Nuclear weapon test sites aren’t cheap. By playing nice, he gets money flowing again so he can afford to rebuild. That is if his ascending sister doesn’t have him assassinated, at which point, she will rebuild the test sites.

      • Louisa says:

Wow. I hadn’t heard about the testing site being destroyed. When / how did this happen? It all makes perfect sense though as I could not figure out the complete 180 NK seemed to be making.

      • Kitten says:

They blew up an entire mountain. It’s actually really dystopic and disturbing to read about, like anything related to nuclear power. Just crazy that the environment is seen as mere collateral damage when it comes to strengthening military might. Meanwhile, where do all the toxic particles released during nuclear testing end up?

    • Kitten says:

What has been achieved, exactly? Are you referring to a recommitment to the goals of nonaggression and denuclearization? Because NK has pledged that before, only to end up breaking it.

It’s FAR too early to give credit to anybody for anything. The meeting was one commendable but small step in the right direction. That’s it.

    • Beth says:

You really are confused if you think Trump is the first POTUS to get the leader of NK to discuss getting rid of nuclear weapons. Chances are Kim Jong Un is just playing games, so don’t get too excited. Should Trump be awarded for something that hasn’t been accomplished? No!

The way Trumpsters ignore facts and only see what they want, really confuses me

      • HannahF says:

Don’t forget about Dennis Rodman’s contribution!!! Based on this theory he also deserves a Nobel prize.

      • Indiana Joanna says:

Kim is playing 45 big time. Just look how easy it is for Neyenyahu to play drump.

    • Nicegirl says:

Pretty sure you can find that article over at Fox news.

    • Olenna says:

Ha! CB might as well write about (and we can discuss) the art of ass kissing and ego stroking, which is obviously what Moon is doing.

    • Swack says:

I’ll wait and see how these achievements play out. Right now it’s all words and very little actions.

    • Digital Unicorn says:

What achievements – he’s now back tracking on the trade tariffs with the steel one with the UK and other countries being put on hold for now as he doesn’t want a ‘trade war’. As for NK, KJU is buying time till his test site has been rebuilt and he has restocked his supplies, his father pulled this one years ago.

      • Lady D says:

He doesn’t know what the hell he is doing with that trade war, he really doesn’t. The article I read this morning said he is now exempting us, Mexico and the EU from his steel tariff, at least until the end of May. So I guess we all do the limbo for the next month? I wonder what his end game really is here because what he has right now is the complete opposite of a stable trading pact. Good thing he has all that stamina.

    • whatWHAT? says:

dude can’t even be bothered to nominate an ambassador to SK, so…yeah no.

    • Tiffany :) says:

What is happening in SK/NK is a result of many things, but mostly it’s the result of the Olympics. When they were held in Seoul, NK bombed a plane and killed 115 people. South Korea didn’t want that happening around this years games, so they worked really hard to get promises of peace from NK. This lead the way.

Additionally, NK’s testing site is destroyed so when they promise not to test anymore, it’s not that big of a give. Their actions indicate they are out of the testing phase with their weapons. Trump and NK seem to have different expectations of the meeting.

    • minx says:

      I’m assuming this is snark.

      • Beth says:

I hope so, but it’s scary that there really are people who still support him and are chanting “NO-BEL! NO-BEL!” at his pep rallies because they believe he earned the Nobel Peace Prize and has accomplished so much

    • Rogue Economist says:

Anytime a Trumper blathers on about his “achievements in the Korean peninsula”, a modern history angel dies.

It’s making clear just HOW little Trumpers know about the history of NK’s aggression, duplicity and broken prior promises and how little they understand about why no recent US President – of either party – has ever sought to meet with any Kim.

Prediction: Don’t be surprised when (not if) KJU makes noises about US troops needing to leave SK before he’ll agree to any disarmament schedule.

      • Kitten says:

I’m telling you..insularity and willful ignorance is a scary combination.

      • Me46 says:

And if trump does remove US forces from SK, I’m fully expecting NK to invade SK.

      • Tiffany :) says:

It is sad how little his supporters know of the history of NK, but it is terrifying how little Trump himself seems to know about NK’s patterns.

I hope someone is managing Trump’s expectations for this meeting. If he is expecting to get his way and it gets ugly when he doesn’t, I’m really scared of the consequences.

      • Kitten says:

Don’t remind us, Tiffany. Sending this man to meet with any foreign leader always induces stress, but this is on another level.

      • Tiffany :) says:

Yes, these are intense times we are living through!

I feel like the press keeps parroting “this could be a big break through”, but they aren’t articulating the many ways in which this could go bad.

    • tback says:

Trump deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for threatening to blow up North Korea I guess? shrug.

  8. Rapunzel says:

If Trump wins a Nobel Peace Prize, there is no God. Lol at the Trumpsters who are dumb enough to think Kim Jong Un is scared of the fat old dude calling him.rocket man on Twitter. Watch Bigly totally screw the meeting up.

The Muller questions will lead to his firing. Just watch. Bigly is terrified. And totally going to destroy himself.

    • Ankhel says:

NEVER going to happen. Obama got one (despite being at war) because the Nobel committee was delighted with a young black democrat for president. The members of that committee are norwegians, meaning mostly social democrats and centrists. They will reward a right wing, nationalist racist when Hell freezes over.

    • tback says:

Trump deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for threatening to blow up North Korea I guess? shrug.

    • Lady D says:

When I heard they wanted to nominate him, I immediately started preparing myself to hear that he had won the Nobel prize for peace. Two years ago never, but now after watching two years of everything awful that wasn’t supposed to happen, happen, the grifting, the racism, sadism, ICE, DACA, treatment of women and Gold Star families, mocking the disabled, flat out bullying, and the sick joke still running the country, I now am convinced Trump will be awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace. Because it is something that should never, ever happen, it will happen in this shitshow of an election, this dark Twilight Zone crap will keep happening until he is gone. I’m also slightly more than half afraid that he will succeed in firing Mueller without repercussion.

  9. Rapunzel says:

“Great Energy” and “unending stamina” are the names of Trump’s unsecured phones that he uses for tweeting/secret Putin love chats. True story.

  10. adastraperaspera says:

I’ll tell you who needs the award for Unending Stamina. Kaiser! When the Trumpkins are all in prison it will be forums like Celebitchy that we’ll all have to thank for keeping us properly informed with facts and encouraging lively, civil public discussion.

  11. Taxi says:

    Donnie, please don’t show tongue!

  12. M4lificent says:

Maybe Donald Trump’s unending stamina is like Donald Rumsfeld’s mojo — it’s in the eye of the beholder….

  13. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

I found something to look forward to. I wonder what all these people who pander to 45, placate him, try to manage the unmanageable, the world leaders, the Republicans in Congress, EVERYONE….I wonder what they’ll be saying when this asshat is gone. Who will backtrack. Who will make excuses. Who will tell truths, and who will continue with lies. What will our country look like after he’s gone?

    • Tiffany :) says:

Oh, that’s a fantasy I could daydream about for hours! What will it look like when he’s gone….

Le sigh. I long for the day.

  14. Shannon says:

His grammar is so distracting to me that it ends up being hard to focus on his actual positions/thoughts. Probably a good thing.

  15. B n A fn says:

Just heard this on CNN, the Dotard’s old dr, the hippy looking one, says that 45 body guard and a mother dr raided his office, after the Dotard won, and took all his files. That’s something to watch. What is 45 hiding, bogus drs report from his nyc dr about his great health. Now the White House dr Johnson is demoted. Who is going to give him his uppers, sniff, sniff.

  16. Aang says:

Just listening to local public radio and they mentioned Stormy Daniels will be at a local strip club next week. My PUBLIC RADIO station is advertising for strip club. That’s how far we have sunk but I may stop by and put a few $$ in her g-string as a thank you because she may be the one that brings him down.

  17. tback says:

Trump got one thing right in his tweet: they are indeed accomplishing the UNTHINKABLE! Just not in the good way

  18. indefatigable says:

I was just listening to a press conference with Sarah Sanders. She”s picked up Trump’s habbit of calling things ‘A biig problem’.

    It’s a big problem.
