Why no, Sebastian Stan, I don’t believe we do need to think or talk about why it is trump won the popular vote or what is driving that popularity.

I think we’ve given far more time to understanding trump supporters than they deserved. They’re racist. They’re sexist. They’re bigots. They’re misogynists.
I don’t have an ounce of thought left for any of them.

Thank you! Enough! CNN now msnbc normalizing this guy! Enough I can’t stand this

      • NJGR says:

It may be too soon for this movie, but it sounds quite factual/disturbing (for example, it includes Trump’s rape of his first wife). And Trump is apparently very upset about it.

    • Syd says:

Huh? This is not a propaganda movie or an attempt to “both sides” anything or make him/his supporters more sympathetic AT ALL. It’s actually a good movie and Sebastian is INCREDIBLE in it.

    • HillaryIsAlwaysRight says:

I think the point he’s really making is that people are afraid to speak against this guy publicly. The PR firms, media firms, are already cowing. This is how democracy dies: When the media is too afraid to criticize a white nationalist fascist and his extreme agenda in control of our country.

      • Flamingo says:

@HillaryIsAlwaysRight that’s what I think too. Everyone thought the Trump nightmare was behind us. That 2025 would give us our first female President.

Now they all got blindsided and scared for their career and incomes. People are very brave to stand up for the vunerable. As long as it doesn’t hit their wallets. If it does well, then we will just pretend they don’t exist and don’t talk about it. Hollywood is a coward if they can’t heat their pools year round.

Speaking truth to power is dead.

    • Bev says:

No Sebastian, it’s not that they are afraid to talk about it, they don’t WANT to talk about it, or be associated with anyone in Hollywood that wants to give the orange menace any credibility. All Hollywood magats should be shunned, ostracized and never work in the industry again.

      • Tiffany :) says:

I don’t think the movie gives Trump “credibility.” Just the opposite, it’s my understanding it shows how they created the myth of the successful business man.

  2. Blujfly says:

Regarding Camille Grammer, Kyle Richards said it best.

  3. Jellycat871 says:

“Too afraid”???? uhm who wants to talk about a fascist. Point blank!

  4. JEM says:

Maybe no one was “afraid” to talk about The Apprentice with Sebastian Stan. Maybe no one actually wanted to. Seems more likely.

    • HillaryIsAlwaysRight says:

They’re afraid of a fascist taking office when our Supreme Court has declared that the president is basically a king.

    • Korra says:

Except an editor at Variety confirmed that what Sebastian Stan said is true. Since the election, the MPAA and execs like David Zaslov have made friendly statements towards Trump, publicly and privately. Hollywood is basically sending a lot of signals that it’s moderating itself and unwilling to rock the boat with the Trump admin this time around. So I am not sure why you need to be dismissive of Stan here when he is the canary in the coal mine with the direction Hollywood is going in as we slide into fascism.

  5. Robert says:

So, now Blake Lively is responsible for the success of Deadpool/Wolverine? lol. This couple is so desperate after the failing of her floral campaign…

  6. Syd says:

I wasn’t going to watch The Apprentice because DUH, but I got curious and I’m glad I gave it a shot. I am blown away by Sebastian Stan. I didn’t think it was possible but he managed to deliver a performance that wasn’t a satire or an impression. Never felt like an SNL skit. It was a character study. And Jeremy Strong was amazing as Roy Cohn.

Stan was also UNBELIEVABLE in A Different Man, my favorite movie of the year. Watch it if you haven’t!
