Let’s just talk about The State of the Weave first, shall we? These are photos of Britney Spears out and about yesterday in LA. Now, just a few days ago we saw that Britney’s weave/extensions were back to looking like a hot mess. Not as bad as a few months ago, but still hideous and gross. When Britney stepped out yesterday, the hot mess still continued, although it did look clean like Britney is trying to do something with it. I think she had new extensions put in too – but now she’s got a mullet appearance. Like she’s growing out her bangs trauma and the rest of her hair/extensions are too long:
Listen to me, Brit. Just cut it all off. Give yourself a little pixie cut, or even shave your head again. No one will judge you. We already think you’re crazy, so why not just start with a clean hair slate? And beyond the busted mullet, Brit does look pretty good. All of her parts are covered up, she’s wearing a nice blouse and a bra. It was a good day.
On other Brit-Brit news, her episode of Glee comes on next week. Here’s the promo for it. I’m not even sure which one is Britney, honestly.
Cute? Sure. I actually love that Britney gets some television work every now and then. It’s great that they let her come on Glee, and I bet she had a great time.

Extensions are the devil. Yes, there are lovely ones, but after time, they do ruin your real hair. Why can’t women just grow their hair out? I love naturally long hair. I have it. Two years ago I but 8 inches off. Now my hair is practically(not quite) longer than it was. Eat healthy, take care of your hair, and it grows very quickly.

I’m not even going to comment on the mullet hair. It obviously needs to be fixed. What I have a problem with is her wrinkly see-through shirt. Seriously, how hard is it to put on a cami and have your clothes ironed. Can’t she at least get someone on her staff to steam the wrinkles out. Gees…
I agree with Fluffy Kitten Tail. It’s not rocket science. I eat healthy, get plenty of sleep, and look after my hair, and it grows fast. Past my waist now and thinking of cutting it and donating for cancer wigs.
You’d think with all her money she would have beautiful hair…don’t’ understand.

I could be wrong but the Britney episode looks like a video not a show. Maybe it’s because they’re recreating the videos instead of intergrating the songs into the storyline. Frankly I think this is a bad stunt. It’s one thing to do Madonna but doing Britney seems tacky and a step backwards.
Is her real hair too short to just take the weave out? My god, that thing looks like a cat crawled up on her head and stayed there.

I’m not a celebrity. I’m not rich. But????????? I have long, lovely hair and people – strangers even! – compliment me. It’s like others above have said – eat right, take care of your hair and you too can have nice hair, not something that looks like it just crawled out of a sewer and nested on your head. Just do it, Brit, just do it.

As I mentioned before, I’d bet that she is a hair-puller. This is an obsessive-compulsive disorder -medical terminology is Trichotillomania. This is the only thing that explains the scrappy semi-bald appearance of her own hair. As a sufferer myself I feel for her. In a short period of pulling you decimate your appearance and hair, of course, takes months to grow back. She is deluding herself with these extensions but there is nothing she can do to actually look good at this point in the disorder If she stops getting extensions and just goes with her own hair, the bald areas will show. I wish she would have the courage to do so and bring this nasty disorder into the light.

I’m going with Trichotillomania now as well. The way her hair underneath often looks spirally and tufted (when she hasn’t had her hair done in awhile) makes me thing she’s pulling her extensions and real hair out.
I mean look at the bottom pic – you can see where she’s already been having a go at it right in the middle under her real hairline.

Yeah, she has some noticeable bald patches on her crown, that is why she won’t wear her natural hair. The hair pulling thing rings true, Shelley – explains why her hair is always such a rat’s nest. Either that or it’s something hormonal making her hair thin – maybe her medications?
If she didn’t have the busted weave she’d be boring. Can’t have our Brit be a bore.
Obviously her hairdresser does not know too much about weaves. What Britney needs to do is get it sewn in. That way, her entire hair will be one length. She can also cut and style it. That half weave that she’s rocking has got to go. Also just because its not your own hair, does not mean that you should not take care of it. A regular wash with some sheen will do wonders for the weave.
Every single person on the planet is saying get rid of the extensions and let it grow so why can’t she just take the advice and save CB the time wasted on writing about the poor girls hair.

I just cannot believe that THAT is all her hair has grown out since the head shaving several years ago. I can grow my hair that much in 5 months!! I mean, she can’t actually have someone cutting it like that and sticking fake hair under it. Maybe it’s so damaged from the bleaching that it’s breaking off or something. Anyway…I agree…it’s disgusting and makes no sense.

i really don’t understand how she can go around looking like that when she has all that money to fix it! if she paid to have shit extensions put in or if they were put in and were ruined, she should just get them fixed! i mean, who cares what her hair really looks like whether it’s blonde or brown or long or short, but when it’s clearly fake and clearly a terrible job, and she is a millionaire who is always in the spotlight for her crazy antics, i don’t see why this would not be something she would fix right away!

I don’t understand the strong hate for her. Even if she was unattractive and busted looking which she’s not she’s just needs to be polished up, so what? When does somebody looking less then best while minding their own business picking up some food deserve so much hate?
I could understand if she was running around like before but she’s minding her own business not bothering anybody, not working.
I just wish I were her friend so I could gently tell her she needs to fix this. Like yesterday. With all of her money why isn’t she doing something with this? I can only hope she realizes how bad it looks and either shaves it right off and starts fresh or finds a good hairdresser in the interim.
I wish her carers wouldn’t let her out in public where people can see what she is doing to herself. Her mental illness obviously causes her to pull out her hair, she also continues to bite her nails right down, not the sign of a well person.
Seriously, you could tie one hand behind my back, blindfold me, spin me around 500 times, and I’d still pin my own weave in better than this. Also, when you have a neck like Herschel Walker, you should never play it up with the necklaces your tater tots scored from the vending machine outside of the Dollar Tree.

Weaves are ugly, but fake boobs are too and she’s got a set of those as well.

She doesn’t need to cut it all off. She could just cut the extension hair shorter yet a bit longer than her natural hair and wa-la ’80 punk chick. It’ll suit her too. She has the face and attitude for the glam rock look. Just look at all the awesome J-rock hair styles… they’re pretty cool. Brit should also do protein treatments once a month to prevent any more hair falling off due to over-processed hair dyes.:)
in all honesty no one on here probably does hair, but i do. give the girl a break. she shaved her head after having all her own hair. none of you know what its like to be a celebrity i’d bet her hair doesnt grow that fast naturally and her stress level doesnt help. even if you take proper care of your hair everyones growth rate is different i have a pixie cut im currently growing out and its like snails crawling and yes i used to have longer than collar bone length. if you’ve never cut all your hair off after having long hair and when i say cut it off i mean 3 inches or less then you really cant say you wouldnt want extensions too. brit just needs a better extension stylist. one that knows how to blend a hair cut.
