These are the slightly decent-quality ads from Jennifer Lopez’s new ad campaign for Gucci – she stars in the ads with her twins, Max and Emme. This is the twins’ modeling debut! I think Emme is the one with the full head of curly hair. Now, I’m not saying that Jennifer’s babies were in any way unattractive a year ago, but I will say that the babies have really grown into their looks, and they are now quite adorable. Right? I can see Jennifer in them now. So cute. And this ad campaign is working in conjunction with Gucci’s continued support of UNICEF:
Could this be the most adorable designer ads we’ve ever spotted? Jennifer Lopez stars alongside her two-year-old twins, Max and Emme, who make their modelling debut in Gucci’s campaign to launch its brand new childrenswear.
Shot by Mert and Marcus in Malibu, the amazing shots show the family hitting the beach, with little Max and Emme clad in their Gucci finest.
The new collection will be available in two age ranges, from 0-2 years, and 2-8 years, and will include everything from sunglasses to shoes, blankets and clothing.
Naturally, mum wasn’t missing out in the stylish action, and looks stunning in a selection of Gucci ready-to-wear.
To coincide with the launch, Gucci continues its support UNICEF and has pledged to donate $1 million to its schools for Africa initiative, with $250k of the pledge in la Lopez’s name.
“It’s the first time I have worked with my kids in that way,” Lopez, 40, tells the new Us Weekly (on newsstands now). “It was a totally special experience.”
In honor of the collection (with pieces ranging from $80 to $1,600, in stores in November), Gucci donated $1 million to UNICEF’s Schools for Africa initiative and $50,000 to Lopez’s charity the Maribel Initiative, which promotes greater access to health care for women and children worldwide.
“It’s exactly why I’m excited to be a part of this,” says Lopez, who admits she and husband Marc Anthony were hesitant to have their kids participate until they learned of the charity connection. “Now there are two Gucci spokesbabies for a beautiful cause!”
Lopez tells Us the twins “had fun” posing.
“I did a photo shoot when they were 3 weeks old, but now that they are 2 1/2, it’s totally different!” Emme is already showing signs of a fashionista.
Says mom, “Emme picks out her own outfits and likes to sleep in her princess dress.” As for her son, Lopez admits, “It’s hard to get Max dressed. He prefers to run around the house with no clothes on.”

The kids are naturals. Jennifer is the one I worry about. There’s something so wrong about seeing her with her kids, WHILE she makes her “sexy face”. Oh, Jennifer. You don’t have to put your “model face” on for this campaign, honey.

OMG Sooo cute. 😀 I like Jen’s model face. I am glad she didn’t look to “mommy”, Gucci is high end fashion and I think Jen is giving a fashion face. I love it. The kids are cute and I never judges kids on how they look but they are certainly growing up and they look adorable.

I think the sexyface may be what Gucci wanted. 1600$ children’s clothing are not for the mothers who smile and play with their kids- they shop at Boden or Nordies. People who will buy Gucci children’s clothing make their sexyface all day long while a nanny comes and plays and smiles with the kids. And who better to exemplify the I’m too sexy for my kids look than J Lo? And this is not a dig on her, I love her and think she is fabulous.

The kids are super adorable, but I would have preferred to see Jennifer being more playful and silly, like she is enjoying her time with her kids, and not worrying about being sexy. Although, I doubt there is a time where she isn’t worrying about being sexy.

@margie – Too true. The girl is absolutely adorable and the boy is cute but I fear he will look just like his dad. Hopefully the little lady will take after her mom. And she does not look engaged with them at all and I don’t believe for a second she has ever lost one night of sleep over those kids.
Yeah thank God. JLO has really pretty features it would be a shame if the kids didn’t take them on too. They are looking real good these days. Jen’s genes are taking over hahahaha.

Her children are very cute and they look like fun, happy kids. I totally agree that her “sexy poses” clash with the carefree, casual nature of the kids. She’s kind of a clueless dingbat and will never “get it.” This would’ve been a good opportunity to pose in a more breezy, casual, enjoying-her-kids kind of way. But no – as usual, it’s all about her!
JLo doesn’t look like the same person to me as she did before — she looks like the cousin of JLo — related but not the same person. Also agree the “face” doesn’t match the photo shoot. She should have just smiled and had fun with her kids — it would have made the photos work better because they would have more charm.
But the kids are adorable and while All babies are cute (just being tiny & a baby gets you to “cute” imo) I know what you mean Kaiser — not all babies are pretty & JLo’s were not the prettiest of babies. Totally beautiful now, though.

I would say Max is looking like his daddy (a better version of course!) and Emme looks like her mommy. I like the middle picture best, they all look beautiful.

OMG, really? She should be playing with the kids or engaging them or done this or that? It’s Gucci that decided what to do, not JLo. Awful photoshop Gucci is throwing away a lot of bucks on this no talent when they could have gotten a better looking model at a fraction of the cost. Jlo can’t act, sing, has no personality, dropped from her label because no-one wants to hear her music, but she is still cashing in big time. I’m from the old school – a true star doesn’t need to stoop to product endorsements because their music and/or acting are more than enough, but I guess those days are long gone. Can you say greedy for no purpose. They ARE her accessories! She has 5 or 6 nannies at one time(can’t keep them for more than a few months), never spends any one on one time with them and probably has never changed a diaper.

If Chanel contacted me and asked me to be in an ad, I’d be there in a heartbeat. If the shoot was surrounded by little baby kittens and bunnies and the Chanel people said, “ignore the insanely cute baby animals and give the camera Blue Steel,” I’d ignore the animals because Chanel told me to.

JLO and her kids look all cute and beautiful because they are photoshopped for that Gucci Ad, and if she had any “natural” maternal instincts toward her children it would show, but apparently she’s so disconnected from them in real life that she couldn’t help but concentrate on HER pose for this photoshoot, and how SHE looked. Its all about JLO seeking fame and attention for herself, so she can’t even fake showing affection for her children.

@Lee. That’s all for show and part of the GUCCI photoshoot. She’s being photographed while interacting with her children because she’s getting paid to do it.
There is also a video out there when after the photoshoot, she put a hat on and drove off in a car with Marc Anthony, WITHOUT her children. Once that photoshoot was over and JLO made her money, those kids go right back to the nannies.
@Tobie. I don’t know if I believe that and if it happened for all we know it’s because she had an appointment for AI or some other thing or the kids’ safety. Who knows but I do believe she loves her kids and is family oriented, Puerto Rican style too 🙂
