Update: Reader Mickey points out that the twins have the growth disorder acromegaly, which is associated with gigantism. We reported this based on a story in The Daily Mail, which said their appearance was due to plastic surgery and included no mention of the disorder. It was wrong of me not to look them up and confirm the Mail’s account. I could not verify that the twins have this disorder, though. If you have a link to a story that states they have acromegaly, please provide it. They may have had plastic surgery to compensate for the effects of their medical condition. This just goes to show that you shouldn’t judge others without knowing them, which is what gossip is all about.
I’ve never heard of these guys before, but it’s worth covering this story just to marvel at what they’ve done to their poor faces. Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff, 60, are twin former TV stars in France who have obviously had a lot of terrible and unnecessary plastic surgery. Look at how handsome they were in the photo below before they subjected themselves to very obvious comical cheek and chin implants and what must be several face lifts. The two stepped out in Cannes at an event looking more like puppets than real people. Should we feel sorry for people who do this to themselves? They obviously suffer from body dysmorphia disorder, and the plastic surgeons who enable this should get their licenses taken away. I know I always want to give Jocelyn Wildenstein a hug when I see her. She’s like the elephant woman of the modern world. These two, well, I would just try not to stare too hard.
In mildly related news, TMZ had a recent “‘Memba Them?” on Judge Reinhold, the super cute 80s star of such hits as Beverly Hills Cop and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The guy has had so much plastic surgery he’s nearly unrecognizable. (Below: Before and After) He kind of looks like these poor twins. I’ve often said that I’ll probably get a face lift at some point, but I don’t know if I’m even going to opt for Restylane or Botox. There are just too many things that can go wrong, the worst being that you end up looking like a warped version of your former self.

But, about Judge Reinhold. I’ll always remember him with special affection for his genius portrayal of the “Close Talker”, Elaine’s personal space-invading, apple-polishing boyfriend who knocked himself out entertaining Jerry’s parents on Seinfeld.
But, other than smoothing and feminizing his skin a bit, I don’t really see a huge change in his appearance.

When ppl get plastic surgery to that horrible extent its a cry for help, its a sickness…its a disease. It’s like the anorexic girl who’s nothing but skin and bones but everytime SHE looks in the mirror all SHE sees is a fat/obese girl that just wont go away.
ALL these ppl c r hideous bodies and faces they just cant seem to “beautify” so they opt for 1 surgery after another. kinda like the anorexic sticking her finger in her mouth to get rid of whatever shes eaten.

I read all of your comments and of course the article of celebitchy and I’m really shocked of all the ignorance towards the twins. These two guys had certainly plastic surgery, but not because they like it. Plastic surgery was necessary in their situation -> they have the syndrome Acromegaly. It’s really sad that people laughing around because of allegedly failed plastic surgery. Please don’t gossip and laugh about dangerous illness like Acromegaly. Maybe their faces are a bit strange, and considered scary in these times of physical seekness of perfection, but I’ve seen their show a several times, and they both are incredibly intelligent, well spoken and funny. They have huge knowledges in physics and mathematics, more than the rest of us will ever have.
I read somewhere a long time ago else that they indeed have a disorder, “acromegaly” seems to fit.

I’ve known of these gentlemen and their accomplishments for years, and of their malady. I think removing the story would be appropriate, CB, as they are not celebrities in the current sense and don’t deserve to be mocked or singled out on a gossip website for their physical condition, even with the after-the-fact caveat.
Judge Reinhold’s silicone injection OD is a tenuous and inaccurate tie-in back to Hollywood gossip.

While there are claims that they have acromegaly, they do not seem to have any other visible symptoms.
Their hands and teeth seem to be normal. Their brows do not seem to be protruding.
Other people with the disease include Andre the Giant, actor Paul Benedict, Ted Cassidy – who played Lurch in the Addams Familly TV show.

el, while hands and feet may swell with the disease, it’s the bones and skin of the face, jaw, internal organs and joints that are most often and noticeably affected. These gentlemen more closely resemble Tony Robbins, who is also a sufferer, and their brows are definitely protruding.
Please pull this story, CB. It’s cruel to leave it up.
EDIT: Why do we feel the need to place blame based on conjecture on people who suffer from a disease? If you look at pictures of them over the years, it was a slow process beginning when they were fairly young, with one of them developing the chin deformity first.

i remebered those two. They were gifted twins and used to have that scientific related intellectual show on TF1, the french main channel.
If my memory serves me well, they disappear then came back years later with that face.
My father who used to watch that show told me that one of the twins acknoweldeged to experiment some weird stuffs and chemical thing on his face.
I don’t what it was but it was more than the typical plastic surgery. It was a scientific experiment they both did and end up with more plastic surgeries.
I remembered that they said they took some medication that make their bone structure on the chin grow tremendously like somee who will have macomegalie, a physial desease that makes your head grow and big like two/three times what is normal.
They are crazy scientists obssessed by experilent on their own body. they are sick !

Even in France people don’t really know if they do have Acromegaly or if they fooled around with their faces for attention.
I live in France and my Hubby’s a doctor and he says that for him, Acromegaly does not look like that. Their forhead seems the same , their jaw line didn’t move,the size of their heads did not grow bigger. It’s all about the chin , eyes and lips in their case.
But these guys are very difficult to “get”. There’s a whole thing about their scientific papers and research. Some people think they are trying to fool everyone with their research and that their “image” is also a part of it.

Those guys have a PhD of Physic for one and math for the other from Dijon. They are famous for their TV show about popularizing space knowledge, and eventually little green guys.
