A few years ago, after the first Knives Out movie was released, Ana de Armas was everywhere. Then, she started dating Ben Affleck in 2020 and they loved their daily pap strolls. And although she got nominated for an Oscar for it, Ana’s last big movie, Blonde, did not do as well as she hoped. (I heard it was terrible and those reviews are why I didn’t see it.) Anyway, when Ana and Ben broke up, it was reported that one of the reasons was that Ana didn’t want to live in Los Angeles.
When it comes to break-ups playing out in the media, it’s tough to know what’s true and what’s just said in order for one or both parties to save face. This one must have been true, though, because Ana has gotten the F out of Hollywood. In fact, she’s actually gone almost as far as you can get from it within the continental United States. Ana now lives in a $7 million, 30-acre estate in rural Vermont, and she has no regrets about moving somewhere so remote.
[Ana de Armas] reflected on her decision to leave the shining lights of Hollywood behind for the shining stars above her rural Vermont home.
“I feel like nowadays, we all want to go away from the craziness of the world,” Ana told E! News’ Francesca Amiker in an exclusive interview at Eden’s Canadian premiere during the Toronto International Film Festival Sept. 7. “We all want to have the chance to build your own safe space. I’ve made that decision myself.”
“I found a home where I really feel off the grid,” she continued, donning a custom blush pink Louis Vuitton look at the event. “I can collect myself and only bring there who I want to be with. I have my little cocoon there.”
According to multiple reports, the 36-year-old now lives in a $7 million home with six bedrooms and eight bathrooms that feature sprawling views of mountains, forests and open meadows.
As for what inspired Ana to move to the northeast? It was partly due to the overwhelming media frenzy surrounding her and Ben Affleck while they dated in 2020. And just like she learned when to step away from Los Angeles, she used the same thinking when it came to moving away from past relationships.
“You just feel it when it’s time to change,” the Eden actress explained. “Look out for yourself. There’s a time when you learn what’s good for you and what’s not. What serves you the most? Pay attention to that and take action.”
And it seems she did take action because after dating the Justice League star for 10 months, an insider close to the situation told E! News that the pair were just in “different places” in life.
Nearly a year later, Ana debuted her relationship with Tinder executive Paul Boukadakis. Not long after, the pair moved to New York.
Page Six details that Ana’s home has “mountain views, open meadows, forests, trails and a swimming pool.” That sounds glorious. Honestly, this is the way. I grew up on Long Island and lived in Astoria, Queens for a few years after I graduated from college. I had so many fun and crazy New York City adventures during that time period! I thought I’d always be a city girl, but having lived in wooded North Carolina for 15 years now, I also love it and prefer it. We all deserve to find something that gives us peace and balance, and if this is it for Ana, then you go girl! To quote the Brady Bunch, “when it’s time to change, you’ve got to rearrange.” Good on Ana for doing what was best for her.

Oh, good for her! Vermont is beautiful and I have a lot of really good memories of day trips and long weekends there…
God I wish that were me.
She is living the good life.
A lot of people blamed those pap walks on Ana—so telling that she got the heck out of Dodge, and Ben immediately ran to another pap situation. Those same folks then blamed JLo!
Really good point! Her Vermont place sounds amazing
Every one of Ben’s women has been blamed for all his papping. And what is the common denominator there?
It looks lovely. At first I thought the header photo was Eve Hewson though, is it just me or do they look very much alike?
Living on a huge estate in Vermont sounds nice if the money is right for having access to such mundane things somewhere near like groceries, or having access to emergency services.
But I always wonder how these places are made to be secure.
I am not a fan, but that is the perfect way to go. Walks and bike on the trails, our dogs never on a leash, people over, things to do and see in all 4 seasons, kids able to play around in safety, gardening, etc
That is heaven. Good move Anna!
That does sound glorious, and she has worked hard for what she’s got. I thought that she and Evans would end up together. She seemed to have a little crush on him, and they’d worked together a bunch.
Emma Stone moved to Austin recently. Seems like a lot of celebs are over LA.
I must have missed that you live in NC, Rosie. I’m from Raleigh and have lived in/near Asheville for 20+ yrs.
Good for her.
Good for her! She can still do glitz and glam when she wants to and then relax in nature. Jealous of this. 30acres in Vermont sounds beautiful
She was interviewed by Vogue right before meeting Affleck, and she was very vocal on her distaste for LA and Hollywood’s scene. She sounded as if she’d been betrayed and subject to an unpleasant treatment. She wanted to return to Cuba -where she keeps family, businesses and friends- and just fly back and forth for work. The effect of Trump politics and Cuban government’s inept post-Covid economic management ravaged the country and changed all that.
