Kit Harington plans to cut off all of his glorious Jon Snow hair very, very soon

75th Golden Globe Awards - Arrivals

Don’t hype yourselves up too much with this story. There will be no way to maintain that kind of hype for the next friggin’ year. At this time last year, we were so excited to see season 7 of Game of Thrones. We covered it extensively here last summer, and it was a lot of fun and also quite infuriating as the producers and writers just start jamming a lot of storylines together. Well, the “second half” of Season 7 doesn’t air until next year, but of course they’re filming all of it right now. I believe they’re filming the last episodes right now, as we speak. Have you been thinking about it at all? I have not. But now I am, because Kit Harington is saying words about his Jon Snow hair.

What Kit hopes to do once he finishes filming: “I’d like to step away and enjoy the obscurity, cut my hair, make myself less recognizable as the character, and go do and some other things with a completely new look and tone,” Harington tells EW. So, how short, exactly, will he go? “Short-short. The beard will be harder to get rid of — I quite like the beard. I like having the long hair and beard both, but it will be like ritualistic thing. I can’t go into my next role looking the same. This role was brilliant, but I’ll need to get rid of Jon Snow.”

[From EW]

EW pointed out that Kit and Rose Leslie are apparently getting married this coming weekend, which means Kit will probably look like Grumpy Jon Snow in all of his wedding photos. Which makes me happy! Do you believe he’ll really cut it all off and shave? Honestly, I agree with him – he should keep the beard. Maybe just trim the beard a lot shorter, but keep the beard generally. And I absolutely do not want him to cut his hair super-short. GAH.

For Jimmy Choo campaign he wore a short hair look and he looked good. It’s just hair and the changes are always refreshing.

I have my tickets for his new West end play, True West, this November.

Congratulations to the couple, I like them together!!

Does he remember himself before all that glorious hair? He would become so basic. The hair and and beard made him.

Seeing an article about Orlando Bloom next to Kit Harrington really makes me wonder about their careers. Both had a break-out role in a fantasy epic, and tried their hand at a franchise piece, but I think Kit was lucky that Pompeii failed and he did not continue down that path…

Also, he’s marrying Rose Leslie soon in her Scottish castle! I find it so funny that she played a maid on Downton but really is nobility.

I think the Pompeii fiasco was good for him. I like his new future projects, Xavier Dolan’s new movie with Oscar winners actors and a new play on West end.

Blockbusters are not for everybody. And GOT actors have a lot of bad luck with them.

Emilia Clarke had her second BO disaster this may with Solo, being Terminator 3 years ago the first one.

Good. Maybe people will notice that he’s not a very good actor with the hair gone. Then again… There’s the accent. People seem to ignore a lack of acting talent when there’s a British accent. See: Alex Pettyfer and Emilia Clarke.

    Real life, yadda yadda…

Can we see his butt again?
Still not over that last sex scene. The perfection of it. Rowr

    (Too objectifying?)

Putting this above a pic of Orlando Bloom makes me realize that Kit *is* Orlando with long hair. DON’T DO IT KIT!!!
