It’s been forever since we’ve had a good Gwyneth Paltrow story! She went on a Goop holiday for all of August, so the peasants basically had NO IDEA what to wear, eat, go or think for like six whole weeks. Plus, Gwyneth didn’t ever deign us with her presence out in public – God knows where she was all that time. Perhaps getting a little work done? Because she looks a little bit tweaked in these photos – she went out in London last night, stepping out to support her friend Stella McCartney, who was doing something or the other (what do I know?).
One very notable thing about these new Gwyneth photos – she looks really good. Fresh and pretty and… showing off her bra in a very low-cut crisp white blouse. Goopy boobs! It also looks like she’s wearing some kind of windbreaker cape-let? Weird. I thought Dame Goopy would break out in hives at the mere glance of synthetic fabrics, but the windbreaker is probably designed by Stella, and synthetic is okay as long as it costs a thousand dollars. But why the showing of the bra? I can’t believe Gwyneth would deign to pull such an uncouth, trashy move… almost Lohan-esque. Is Gwyneth trying to sex it up a bit? She has an agenda, trust me. I’m just too much of a peasant to understand it now.
Maybe she’s trying to get her husband’s attention? God knows where Chris Martin is. Although, I have to admit, I thought we’d be hearing about her split from Chris at this point in the program. I was wrong – Gwyneth and Chris saved their marriage. Good for them? Sure.
Also, her Goop newsletter this week – it’s all about fall fashion and shopping. Goopy is smart enough to give us a list of the “budget” looks we should be buying this season, all reasonably affordable save the odd Stella McCartney four-figure purchase suggestion. Gwyneth also did a video with some “friends” at a shop to talk, anthropologist-like, about what the peasants should wear. Chuckle… that really is what Gwyneth is like now, an anthropologist of peasants. She’s trying to learn from us, people! She’s studying how we live, so that she can suggest ways to make our little lives better. Anyway, the video… my favorite part is when Gwyneth says “okay” in this absolutely condescending, snotty way when she’s told the women are “J.Crew obsessed.” Enjoy:

I disagree– I think she looks sooooo masculine and hard.She has always been overrated as a beauty and style icon AND as an actress.
Seriously, she’s such a good looking woman, why does she not do something to smooth her skin texture a little? It’s simple micro dermoabrasion, not that invasive or expensive.
Of course the bra being visible is intentional–her lipstick matches it.
Fashion FAIL.

That has got to be the least sexy bra peep ever. You have to admire her ability to squeeze the fun out of absolutely ANYTHING.
There were pics of her and the kids on the beach in the Hamptons with Jay-Z last month. So that’s where she was on her Holiday Away from the Peasants.
In the past 4-5 mos. her looks have gone downhill. Skin, too skinny, red face, hair that does nothing for her….can’t exactly put my finger on it.
I never cared for the way Goopy dresses, don’t like her style. I bet it cost serious money to look this kind of cheap.

Thing is, I remember seeing some footage of her from shortly after the birth of one of her kids, and the extra weight had almost supernatural effects. She does herself the disservice of disservices by remaining so thin and drawn.

As a peasant I wouldn’t be interested in any of her lifestyle advice because most of it is just plain, simple commonsense – something we peasants must have in droves in order to survive on a daily basis.
I MIGHT listen to some of her food advice, I hear she’s an amazing cook.
Ever since I saw her on “The Marriage Ref” I have adored her all over again. I just think her voice is a little nasally, therefore it comes across as snotty. I was called snob at times in HS because I was shy and a bit reserved, so it annoys me when people say that about someone they don’t even know personally. I know she is not out constantly trying to save the world, but give the girl a break!
P.S. I also disagree with the GP not being a good actress thing.

Never got her as ‘beautiful’ she has some pretty features yes, but I was always surprised when someone referred to her as beautiful. Overall she is uninteresting to look at with a milk toast personality.
She looks just like her mom when her mom was her age. I saw an old episode of “Columbo” and Gwen’s mom was a co-star, and I swear, I could have mistaken her for Gwen.

I really, really wish she would quit bleaching out her eyebrows to match her “naturally blonde” hair. It does her a disservice. I have been a natural blonde since birth and have always had eyebrows that contrasted by haircolor (i.e., my eyebrows are darker blonde/lt. brunette). I still need a little brow powder to see them completely though. Just a “goopy” tip for Gwynnie from a blonde peasant. LOL.
She definitely has had dermabrasion, Botox, or something else done. Let’s face it, she’s not a spring chicken anymore.

Wow, what’s wrong with her face in that first picture? She definitely looks different than she did in the last set of pics. Perhaps she had some filler done? The last time I saw images of her, there were forehead lines galore; this time, there are none to be seen.
Apart from the pink bra peep show, I think she is a good-looking woman.
