Sarah Larson – George Clooney’s first girlfriend that could be called “serious” since… well… ever, probably – says that she and George actually met a long time before the often mentioned Oceans Thirteen premiere in Las Vegas last year. According to Larson, she met George at his birthday bash “three or four years ago,” but she was seeing someone at the time. When he found out she was working at another club last summer, he got in touch with her, and a month later asked her to go to Italy with him.
Sarah Larson cleared up a big mystery on Wednesday: how she ended up in the company of actor George Clooney, one of the world’s most eligible bachelors. It was long before the much-reported “Ocean’s Thirteen” premiere during CineVegas last June at the Palms, said Larson, in her first lengthy interview since their relationship got serious.
“It was on his birthday three or four years ago at Whiskey at Green Valley Ranch,” she said. Clooney was with some friends, including Whiskey owner Rande Gerber, “and I was with some friends. We were all dancing, taking pictures, being silly,” she said. Larson, who worked as a cocktail server at Whiskey, was dating someone else at the time.
Last June, when Clooney came to town for the “Ocean’s” premiere, “he heard I was working at Moon,” made contact at the nightclub, and “we hung out,” she said. A month later, he invited her to go to Italy. It’s been a whirlwind romance ever since. She’s attended world premieres with him, attended the Academy Awards on his arm, survived a motorbike crash with him and met his parents.

Larson is working on a career as a model. At 28, she’s actually a bit old to be starting out as a model, but she’s absolutely stunning. She’s just signed with the Nous Agency in Los Angeles, and made some barely-veiled hints that she and George would be going to Milan when they’re in Italy next month. Not surprisingly, she said Clooney is very supportive of her modeling career, and made some joke that if he wasn’t, she’d walk away. Somehow I don’t believe that.

she was working as a waitress in a resturant owned by Randy Gerber ( married to Cindy Crawford) she must have impressed George and it was’nt that hard to date her since randy is one of Georges best pals so he just asked him about her. Plus George likes waitess and cocktail hotess, Nic Gage married one so did Matt Damon so perhaps Sarah will get lucky also.
I think she’s lovely. But there’s no doubt that at 28 (29?), she would never be offered a contract with a modelling agency if it weren’t for George Clooney. So even if she and George don’t last, she has it made! And more power to her.

Yeah, she probably started dating Clooney because he’s Clooney but so have alot of other women and he didn’t keep them around for as long. I think there is something real there. Maybe not undying love but there’s got to be some kind of affection and mutual respect for them to still be together.

I like the fact that (assuming this story is true) she didn’t dump her first guy 3 years ago the second george showed interest. that speaks favorably of her.
I think she makes him happy. Her age is part of that, as is her nature. She doesn’t seem like a gold digger. She does seem like a good time gal, she probably makes him feel good and given his life, he probably has needs that she can suit perfectly. She can pretty much be there when he needs her. Unlike another actress, who would probably have to spend time apart. So, yes, it’s convenient but it works for now. Who know what will happen when he gets older though. And when she gets older? Will he dump her for someone younger (and look kind of like a creepy ass at that point), and will she have given up/wasted the best years of her life … who could come after George Clooney. Her life chances seem more at risk than he does. If he’s not going to marry her, I hope at least she’s financially secure because at some point, she might have nothing else. Pretty grim if you ask me.

The only words I can think of when it comes to celebrity gossip;particularly this story is jealously and resentment. The bottom line is that the woman doesn’t have to be stunningly beautiful to be Clooney’s arm piece. She’s probably amazing in bed and fun to be around. Sometimes women just don’t understand that you can’t determine what someone is worthy of by looking at a picture. Clooney made his choice. Live with it.

It’s kind of interesting that he prefers a woman not his equal…but, then again is it necessarily wrong? Are all men supposed to be the same way? It’s hard to get signed at that age. But she’s not a cookie-cutter Barbie, has a striking appearance, and has presence. She looks like what they look for in models (except maybe her size–not sure how tall she is or what dress size she is).
I think she’s pretty. Definitely pretty enough to be a model. Models to me, aren’t all that pretty anyway, Most of them are just very tall and thin- if it wasn’t for that, people wouldn’t even notice them.
