I hope someone speaks German! Because I would love to know what the hell this GQ Germany interview for Lindsay Lohan says. Anyone? Herr Bueller? Oh, never mind – if you are using Google Chrome and you go to that site, you can get an automatic translation! Awesome.
Okay, so, as we already saw, Lindsay Lohan is the cover girl for the August issue of GQ Germany. And by “we already saw” I mean these hilarious paparazzi photos where you can see what Lindsay truly looked like during her photo shoot. It’s crazy how much they retouched her. See her freckles disappear and reappear! See her crackface morph!
Here’s Google Chrome’s translation of the Lohan Q & A (I tried to clean it up a bit, with some help from CB’s husband)… note: Lohan translated from English to German and then back to English is a trip. She sounds extra crackheaded.
GQ: Why do you want to play Linda Lovelace, Lindsay Lohan?
Lindsay Lohan: I was fascinated by the universality of the story: We tell of a woman who falls in love with a young age head-first into a man. And we speak of the realization that one of the true self of the other person often can recognize with difficulty when you are well and are still so blinded by love. Linda Lovelace story is tragic and comparable to the fate of many female Hollywood icons: You will find only to itself, as it is already too late.GQ: Are there aspects of Linda Lovelace life, Lohan also discovered in themselves? The uncertainties about, and in relations to other people, the permanent interest of the public?
Lindsay Lohan: Definitely. Everyone feels but sometimes more or less uncertain. I can identify myself with quite well, I admire Lovelace for their strength and that she has still managed to bounce at some point. , Deep Throat was a gift from heaven for them, even though the film was seen as controversial and discussed. Because he gave her the opportunity to finally break away from this monster.
GQ: How they will see the light of balance, so the movie does not start back?
Lindsay Lohan: By playing the raw scenes, but not in a vulgar way. Our film is not so much the raw sex and nudity, but more about showing how much anxiety they had. I want to show what was going on in her when she had to experience these moments. And that’s what the audience should also be able to understand at the end.GQ: Would like to describe their own perspective on life?
Lindsay Lohan: I, too, at the point of view in recent years have changed. When I started working in the industry, I wanted to come to the very top – and painted me everything is completely different than it actually is. Nowadays in Hollywood it’s so much more about celebrities and gossip, a fact that many great actors distract from their actual ability. For the public learns as much about these people and that gets superimposed on their work in movies.GQ: How do you handle it?
Lindsay Lohan: I love what I do, so I must be able to handle it.GQ: What exactly do you love about it?
Lindsay Lohan: I like to tell stories where people can learn something. And I like the principle of cinema: to put oneself in a dark room, hide from the world for a few hours and discover the similarities of the canvas itself. I love it so much that I will certainly not stop doing it, even if the circumstances change.GQ: How do you deal with the temptations that lurk seemingly around every corner in – and just lurking behind the paparazzi?
Lindsay Lohan: People believe, of course, what they read in the media. There are all the hair-raising stories that circulate about me every day and are supposed to tell people what I‘m really like. I read plenty of stories that never happened, and then get to hear: Oh, but you were so sweet but in ‘The parent trap’! But what I’m talking about: there are other people in Hollywood who feel like I do.GQ: The media conveys a wrong idea of who you really are?
Lindsay Lohan: Half of what is written about me is not true. Of course I’m still young, make mistakes and learn it, but that did not necessarily mean that all agree these stories.GQ: What stories?
Lindsay Lohan: The fact that I am at my end, have parties all the time. I still have a soul, don’t forget that.GQ: Why are they reporting that you are always partying?
Lohan: The media take their shots in only a second, and use that to interpret reality they way they want. when I sneeze, photos are published and it is said that I would cry. When I put my hand in front of my mouth and nose it is said that I have a terrible hangover after a long party night. It is unbelievable how bad it got.”**Also: at a GQ photo shoot a lot of paparrazis show eventually up and she covers her almost naked body behind a big towel and runs inside. she said “I don’t care that the get me topless but I don’t want them to take a picture of the Fussfessel (the ankle thing). That is the money shot”
[From GQ]
Okay, I don’t have anything else to say just because working out that translation of the translation was too time-consuming. Instead of reading a half-dozen more crackhead jokes, watch this sketchy video of Lindsay from GQ’s site:
gq-germany.html”>Design Scene. Additional pics from GQ Germany.
LOVE that title, can’t stop laughing
despite all the photoshop, she does photograph well. Makes a very pictorial model I think. Hope she survives her actual lifestyle.
Frolic is a well known brand of dog food in Germany. I had mango juice come out of my nose when I read that headline.
And the countdown to when Lilo says the europeans ‘get’ her begins in 3,2, 1….
“I like to tell stories where people can learn something. And I like the principle of cinema: to put oneself in a dark room, hide from the world for a few hours and discover the similarities of the canvas itself.”
Oh Hohan, you are so deep. BTW what movie did you make that I could learn something from?
It may be awkward due to the translation, but it’s the same crap she always says about how it’s all the media’s fault and she’s focused on her work while they’re blowing her partying out of proportion, etc.
Hope they burned that poor guitar afterward….
Oy vey! Naked with a guitar, yet?
I am running Chrome…I had no idea I could translate something with it. Anybody know how to do it??
@ Kaiser/Celebitchy:
Actually, I think the translation ENHANCES the article! I love it! It provides us with a somewhat “refreshing” angle to her same old crap. Thank you for taking the time to translate – it was worth it!
@ Kaboom – LMAO @ that!
Well….. at least she still takes a decent photo (USUALLY).
@Jackson – when you go to a site in another language, wait a few moments and at the top of the screen a pop-down will appear asking if you want to translate.
@Bellaluna – Chrome did most of the translation and the more coherent parts are thanks to my husband. Thanks!
A will-be-pornostar. That’s what she is now, and the photos don’t help her.
Ha ha ha ha ha 😀
the media portray her to be a certain way and people believe that. of course im sure half of her persona is true, but the other half is what the media makes it out to be. sure she deserves some jail time because she did the crimes, but people take what they say in the media (such as that she does coke or meth) and then turn it into this everlasting ‘methface’ joke that doesn’t even apply anymore. i dont see any methface in her in this photoshoot. she looks gorgeous, but because of the media, people will never admit to it until she goes to rehab, even though rehab doesnt always solve problems. she’ll look exactly the same when she comes out, she just might put on a little weight and be sober (hopefully).
I’m with marge. Cracky wacky as she is, she still can photograph well. She’s still lovely when she isn’t strung out and unstyled.
I’ve never seen an actor do so much press for a movie that hasn’t even begun production
I love how her bellybutton grows in size and moves several inches south from the second photo to the fourth.
Her belly button is really oddly high
All those who think she photographs really well – its called PHOTOSHOP
Photoshop can do wonders for drug & alcohol abuse topped with botox & fillers that is Lindsay’s current face…
.. Continues sharply upward, with films like “Freaky Friday”, “Mean Girls” and “Herbie Fully Loaded” it is the idol of an entire teen generation, the All-American Girl, the dreams of all young people lives. Lohan collected $ 7,500,000 at that time per roll,
page 3. 7.5 million per role. and she’s broke?
Ok did they photoshop out her belly button in the first pic? Its way high in the other one, I don’t see how the suit would possibly cover it. That first pic looks odd.
Wasn’t that photo shoot supposed to be for Vogue?
Did they not possess the photo shopping abilities and skills GQ had to put to use?
@ Marge & Snowball: Yes, she photographs well because she was a total over-the-top knockout up until 2006. Photoshop can bring that back easily, because the facial features are still there.
That’s also the sole reason she got as far as she got with her addictions + attitude. Until her whole hijacking, car-chasing, ‘it was the black kid’s fault’, ‘not my pants’, ‘nothing’s gonna happen to me – I’m a celebrity’ came down, I, too, was rooting for her.
Then it became clear that she’s truly just formerly incredible beautiful (and charming), but no substance of character or personality whatsoever.
“I don’t care that the get me topless but I don’t want them to take a picture of the Fussfessel (the ankle thing). That is the money shot”
If “Fussfessel” hadn’t been translated, I would have thought that was her…uh… you know.
She may be a crack head but girl looks good in those pics
Wow – that guitar photo is so original!
Seriously – how many times can the SAME picture be done?!
I do like that beige bikini though….If I have to say something nice.
I agree with Lindsay — she looks gorgeous!
“I love how her bellybutton grows in size and moves several inches south from the second photo to the fourth.”
That may have more to do with the fact that in one pose she is standing, in the other she is crouching. It does change your abdominal anatomy a little. yep
She STILL is a really beautiful girl. Now that she’s cut back on the booze and god knows what else, and she’s hydrated, her skin is looking so much better. And you can see her eyes in most photos!
So, did they photoshop out her Fussfessel? God, I love that word. Fussfessel… too bad I have no real opportunity to use it since I don’t know anyone with a SCRAM/Fussfessel.
Tut mir leid. My German ain’t what it used to be and looks increasingly foreign to me.
@ Mollination
Here, here! I totally on the same wavelength as I was just thinking that I’m really tired of seeing this guitar pose with people who can’t play. Old and trite.
RE: the bow & arrow pic-
Is it just me, or is her belly button much higher than it should be? It doesn’t look right.
At one point in the interview she says, “Of course I’m still young, make mistakes and learn from it”. Are you kidding? She hasn’t learned that if you violate probation, you go to jail! Stop lying, Lindsay!
Why is her belly button so high?
she doesn’t even have a bellybutton in the first pic. No she doesn’t look good. Someone did way to much work to her face and got tired when they reached her navel. It’s called graphic design, people.
What are they doing to her bellybutton? In the first, it’s non-existent. In the other, it’s so high!
The author coated a number curious issues on this article. I discovered this by looking Msn and I’ve got to admit that I’m now subscribed on your blog web site, it is very good
