Jacob Elordi is my type, actually. I love a dark-haired stringbean who has a good eye for purses. And yet, I’ve never really been into Elordi. Maybe he’s too young for me, maybe I just haven’t seen him in the right role, although he did a great job in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla, for what it’s worth. Maybe I just needed Jacob to grow out a beard, because these photos might be doing it for me? I’ve been trying to figure out who he reminds me of with the beard. Is it Eric Bana? I think so.
Elordi was seen and photographed at the Marrakech Film Festival on its opening ceremony on Friday. He’s grown out a nice-looking beard since we’ve seen last. Okay, he could trim it a little bit, but there have been so many photos of one particular bad beard in recent months, I almost forgot what a handsome bearded man looks like. No one really knows why he’s grown out his beard either – he starts filming Euphoria’s Season 3 early next year, but no one knows if his character will be bearded or whatever.
Fashion notes: Jacob is a Bottega Veneta ambassador, and he wore a BV tuxedo and a lizard brooch from the 2025 collection. He honestly looks snazzy – I appreciate when a stringbean knows how to dress his body, and Jacob is kind of a dandy.

I’m of the mind that folks only think he’s hot because he’s tall. I think his looks are mediocre but he is a talented actor.
Some hot dudes like Chris Pine can rock a beard but this isn’t doing it for me at all. It oddly makes his face look rounder imo.
Generally speaking, beards are the refuge of dudes with weak jawlines. Or the burgeoning double chin that age can bring to us all. This guy has one of the best jawlines I’ve seen, so why, Jacob, why? I agree that it makes his face rounder.
Or no chin.
I think the beard could be fine with a different hairstyle. This looks too retro, not modern enough
It’s okay? I don’t know. He doesn’t do it for me. But neither does Austin Butler. Or Timmy chalemet. Or Glen Powell. It might be an age thing. Jacob was heartthrob material in the kissing booth movies which were very silly. Which is what they’re supposed to be but then he talked bad about them. A lot of these guys are too young and meh for me. Eric Bana though? Yes please. Think I prefer Nicholas Galatzine from that age cohort. But I’m open to changing my mind if I see them in something that makes them more interesting. But yeah they’re all just babies to me.
Eric Bana is fiiiiine. I’ve been crushing on him forever.
Maybe I’m letting his role in Saltburn influence me but Elordi? Nope.
My first impression was Paul McCarney in the Wings era. I just watched the Yacht Rock documentary (which I thoroughly enjoyed!) and he looks like he stepped out of that scene – maybe his next bio-pic should be Kenny Loggins!
No, no, no — Jacob Elordi (talented though he is) is not anywhere near the same level of hotness as Eric Bana.
The beard somehow transforms his face into a 10yo boys (a 10yo wearing a beard)
