I definitely don’t believe she’s shopping with Clooney’s money, unless you count her Leverage paycheck as Clooney’s money. There was a story in the Italian press earlier this year about CanalAss’s brother being deep in debt and being sued. I’m starting to think that Clooney got her the Leverage gig as a compromise rather than just handing her money to bail out her brother. At any rate, a business deal is a business deal, and Clooney has no reason to hand over his personal funds to her. She is getting publicity and work out of this arrangement, and that’s as far as things go.

She repeatedly pulls stunts that she seems to think will actually fool people into believing she is some great beauty and/or actress, while at the same time she behaves disrespectfully towards truly beautiful and talented actresses, and I’m not referring to Aniston. People don’t hate her because she’s Italian, it’s because of her bad attitude. It would be nice if she were alittle bit humble and gracious for the opportunity that she has been given, especially when you want to be famous in a county that may not know you that well. It would be wise for her to act like a lady and put her best foot forward and prove to people including Georges fans that she is more then capable of such an opportunity that other people strive for many years to get. The best way for her to win peoples heart is to be gracious, kind,sweet and appreciative of these opportunities. If it were me, I would be very grateful and would want to make George proud of me!

She always reminds me of Mariah Carey in her bathing suit pics as Mariah has that same long torso/short legs body type without much waist definition. @new at this, the term beard is used to refer to fake girlfriends used by gay men to make them appear straight. I don’t believe Canalis is a beard, but some people do. I do believe this is a fake relationship, but I believe it is for publicity purposes and possibly as part of the Italian finance deals for The American and Leverage. A sensationalistic relationship sells lots of Italian rags, and that would pay for the financing the Italian companies have provided.

It’s understandable that he’d want to choose an alternative to personal financial risk if there were another option available. The finance theory is something I’ve put together based on various pieces of information. Logically, it makes sense in that the Italian companies would make money and the movie and TV show would receive needed financing with no financial risk to Clooney. On the surface, it seems like a win-win, oh except of course there’s that sticky matter of giving up his personal life for a specified length of time.

Clooney didn’t finance GNGL with his own money. He had investors. I remember him in an interview describing a meeting he had with someone during the filming of Syriana, asking them to finance GNGL. As I recall, Clooney said the meeting was successful, the person was pleased with his pitch, and gave him the cash he needed.
Even with his painful neck injury and while still busy filming Syriana (and while on location no less), Clooney was trying to find financing for GNGL. He doesn’t finance his own films exclusively. Very few people are ever able to do that.
