I bought Life & Style this week for the cover story about “Why Sandra is Taking Jesse Back.” There wasn’t much new information in the article, which seemed to be solely based on the known facts that Jesse is moving to Austin to be near Sandra, and that he recently won a custody battle to be able to take his six year-old daughter, Sunny, with him. There were some bogus-sounding “insider” quotes about it, like “Sandra will never fully get over the way Jesse betrayed her… But he did give her the family she’s always wanted. And because of that, she’s able to forgive him,” and “It’s going to take some time. She’s very worried about what people will think if she takes Jesse back too fast. So she’s keeping it all about her children. That’s her excuse to see him.”

Judging from the very classy way that Sandra addressed her then-husband’s infidelity in her People interview, it’s hard to tell exactly how she feels about Jesse or if she’s considering a reconciliation. It’s probably safe to assume that there are no leaks in Sandra’s inside circle (apart from Jesse’s ex, Janine Lindemulder, who is deliberately kept out of the loop) as we never heard a peep about her adoption of little Louis until she was ready to make the announcement. We also know that Sandra and Jesse’s divorce is final, so they’ve made the split legal even if they’ve made up behind closed doors.

Now Radar Online has a new report to quash all those rumors that Sandra and Jesse are keeping their reunion under wraps. They quote a source who says that Sandra has “absolutely no intention of getting back together with Jesse, ever.” My hopes are up since Radar’s sources are usually pretty solid.

Jesse recently won a court victory against ex wife Janine Lindemulder, allowing him to take their daughter Sunny to Austin, Texas, where Bullock has a home and is spending much of her time. Jesse is moving because he wants his children to continue their relationship with Bullock and also because he hopes that he can reunite with Sandra.

Bullock did not try to dissuade Jesse from moving. “The only reason that Sandy gave the green light to Jesse move to Austin was because she wants to maintain a relationship with his children,” the source told RadarOnline.com. “Sandy loves those children but she has absolutely no intention of getting back together with Jesse, ever.

“She wanted the divorce done quickly, so that she could move on with her life.”

Jesse was caught cheating with Michelle “Bombshell” McGee and then several other women revealed their affairs with him.

Sandra’s main focus is on being a full-time mom to adopted son Louis, and having an active role in her step-children’s lives.

“Sandy is civil to Jesse for the sake of the children, that is it,” the source said. “If there were no children, Sandy would have nothing to do with him, period. And he knows that.”

Sadly for Sandra, she’ll have to see Jesse’s douche pit bull face when she wants to see her stepkids, but that’s no different than millions of women around the world dealing with their exes and custody. It’s a testament to how strong and magnanimous she is that she was willing to have him move closer to her. I would have liked to see an official statement from her camp denying a reunion and stating that the divorce shows her true feelings on the matter, but this will do.

By the way, Sandra’s 46th birthday was yesterday. I wish I knew the name of her dermatologist as I would pay big bucks to look a fraction as youthful and natural as she does. Don’t tell me it’s all hydration and sunscreen, either.
