FREE T.I.!!!! My boy T.I. got arrested AGAIN. In 2007, he was charged with two feleonies – possession of three unregistered MACHINE GUNS (and silencers!) and possession of firearms by a convicted felon. Those were federal charges by the way – ATF got involved! Anyway, T.I. just got out of Club Fed (Arkansas’s low-security prison) less than a year ago – he had to stay in a half-way house for several months, but since March, he’s been back in the game. He’s been doing some interviews and he married his longtime girlfriend Tameka “Tiny” Cottle. Tiny was with him last night, and they both got busted for possession of a controlled substance.
The honeymoon is over for T.I. and his wife Tameka Cottle because TMZ has learned they were arrested tonight and booked for the alleged possession of a controlled substance.
Law enforcement sources tell us L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over the multi-platinum selling rapper and his wife in a Maybach on Sunset Boulevard around 10:18PM. Deputies say they smelled marijuana.
When searching the vehicle cops found a controlled substance. Law enforcement sources tell us the controlled substance was not cocaine, but rather the class of controlled substance that triggered the arrest includes methamphetamines and ecstasy.
The couple just got married on July 30 in Miami, and T.I. — real name Clifford Harris Jr. — is on probation after doing seven months in prison on federal weapons charges.
Law enforcement sources say both T.I. and Tameka were booked on felony possession of a controlled substance.
We’re told T.I. and Tameka are in custody right now. Bail amount is $10,000.
UPDATE: T.I. and Tameka were released around 4:00AM.

I can’t believe he was this STUPID to even be in the company of someone that was smoking weed and taking other drugs.
He was facing 10 years in prison for the weapon charges and he got a plea deal were he got 1 year and a day of prison time and only served 7 months and spent the other 2 in a halfway house. 1 year of electronic monitoring/house arrest during which he completed 1000 hours of community service. After his release he still had to do 500 hours of community service.
I can’t believe he went through all that to get the plea deal and now he is facing 3 years in prison because he violated his probation by doing something as idiotic as this.
A man this pretty should be taking every precaution to stay OUT of jail.

I saw the Behind the Music with TI and it totally changed my opinion of him. He’s a super-nice guy, lost a friend in a drive by shooting because him and his friend tried to help a stranger who was getting beat up at a bar. He’s made some bad choices and he even admitted the guns got out of control. But after he’d seen the law fail him many times over, he started protecting his family the only way he knew how after he started getting death threats from the same people that killed his friend.
Anyway-I wish he’d get his shit together for his wife and family! He’s got lots of talent and drive if he could just channel it the right way.

Pot should obviously be legal, so I’ve got no problems there. But “free your boy TI”? Jesus. He’s a hypocrite. He’s a thug. He’s not even remotely intelligent. They should throw away the key, so we never have to hear another self righteous interview with him again. I honestly don’t have a problem with any drugs; it’s his body and it should be his business. But he parades around in schools telling kids not to do drugs and talks about how unfair his life is. He’s so irrelevant. I’d never heard of him until he got a VH1 show and got locked up. I just watched TMZ, and they have pictures of him and his wife getting arrested and sitting in a police car. They also had pictures of the inside of his car as well as it getting towed away.
