Kylie Jenner & Travis Scott cover GQ and add more shadiness to the timeline

Are you a believer in Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott as a couple? I mean, I think they’re together and they care about each other. But I think their relationship was pretty casual when Kylie got pregnant, and I think it’s still pretty casual. I sort of applaud Kylie for not trying to package the relationship as destined for marriage, or announcing an engagement along with the pregnancy. She just does her own thing and raises Stormi at her house, and Travis stops by sometimes. Apparently, that’s enough for a GQ cover to celebrate their relationship though. You can read the full GQ piece here – I found it interesting, but honestly, these two are just dumb kids. Some highlights:

How they met, according to Kylie: “We don’t go on dates,” Kylie tells me. In fact, their first date wasn’t really a date. They were at Coachella—neither can remember where, exactly, they first met—and the whole thing just turned into a hang that went well. While she tells me about it, she begins to giggle about the story she told Travis that got his attention that night. The story wasn’t anything special, but that’s what made it real… Coachella was one of the stops on his tour. So he said, ‘I’m going back on tour—what do we want to do about this?’ Because we obviously liked each other. And I was like, ‘I guess I’m going with you.’ So I just went on tour…I really jumped on the bus. And then we rode off into the sunset. I did the whole tour with him.”

Travis on whether he worries about ‘the Kardashian Curse’ where every relationship falls apart: “I don’t even be looking at motherf–kers. I don’t be looking at sh-t. Kylie actually likes me for me. Man, hell nah. Nervous for what? I’m on my own island. So hey, come over there to Astroworld. I’m not into all the other sh-t. I don’t get involved. I’m over here. Kylie is different.

Kylie on The Kardashian Curse: “That’s exactly what it is [they fly too close to the sun]. They come and can’t handle it. Well, for all the news stories, it’s how I get over them so fast. Trav, for example, he’s like, ‘Wait…but how do you just get over this?’ He gets more angry about things. It’s not just him. It’s Jordyn [Kylie’s best friend] who I’ve seen affected. It’s everyone around us that aren’t used to it. And we’re just like, “Oh, that’ll go away in a day.” I know these stories aren’t going to matter, so don’t even let them affect you, you know? I think you’re correct. But it’s not just men—it’s friends, it’s people who come and just don’t know how to handle it. It’s the negative. There’s a lot of people who love us, but there’s also a huge handful of people who don’t like us.

[From GQ]

I didn’t know that they met at Coachella and she just got on the tour bus with him and that’s how they started. That’s interesting. And it also puts the timeline of their relationship all over the place? She really did get pregnant within A FEW DAYS of meeting Travis, by my calculations. She met him at Coachella 2017, went on the tour bus and literally nine months later, she gave birth to Stormi? Unless she’s trying to say that they met at Coachella 2016, which would mean that she was dating Travis and Tyga at the same time, because Tyga was definitely still around throughout 2016 and early 2017. This is a mess.

I’m sorry, but I cannot applaud ANYTHING this entity does. The whole Kardashian/Jenner clan makes me ill.

    • Christo says:

We agree. Is this guy even a gentleman? What has he ever done? What has she ever done other than create a make up line, leveraging the fame that she was able to garner from the porn tape of her older sister? This magazine will fold.

    • Ronaldinhio says:

This will 💯 be a cover story to muddy the conception timeline

Anything that will prevent Tyra from getting his claws back into her is good in my book
There will end up being a pot of spilled tea here one day

      • Amelie says:

I know you meant Tyga but when I saw Tyra my mind went to Tyra Banks and I thought somehow Tyra was blackmailing Kylie or brainwashed her or something!

  2. me says:

The Kardashian/Jenners all seem to have such small heads in comparison to their asses. Go figure.

Also, the part about how she just “jumped on his tour bus after meeting him and did the whole tour with him” makes me laugh. How on earth was she able to run her “billion dollar business” while on tour with a guy she just met lol?

    • Sofia says:

A friend has met Kim a few times and said that her head is abnormally small in person.

      • me says:

        @ Sofia

Yes, it really does look small in pics so guessing in person it would as well. I think the big boobs/butt don’t help with that!

  3. HadleyB says:

This cover is gross. Why is the woman always half naked the man dressed?

I don’t care about the time line. Does anyone?

  4. Mia4s says:

Ah yes, the woman is the more successful one in the relationship so clearly we should have her pose mostly naked sitting on the lap of the fully clothed man in the subservient position. Says a lot about what her fans want to see.

This girl is massively successful (no shade to her) because our society has raised some seriously stupid young women. Again, no shade to her, get paid as long as people buy this nonsense. 🤷‍♀️

    • Holly says:

Yeah no shade to her. Just shading an entire generation of women as “stupid”. Go feminism!!

      • Mia4s says:

Feminism is a belief in the social, political, and economic equality of men and women. It is not a freedom from criticism of behaviour. If some women (in my comment I said “some”, not “entire”) are behaving in a manner I believe to be stupid and below their potential, I will say so.

In a similar vein, I would note that a certain percentage of young men of the same generation have such horrendous taste in film we are cursed with product like six Transformer movies .

      • @Mia— well stated. I’d like to add more but you nailed it.

  5. AG-UK says:

What’s a huge handful? They are a bunch of stupid kids and he wasn’t even born when Astroworld was around lol. Lord from my town.

    • Lua says:

I’m having trouble telling exactly what he’s attempting to say, it makes no sense. The Astroworld part made me laugh, too. It’s been gone for ages!

      • me says:

I think Astroworld is the name of his new upcoming album (he’s out promoting it with interviews it seems).

  6. minx says:

    So trashy, all of them.

  7. Enn says:

    Ugh to all of it.

  8. HelloSunshine says:

As far as I can tell from a quick google, Travis Scott didn’t play Coachella in 2016? So girl wasn’t using her birth control or not taking it consistently or something cause she got pregnant within a few days of meeting him and going on tour apparently. Unless she’s lying about when she got with him in the first place, which wouldn’t be shocking at all.

    • Eliza says:

If she had stormi in early Feb that puts conception around early may. Based on her delivering 5 wks after i did.

So 2-3 wks after meeting Travis. And 1 month post Tyga.

  9. Abby says:

    I hate this cover.

    • minx says:

I hate the cover, I hate what I read….they just make me want to take a shower and wash off the stupidity and trashiness.

    • Interested party says:

It’s gawdawful. They sound like they share one thing in common. Very low IQ scores.

  10. Gaby says:

That cover is just…I have no words. Disgusting.

  11. Interested party says:

I don’t believe a single word out of any of this clan’s mouths. Not one word. EVERYTHING is fake and put on. They are not a couple and I believe he’s in a paid contract to keep Tyga away from that baby. I also believe that icky old Kris paid Tyga off too. Travis doubled his fortune of 8 MIL with this contract and doubled his exposure as well. The other lie is the exponential exaggeration of Kylie’s company and success. It’s ALWAYS smoke and mirrors. Never reality.

  12. Happy21 says:

They make me want to vomit. Shame on you GQ for giving this life.

  13. Sigh... says:

    He looks parched & detached.
And yet she SOMEHOW manages to look thirsty & detached.

They could’ve let her take better pics w/ her phone (w/ filters to the GAWDS), cuz the cover & whole editorial is TERRRRRRIBLE.

  14. teehee says:

Oh gee. What a fantastic role model. Wee. Way to go. Good for our girls!

    D:

    wtf

    • Otaku Fairy... says:

The whole concept of being a female ‘role model’ for girls. and the ridiculous, narrow restrictions that come along with it are problematic anyway. No, Kylie Jenner isn’t a ‘role model’ at all, but she also isn’t obligated to pretend to be one. Not only is it wrong and unhealthy to put that level of ‘responsibility’ on young women just because they exist publicly, but it’s insulting to young women who aren’t in the public eye, and it’s more about pressure than it is about allowing young women to really be human.

  15. Veronica S. says:

Man dressed up in a full on suit, sitting, while woman clinging to him is wearing the bare minimum of coverage and barefoot. I mean, she’s the “billionaire” and he’s the lesser known celebrity, but sure, Kylie. Tell yourself you’re empowered.

    • ME says:

I’ve noticed the Kardashian/Jenner women seem very subservient to their men. They may act “empowered” but it’s all a bluff. Kanye dresses Kim and basically tells her what to wear and not to wear…he even went through her whole closet and got rid of many of her clothes ! Kylie is the more famous one in her relationship and the richer one, but look at that cover pic ! I won’t even get into Khloe…

  16. Hannah Maguire says:

I just don’t understand them and I don’t get them at all. Why is she wearing a swimsuit? There is no water. Why cant she wear clothes? This isn’t shaming. It’s just frustration. I don’t understand what the message is.

    • ME says:

On the cover of Forbes she’s fully clothed in a power suit…on the cover of GQ she’s half naked, not even allowed to wear shoes, straddling her man’s thigh. Why??????

    • Aurelia says:

Yup, the K women are all despo doormats to the men in their lives. All their men are embarrassments, all liabilities but they all clung/cling to these wretched guys.

  17. Molly says:

“Travis on whether he worries about ‘the Kardashian Curse’ where every relationship falls apart: “I don’t even be looking at motherf–kers. I don’t be looking at sh-t. Kylie actually likes me for me. Man, hell nah. Nervous for what? I’m on my own island. So hey, come over there to Astroworld. I’m not into all the other sh-t. I don’t get involved. I’m over here. Kylie is different.”
    WTF?

  18. Clairej says:

It was a hard read and the cover is nasty

  19. Tosca says:

Does Kylie have a big scar on her leg?

  20. MissKittles says:

Did we just take 100 steps back? Can’t she look hot, show off her postpartum body (natural or not) AND be successful? It’s not degrading to be sexy & a bred winner.

    • Otaku fairy... says:

+1000. And before the strawmen start popping up, let’s just throw in 2 little disclaimers:
1.) Nobody’s saying that this particular photoshoot is a feminist act. It doesn’t have to be.
2.) This picture is clearly about sexiness meant to appeal to men. It’s GQ- I don’t see any real difference between this or a model of either sex doing an erotica/sexed-up romance novels cover where one person is less-clothed than the other. It’s purely fantasy, nothing more, nothing less. Not a bad or good thing.
It looks like they were going for “he just got off from work and Kylie was waiting to ‘surprise’ him.” Both Travis and Kylie are too boring to make such a photoshoot actually look really sexy. But it’s a little silly to pretend that people never, ever play these kinds of games with each other at home.

      • Etsatz says:

The cover is an hommage to a famous pic taken of Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin by Helmut Newton.

  21. 2020vision says:

Her hip implants – why would you do that to yourself. Apparently Kendall got them too (smaller ones). They have naturally boyish figures – nice figures – and feel the need to do this to themselves.

  22. Yes Doubtful says:

I think the cover is sad tbh. She’s nearly naked and he gets to wear a suit and look like a stud. I don’t see how a woman barely wearing clothing is empowering. No man has ever looked at a stripped down woman and said, “oh man, she looks so powerful, strong and independent!” No, they say “she has nice t*ts.”

    • Otaku Fairy... says:

“No man has ever looked at a stripped down woman and said, “oh man, she looks so powerful, strong and independent!” And? Men are encouraged to only look at the ways they benefit from this ‘morality’ or ‘respectability’ imposed on women. As males, they have even less incentive to empathize with that particular struggle or recognize it as something harmful than the women who rely on respectability politics do. The fact that it’s women dominating that conversation and making those statements instead of men doesn’t make it any less valid- it just means that there’s a whole subject that men grow up not even having to think about.

  23. Sid says:

The men and women in this family are so low rent.

  24. Lady Medusa says:

Kylie just always seems so immature and insecure, although having Stormi will probably help with the maturity level. I do think it’s good that she isn’t trying to paint her relationship as being that solid; she seems to be taking a more pragmatic approach.

I actually love the Kardashian women (and Kendall, but not so much Kylie). I wouldn’t go so far as to call them role models, but I think they’re strong, driven women who are more thoughtful and intelligent than people give them credit for. They’ve had to deal with unplanned pregnancies, divorce, adultery, substance abuse, death, and being held hostage at gunpoint – just because they choose to show their lives to the world doesn’t mean that those aren’t traumatic, deeply personal events. They’ve shown themselves to be resilient and savvy in the face of challenges. Kim and Kourtney especially are caring mothers. I certainly don’t think that everyone should share my appreciation (I can definitely see why people dislike them), but I think they deserve more respect than they’re usually given.

  25. Betty Whoo says:

No they didnt meet in 2016, dont give them any ideas.

Getting pregnant on a tourbus. Isnt that our ultimate goal, guys?

    *sigh*
