After a whirlwind second engagement and an even faster second breakup, Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston have finally concluded their intense legal battle over custody of their son Tripp, and the child support payments Levi was supposed to be paying Bristol. According to Radar and other sources, the basic gist of their agreement now stands at: Bristol retaining primary custody, with two days a week visitation for Levi, plus Levi has to pay Bristol a percentage based on calculated earnings of $72,000 a year. I think most judges would recommend about 15% for child support, correct? So it would probably be somewhere in the $10,000-15,000 a year range, that’s my guess. Oh, and neither Bristol nor Levi can bitch and moan about the other one in front of Tripp.
After calling off the engagement for a second time, Bristol Palin and her baby daddy Levi Johnston have come to an agreement regarding custody of their 19-month-old son Tripp.
RadarOnline.com has learned that custody of Tripp was awarded jointly in papers filed Friday afternoon, but Bristol will retain primary custody while Levi will get two days a week to visit with his son – Saturdays and Wednesdays.
“A judge will still need to approve this settlement for the case to be finalized,” Wendy Lyford, Court Administrator in Alaska told RadarOnline.com. Lynford said that a judge can modify the stipulations if they choose to do so.
According to the court papers obtained by RadarOnline.com, Levi’s earnings are estimated at $72,000 per year and “the earning capacity shall be used to calculate [his] child support obligation.”
Furthermore, the paperwork states that “the child shall receive positive reinforcement about each party and that the child has the right to be free of negative comments by one parent about the other.”
If Levi and Bristol should happen to get engaged for a third time, the papers address a marriage by saying that “when, or if, the parties get married to one another this shall constitute a change of circumstances.”
Following their second breakup Bristol told RadarOnline.com, “Perhaps I was naïve but I really thought Levi was ready. This [second engagement] was about doing what was best for Tripp and making us a family.”

Bristol also told People Magazine that “I got played” in regards to Levi’s professed desire to marry again. It turns out his devotion to Bristol and Tripp were less about wanting to be a family and more about Levi wanting to sell his reality show. I guess it’s good that Bristol and Levi got this thing finalized and everything, and let this be a lesson to young women everywhere: you know that cool dude in high school? The one that you’re like, “He’s so hot, a condom doesn’t matter!” Just think about this: in a few years, that cool high school guy is going to be a loser, and you’ll be stuck with him for years if you have his baby. A condom sounds like the better option, right?
Okay, someone help me out. He earns $72,000 a year? WTF?! I have a Master’s Degree and I have never been able to find a job that pays that much. What does he do for a living? Does he even have a GED? Forget about the education, does he have skills and a job? He knocked up a politician’s daughter and earns that much for….what’s his job again? Damn, I’m playing the wrong game.
I may totally despise her mom, but I do feel sorry for the girl. This mistake isn’t uncommon but having the guy demonstrate what a massive douche he is in the national tabloids must be horrible.
He may earn 72,000 NOW, but his 15 minutes are ticking down and then he’ll make nothing. If he were smart at all, he would get an education.
That being said, I’d still hit that. WITH a condom.
I don’t know if this has been said before, but I really don’t think that baby looks like either of them. I wonder if Levi has ever requested a DNA test?
Katie, I’m with you on that one. 😉
Oh that baby is so cute! I just want to squeeze his widdle cheeks! 🙂
The papers should state that “family members” (ahem, Sarah) can not make negative comments regarding either parent in front of the child either.
