King Charles & Camilla attended Easter services in Windsor, without the Waleses

Call me crazy, but King Charles and Queen Camilla both looked really nice on Easter? They attended services in Windsor, at St. George’s Chapel. I even think Camilla wore an outfit which would have looked right at home on the Princess of Wales, who usually favors a shade of blue for Easter. Camilla’s coat was by Fiona Clare, who is basically Camilla’s personal couturier, and Camilla has worn this piece before. Her bag was Bottega Veneta and her hat was Philip Treacy. Camilla also chose a beautiful brooch from the Royal Collection archives – an Art Deco piece with a large moonstone. Like, I absolutely think Camilla is an awful person who has destroyed lives and left bodies in the street… but I also enjoy the fact that she’s raided the Royal Collection and we’ve been seeing so many rarely-seen pieces in recent years.

Some extended family came out – I’ll cover them separately – but the king’s two sons and two daughters-in-law all avoided seeing Charles on one of the biggest holidays in Christianity. In the Sussexes’ case, I’m positive that Charles did not invite them and didn’t want to see his red-headed grandchildren on Easter, nor did the Sussexes want to come to the UK where Charles would have put them in danger constantly. As for the Waleses… I mean, they absolutely should have come to Windsor, where they allegedly live, to attend an Easter service just a short walk away. Instead, they were apparently in Norfolk, enjoying the rest of the kids’ school holiday. Kate has always preferred being in Norfolk, but I have no idea what William does there or where he actually spends his time or any of that. It’s also interesting to me that most of the “royal headlines” were about “Charles and Camilla attend Easter service while Will & Kate skip for the second year in a row!” Hm.

PS… Charles’s color has improved in recent weeks. He doesn’t look so ashy and he seems perkier since his hospitalization a few weeks ago.

The sight of Andrew front and center was super off putting with his ex trailing after him. And yet Charles rejects harry Meghan and their children. The York princesses looked cheerful and the Edinburgh family . Lady Louise was not there with them. Rumor in media Andrew will be a working royal again. Camilla wears her usual style. I wonder where the keens really are.

    • Hypocrisy says:

It is extremely obvious that Chuck wants the nonce back or he would not dust him off to test the waters several times a year it’s disgusting. The man was accused of raping a trafficked minor and paid her off, he should be going into the church by a back door head held in shame forever imo not front and center like an honored guest of the king.

      • Tessa says:

The F b i Wanted to talk to Andrew. He was hidden out. He was associating with two notorious criminals yet he is front and center with the royal family

    • AR says:

      @TESSA
Saying that Andrzej took advantage of a woman is like saying nothing. For over 30 years he was in a very close relationship with a pimp and human trafficker, and let no one try to convince me that Andrzej was not more involved than that one time. And when you add that Epstein and his woman were frequent guests at the palace and spent holidays at Elizabeth’s cottage, then maybe Andrzej is not the only one who is implicated in this relationship.

      • Tessa says:

I don’t doubt there were more. He and fergie even invited Epstein and ghislaine to their Beatrice and Eugenie parties. And there was that photo of Epstein and ghislaine at one of the queens properties

    • StillDouchesOfCambridge says:

Charles demanded that Andrew be there so the press can talk about his presence instead of why the Wales are again absent. Cleary, something is happening, they’re never there.

And this might be a last minute ask for Andrew because look at Andrew’s suit, it’s all wrinkled with the arms still with the wardrobe hanger pleat. He likes to look good, it’s not like him to be disheveled like this

  2. Hypocrisy says:

Just had to have that photo op with the Pope who was on his deathbed 🤬…

    • Tessa says:

And they just had to have that wedding anniversary photo op

    • Where'sMyTiara says:

They showed up unmasked, a pair of contagion-drifting grifters…

They always manage to leave bodies in the street, don’t they?

    • Spicy Otter says:

This just reminded me that Charles and Camilla had to change their wedding day at zero notice because the then Pope died on the day it was scheduled for. That’s cheered me up a bit.

      • Tessa says:

        Rather eerie

      • Blubb says:

Spicy otter: yes, right, because the queen sent Charles to the popes funeral. 😁
Thinking of that, is the now prince of Wales going to this funeral? If he finds the time…

  3. Normades says:

They actually look good here. Like the matchy blues

    • Tessa says:

She wears the usual house coat style
      Neither are fashion icons.

      • Blogger says:

That’s why Diana was hailed as a fashion icon for breaking out of that dowdiness.

The Rottweiler remains frumpy like the housewife-mistress she spent most of her life as. Her clothes and accessories must cost Chuck a lot of money though. That’s where the Duchy money is going! Throwing huge amounts of lipstick on a pig!

      • Where'sMyTiara says:

The whole ensemble looks like a horrific lovechild of a polyester pantsuit and those 80s-90s velour zip up bathrobes.

Her style is stuck in the 80s, really. More than stuck. Ossified.

Mme. Macron looks positively glamorous in comparison. Rottweiler von Homewrecker knows this of course – I imagine it’s why she kept disappearing into vats of wine on her last public jaunt to France.

      • Me at home says:

To be fair, Camzilla is 77 and probably can’t find her waistline anymore. A more structured dress can be tricky, as Fergie showed us.

      • Blogger says:

        @wheresmytiara

“ horrific lovechild of a polyester pantsuit and those 80s-90s velour zip up bathrobes.” 😂🤣😂

Let’s face it, the Rottweiler peaked during that time period, backstabbing Diana with her daily gossip session with the rats.

Couldn’t she take styling tips from her contemporaries…I mean Anna Wintour got some gong recently from Chuck, can’t she seek advice from her? Or did Anna just look at the mess that she is and thought, no one can ever fix this woman’s lack of fashion?

Still 🤣 when the Rottweiler cosplayed Diana’s revenge dress and Meghan’s Dior. The Rottweiler and Lazy share so much in common in that regard. Their hate can’t help but copy their better.

      • Nic919 says:

To be fair Camilla isn’t the one pretending she’s a fashion icon. Kate is the one who is doing that.

      • Tessa says:

Yes. The 20th anniversary was followed by the death of pope Francis their wedding in 2005 was delayed by funeral of john paul ii.

    • Jais says:

The soft blue matchiness was nice. And I’m one that does like softer colors for Easter Day. Honestly, people can wear what they want but soft pastel colors just make me think of easter.

    • Princessk says:

Camilla looked very awkward as usual, she didn’t know which way to turn, I think she didn’t want to greet family members because nobody except Fergie would want to curtsey to her. Sure evidence that Camilla has the media in her pocket as she made sure she turned around for the cameras.

  4. Amy says:

If they were smart, W&K would say they refuse to attend events where Andrew is present.

    If they were smart.

    • Tessa says:

Unfortunately William has walked with Andrew on these services. He despises harry though

    • Amy Bee says:

The derangers are easing their disappointment in William and Kate in not going to Windsor with that fantasy. I’ve never believed that William had any stance on Andrew’s presence.

    • Jais says:

There was that picture of William Andrew and Kate all in a car together going to church or something so I don’t think that excuse could work.

    • Where'sMyTiara says:

They’re honestly spoiled for choice on whom to avoid in that family.

I think they’re both not keen on Camilla and that’s why they dipped.

Camilla succeeded in her 40+yr game plan to destroy the BRF from within by alienating Cluck from his sons, his first wife, his extended family, and then by turning the sons against one another.

    • Me at home says:

The sycophants in the Fail’s comments are using that exact line. “They’re not lazy, they just refuse to be seen with Andrew.” Unfortunately, it’s not persuasive because somebody, maybe the Waleses but who knows, persuaded Charles to disbar Andrew from royal functions including that walk last Christmas, and they could have done it again. My guess is Charles needed more warm bodies this time, and Andrew and Fergie were among the few available.

      • Tessa says:

They can’t blame Andrew for their shirking work and going on vacations. And Andrew was seen walking right next to the entire Wales family so various church services.

    • Nic919 says:

William gave Andrew a ride to catch a plane to Balmoral while ignoring his own brothers texts about what was going on. So William can never act like he’s avoiding Andrew.

Plus William and Kate were driving him to church in 2023. These two are as dirty as anyone else in the leftover family, no matter what the derangers say.

  5. 809Matriarch says:

Her dress? Meh. Same cut. Looks like a housecoat with a hat and brooch.

  6. Amy Bee says:

I think if Kate had it her way she and the family would be still living in Norfolk full time. I think it was William’s jealousy of Harry that led him to return to KP in 2017.

    • Weatherby says:

Kate needs to be close to Mummy. She’d been begging for a manor there for over a year and a half before she was finally tossed Adelaide Cottage as a consolation offer. She made clear this was not her first choice, and she very much did not find it suitable. The other problem with Norfolk? That’s the scene of Kate’s infamous defeat in her efforts to “phase out” Rose Hanbury. She retreated from the Norfolk set quick-march and there’s no evidence to suggest she’s been back since.

      • Weatherby says:

…With the exception of a pity invitation from her husband’s well-established former lover. After the dust of the phasing out had settled, and a clear victor had emerged.

The humiliation Kate is willing to endure to hold onto that crown must ache each and every day.

  7. Cheryl says:

Were there any crowds? I didn’t see any on YouTube either.

  8. Alicky says:

Just saying, Easter is THE biggest event in the Christian calendar. It’s the entire point.

    Chuck and Camz looked good.

  9. Bqm says:

No one knows the provenance of the moonstone brooch but it’s likely Camilla’s not a royal piece. It was first seen in 2022.

    • Blubb says:

BQM: In July, which would have been her75th birthday, so it maybe Charles birthday present worth 30000.
Argh, but he couldn’t feed his DIL.

  10. Lily says:

This family being all about optics…. It says a lot for a King and a father that his sons are not present but his mistress turned wife is.

    • Blogger says:

Chuck made his bed he’s currently lying in.

Unloved and easily forgettable. Chuck will be as remembered as Queen Victoria’s successor.

      • Gail Hirst says:

        @Blogger
Just checking….you mean Queen Elizabeth’s (II RIP) successor, yes?

      • Blogger says:

@Gail can’t remember Queen Vic’s heir. So history will remember him as QE2’s heir. Or Diana’s awful ex. Or Harry’s cruel sperm donor.

      • Yellow lights says:

Blogger, you’re not far wrong! Edward VII was POW for nearly 60 years and only king for 9. Though he did have some positive impact as a monarch, unlike chucky.

      • Gabby says:

You forgot he will also be remembered as the Tampon king and antagonizer of pens.

  11. FancyPants says:

“I have no idea what William does there or where he actually spends his time or any of that” come on Kaiser, I think you have *some* idea (rhymes with “Bose Fanbury”).

  12. I think Chuckles looks better because he was in Italy getting some sun so he doesn’t look so very pale.

  13. Advisor2U says:

Beatrice, Eugenie and James (Edward’s son) were the only second generation Windsors at this Eater Service – no third generation children at all. The monarchy under Charles’ reign is starting to look more like a relic. None of the current headfigures are insperational.

QE2 went the extra miles to invite/include as many of her grandchildren and (extended) family members to/into the high day events on the monarchical calendar, because she understood that this was, more than anything else, what defines the monarchy and its acceptance and support by the Brits. Charles can’t read the room – he doesn’t care what the public thinks or feels – for example, by keep inviting Andrew to these events.

    • Blogger says:

Perhaps it’s a good thing too. Who in the family genuinely wants to be associated with such an unpopular king?

When he dies, all sorts of stories will come out.

      • Hypocrisy says:

I really hope Prince Harry publishes some of those stories in a second book.. especially on what happened behind the scenes with all the lawsuits. (Security and tabloids both) because we know Chuck was cowardly behind the scenes trying to destroy/unalive the Sussex family.

      • Gabby says:

I’ll bet my dog that based upon that “closed door” evidence, Harry now considers his relationship with Charles over.

  14. Over it says:

What is the exact purpose of Will and Kate ? Like seriously, other than vacation every six weeks, what do they do ? Not even in those 6 weeks do they do much work. I am not even talking about a real job. No 9-5 . All they have to do is show up here and there for about an hour or less and they don’t even do that . Easter Sunday after being on vacation for 4 weeks plus does not seem a big ask from them . Especially considering they seems in great health to ski in France and fly all the way to the Caribbean to drink and sun . I would be beyond pissed if my tax paying pounds was responsible for the lifestyle of the rich, lazy and inept and immensely privileged.
So many hungry people this money should go to instead of these two . Yet the British media lets them get away with it because the sport of Meghan and Harry bashing for not doing anything wrong is more fun for them I guess. It really makes me angry.

    • Eurydice says:

At this point, their purpose is to wait until Charles dies. Really, that’s it. They have no other obligations other than to serve the monarch, for whatever that means.

      • Jais says:

And yet they’re barely showing service to the crown if they can’t even go to an easter service with the monarch… messy.

      • Hypocrisy says:

That seems to be the only royal duty they are doing at all anymore.. maybe Kate refused to show up tiaraless to any more events so she’s on leave until she gets the keys to the vault.

      • Eurydice says:

@Jais – I suppose if Charles made it a direct order, they’d be obliged to attend. But right now, it seems like C&C and W&K don’t give a rat’s ass if they ever see each other again. Charles is a rotten father and William is a rotten son. As a future king, William is uninterested, unteachable and barely presentable – and it looks like Charles isn’t going to spend his last few years as king worrying about that, or about anything else other than Camilla, really.

      • Jais says:

Ha! Good point. Charles not caring if they show up one way or another. The Chelsea flower show must be coming up again soon and if he’s smart he’ll make a direct order that Kate not show up with bus-loads of kids. Especially as she continues her one with nature pr.

      • Eurydice says:

        @Jais – Lol, you’re right. It’s the 3rd or 4th week in May.

      • Jais says:

That was such a chaotic day, the Chelsea flower show-down. Rota running away from Charles to get pictures of Kate in a garden with school children. It still makes me laugh. Kate chose violence that day.

  15. Blubb says:

The tampons look nevet good. Never ever. Maybe Andrew was the price for the whole York family? Because these six what would have been left… And isn’t Charles wearing make up?
Am I alone in thinking afterwards the Yorks got home to the grandchildren, Anne to her children, this Edinburghs got home too and Cammie left for her family?

  16. Whalesnark says:

I wish for them only the same amount of misery that they’ve visited upon Harry and his family, his former dead wife and her family and the rest of the country. That is all, no more.

  17. Becks1 says:

I like the blue shade on Camilla.

The Wales absence is very notable since they presumably live in Windsor. They can ski but cant go to this service?

As for what William does – my guess is he spent the weekend holed up chatting on an EPL forum.

    • Nic919 says:

Some media are claiming they went to the service in Sandringham but again pictures or it’s not true with those two.

I think part of what we aren’t discussing is that the last time Charles was near Kate he basically ignored her as she was doing a curtsy and she was cut off from the state dinner. So it might be likely that Charles didn’t want Kate there.

My theory is that Charles is doing this because he’s mad at some leverage she used last year (relating to William) and he’s not directly connected to what William did so he’s taking it out on her. Also zero mention she has his family order. That is super intentional. It is bizarre for a princess of wales to not have it by now. Diana got hers from Elizabeth fairly early on into the marriage.

      • Becks1 says:

@Nic919 yeah I think there is some bad blood between kate and charles. Does he think she stole his cancer thunder? Is he mad that she used her cancer to get out of work for a year+ while he basically took 3 weeks off? Something else?

He ignored her at the state visit, did not attend her christmas concert and ignored her again at the commonwealth service. something is up.

      • Jais says:

@nic 919, I had forgotten about Charles turned his back on Kate. And yes at two different events! And @becks1, I have always wondered how both Charles and Camilla must’ve felt bc Kate kind of did steal his cancer thunder. It sounds petty but they are petty. It’s just funny bc in the year preceding their rough health, Charles put out one or two statements about his darling daughter-in-law Kate or something like that. It always made me think that if the opposite is usually the case with these people, then how does he really feel about her? @eurydice said above that Charles is probably happy they’re not there. We keep thinking it’s William bailing but what if it’s Charles saying don’t bother, lol.

      • Jaded says:

There’s definitely bad blood between the Windsors and Wales. It really came to a head at the conanation when she turned up in a Temu Tiara despite being told no tiaras. Then they were late, holding up the whole procession. Charles looked livid and glared daggers at William when he kissed his cheek during the ceremony. Then *something* big happened early last year causing the Wales to go underground for months, something that left a scar on Kate’s temple. Oh, I forgot…it was cancer, accompanied by faked photos and videos, no sign of a port in her arm as she stated, looking healthy and tanned at Wimbledon. Too many things simply don’t add up, and the antipathy between C&C and W&K is as obvious as the nose on my face. Charles knows he has a lazy, temperamental dolt for an heir and his wife is just as worse. He’s lost all respect for them and knows that when he falls off his perch, the monarchy will crumble. It’ll be like having Dumb and Dumber at the helm.

      • Deborah1 says:

@Nic 919 – I read that too. I can believe W&K plus kids attended the Easter church service at Sandringham in Norfolk, despite there being no photos. And who accompanied them? Ma and Pa Middleton of course. Bulliam would rather spend time with his in-laws than his own father.

  18. IdlesAtCranky says:

Useless people performing public dumbshows that benefit no one but earn them millions of pounds in public monies.

    Got it.

  19. maisie says:

I suspect Charles got a blood transfusion recently.

    • FlamingHotCheetos2021 says:

That or this is the burst of liveliness before the end. We won’t know until the news announcers come on tv with black ties, though.

  20. Durga says:

Can’t really blame anyone for not wanting to expose children (or oneself) to a pedophile.

    • sevenblue says:

Both W&K gave a ride to Andrew to the church and smiled for the photos. They have no problem with Andrew while leaking to the royal reporters that walking with Meghan was the hardest thing Kate did. Be serious now.

      • Tessa says:

Yes I think the idea of the wails was to show harry and Meghan that Andrew is welcome and they are not.

    • AR says:

      @TESSA
Yes, they think that he humiliates Harry like that, but they only make fools of themselves
But I also noticed – I don’t know about you – but I have the impression that when there is no WK, everyone behaves more freely and there is a more relaxed atmosphere, even with Andriu:)

  21. Lady Digby says:

Weren’t we told that Kate arranges access to her children for the King? I wonder when Charles last had a visit with the Wales grandchildren or even supper with W and K? Are things that frosty that they just see them on official events just for photo ops? Sad KC talked about kindness and cruelty at Easter. Both sons and their wives and grandchildren weren’t at his side. Is he truly happy with that level of estrangement or is the Crown and Camilla all that he ever really wanted? Sad really but it is his choice as an adult.

  22. kelleybelle says:

Every single time they’re photographed together all I see is adultery, cruelty, greed and selfishness. Individually they are thoroughly nasty in every way.

  23. Khadi says:

Interesting picture of the “King and Queen” At Easter and neither son attends service.

  24. QuiteContrary says:

What a sad procession of the heartless and hapless.

    • Beverley says:

Yep, it’s another uninspired, boring episode of the left-behinds in The Heartless and The Hapless.
Truly lame as far as soap operas go.
