The National Movie Awards were held Wednesday night in London, and they got some big names to show up. Like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. For a moment, I was like, “Oh, Katie looks really good!” Then I saw her shoes. Open-toe boots. Ah, well – everything else about the look is surprisingly good, and unexpected. I love how tall she looks too – the striping accentuates how tall and slender she is, which probably made Tom a “little” mad. Oh, well. Even her hair and makeup looks good too! So I‘ll forgive the shoes. Here’s a close-up:

That’s right. Anyway, I don’t really know what the National Movie Awards are in England – are they like the Golden Globes, maybe? The BAFTAs are like the Oscars and Emmys combined, because they give out television awards at the same time? But that’s true of the Globes. Okay… I just looked them up… now I think the National movie Awards are like the MTV Movie Awards or the People’s Choice. They reward big popcorn films. Robert Pattinson won “Performance of the Year”. Sherlock Holmes won Best Action/Thriller (word – I recently saw it and I was blown away by how good it was!).

I’ve read on several different sites how fresh and pretty Katie looks. Am I the only one who thinks her eyes look dead and she looks . . . strange, somehow? Stranger than usual.
Ok, can I just say that Gwyneth eerily reminds me of Judy Jetson?
Second, am I the only person in this world that thinks Katie Holmes is just plain uggles? I find absolutely nothing attractive about her and her eyes creep me out.
@ Kaye – with you on the K Holmes. That first picture shows her with a smugness on her face that makes me want to slap it off her and yet, I ultimately feel sorry for her because I’m much rather be me than have to look like her or touch her husband.
Gwyneth Paltrow looks like a Barbie doll. I’m not sure if I’m insulting her or complimenting her.
And Emma Watson is adorable! Love her dress; she always manages to mix classy and edgy without looking like she’s trying too hard.
As for Katie and Tom– no comment. I can’t make myself care.
And Chris Rock is strange.

Aaron’s 43 years old fiancee always looks happy like little child. I mean, Emma Watson seems to be able to give you more mature look than her…
Oh, and on the top picture Kate looks as if she had some sews on her forehead kinda like Frankenstein… 😉
As I always say, Katie used to be so perky and sunshiny and beautiful because of that. Having said that,
What annoys me most about her now is that she seems to have borrowed Posh’s half-smile/smirk, whatever you would call it. I wish Katie would just be herself or adapt to some form of HERSELF. The current look is NOT becoming at all. Hey Katie, you are NOT Posh- stop copying Posh’s expressions – get your own personal style. Thanks.

What is going on around the top of Katie’s forehead?? Is that her hairline or the seams of a wig?
I think she gets her botox put in too low and it makes her forehead look heavy. Nicole Kidman has the same problem.
Also too heavy are Katie’s shoes with that dress.
I love love love Gwyneth’s outfit and shoes but the necklace does not work with that neckline. Bigger earrings and a big ring would have been better.

Sam Taylor Woods white bra/big belly button outfit is horrible although I think I have those exact same shoes..which I would never ever wear with tights.

Katie looks like she thinks she is all that, but those shoes? with that dumb a** summer dress? Did Suri pick it out so you have to wear it? Yes, and brown eyeshadow up to your eyebrows is oh so dirty and not hot looking… It’s one continual car accident with her and her outfits.
what is that on her forehead? Those weird little tendrils? I find it interesting how she only ever seems to smile when on Tom’s arm at a Red Carpet Event. Normally she looks like shit on a stick.
