First of all, the Photoshop on Teresa Giudice is AMAZING. What the f-ck did they do to her? She looks like Andie McDowell, right? Anyway, CB already covered the hilarious/sad RHONJ renunion show, in which there was possibly some extreme drama about a possible love child for Teresa Giudice’s husband, which I guess we’re now calling a “nephew.” CB covered it in detail here for a refresher. Anyway, In Touch Weekly “scored” a cover with Teresa in which she seems to be going on the record about her bankruptcy and Joe’s possible infidelity. So far, ITW hasn’t released the part where Teresa talks about Joe’s affair though – instead, this is just about their bankruptcy and how dumb they are:
For Teresa Giudice, it was like living a nightmare. After ten years as the big-spending wife of a successful real estate developer, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star was being told by a lawyer that she and her husband, Joe, were $11 million in debt — and needed to file for bankruptcy as soon as possible.
“I was humiliated,” she tells In Touch in an exclusive interview.
Not to mention shocked. Kept out of the loop regarding Joe’s business dealings, Teresa, 37, had no idea they were in so much financial trouble until that fateful day in the lawyer’s office.
“Joe thought things were going to get better,” she explains. But they got worse and worse in more ways than one. After that initial shock, Teresa saw her lavish tastes scrutinized and mocked. And her alleged $60,000 spending spree on home furnishings — which reportedly took place right after she and Joe declared bankruptcy — didn’t win her many supporters. When Teresa stated her case on The View, insisting that she’s now living within her means, Joy Behar replied, “How can you live within your means if you’re now $11 million in bankruptcy?”
These days, though, Joe has taken control of the finances, doing all the grocery shopping and imposing a limit on Teresa’s credit cards. And he doesn’t mind: “I want to save more.” While the girls used to always have brand new clothes, they now wear each other’s hand-me-downs — easy, since they’re all growing so fast.
“Me and my husband have learned a lot from our mistakes,” Teresa shares, adding that, as heartbreaking as it is, bankruptcy does have a silver lining. “It’s brought us closer together.”

If I can wager a guess, I’m going to predict that Teresa skims the issue of Joe’s affair with a comment like, “Maybe we weren’t so close a year ago, but we’re doing really good now.” Survey says: love child! Regarding the bankruptcy and all of that though: she doesn’t really tell all about anything, or really explain how and why you would spend $11 million on crap when you don’t have any money coming in. I am just thrilled we are talking about a cover a magazine that does not involve the Kardashians. Seriously its grotesque and out of control, I went to buy a magazine the other day and strived for one with out their faces or story about their SUPER thrilling life and I was hard up. Do you think Teresa is about to allow her husbands infidelity to be made public? She can do very little about the financial stuff in her life, as it is of public record, BUT the cheating stuff can be easily denied and covered up, and that is what they are doing. Teresa is not about to let the truth about her seemingly perfect marriage come out, especially when everything Danielle has said along the way, has been basically true.

I don’t know why, but I watched the Bravo marathon of the RHWONJ this past weekend (it was also my first time watching the show). I guess it was like watching a train wreck – I couldn’t take my eyes off of the TV. I can’t believe that people so cheap, tacky, and ridulously stupid actually exist. And to be $11 million in debt for no good reason? That’s why this country is in the shape it’s in. I still can’t believe the money Teresa forked out for the youngest daughter’s christening party. I am a fan of the show…and all this past season…Danielle was made out to be this dillusional nutbag..which I agree she seemed to be…but I have to agree with those that saw her as the victim on that reunion show. Even the host had loaded questions for her..that always put her in a bad light. The other three women had the advantage which I thought was wrong. Theresa gives Italians a bad name. She goes deaf, blind and dumb when any subject that puts her on the spot, came up with vague, evasive answers. Does she kiss her kids with that mouth? Wow the language was horrific! Whether Joe cheated on her or not..she’s still a low class broad whose husband gave her a bank account to blow. Danielle is no doubt a fluzzie…but Theresa seems a lot more classless with her cheasy clothes..fake boobs and bling. “What are you gonna give me for our anniversary..it better be some thing big.” Who says that except a selfish, self centered person looking to impress with material things? The show will be dull without Danielle and all her drama…so I wonder if there will be any real reason to watch it this season.
Teresa come from a “green horn” Italian Family. That means simply, her parents are off the boat and they still think NJ is Italy. She is a spoiled ginny brat who was never told NO. Joe obviously could never say no either. Teresa has a major spending problem and needs professional help. She is also attention seeking. Her spending is over the top and she seems to have NO bounderies when it comes to money and material things. I cant wait for the love child story to come out in the papers.
Actually…and I am surprised no one has mentioned this, it actually is a NEPHEW. Apparently, Teresa has a brother who married an african american woman, which her family, or at least her hardcore Italian old school parents, shunned him for. Guessing Teresa didnt want Danielle to go one step further and bring that up on TV. They had a kid just recently…hence the nephew talk. Check out Teresa’s blog on Bravo.com. Heard she addresses it.

To answer the question of who would give the Giudices a credit card? Apparently it is even easier to obtain credit cards right after claiming a bankruptcy…because one who claims bankruptcy cannot file/claim bankruptcy again for a certain number of years…so this is the best time to extend credit because they KNOW they will be paid.

I want to tell you that I live here in the same town as Tara (Joe’s sicilian sidedish)and I can’t take another second of this.
Joe & Tara (or Beppe and Petit) have been together for a while. I spoke with her friend Alex who said they are all disgusted and surprised at the relationship. Tara comes from a wealthy and well connected family. Her father is a crazy sicilian.

I think almost all of the above comments are very harsh. I do not know this family personally; however, just from watching the show.. they seem to be a very loving close family. I am from the south, so I really started watching it because of the accents and the differences between people that live up north and us that live in the south. It appears to me though that they are a very close italian family and I could only wish to be in a close family/friendship like that. Also, if Teresa does has a mixed newphew..so what? I am white and have a black husband and live in Georgia, I thought it was supposed to be more accepted up north. We are all people, we can’t help who we fall in love with. It is 2010, live and let live, sweep around your own front door before you worry about mine or theirs. One more thing, Teresa is a beautiful woman and all of her girls are adorable.

It does appear that your post is correct. I didn’t realize Joe was planning on leaving Teresa. During the last few shows, it did seem like he was tired of her. He should be very lucky to be with Tara. Maybe he thinks this will solve his money problems.
