Empress Zahara has found something that struck her fancy. Take notes, minions. Brad and Angelina took the Empress and little Pax out on the town over the weekend – they’re still in Budapest, and I guess Angelina had a short break in her directing schedule. So Brad and Angelina took Pax and Zahara to Lukacs Thermal Bath – I believe they’re coming out of the thermal bath in these photos. Zahara looks highly amused! She also looks like she’s working some angle with her mom, like she’s trying to charm a trip to McDonalds out of mama. Fame Pictures does note that the four Jolie-Pitts did go to McDonalds, and I personally think it was the Empress’s initiative (hustle) that got everybody some chicken nuggets. Did you take that down? Empress Zahara approves of thermal baths and chicken nuggets and/or French fries.
Meanwhile, Pax looked upset and/or mid-tantrum coming out of the thermal baths. CB pointed out that Pax probably didn’t want to leave, and that it was probably like an awesome heated pool for the kids to play in. So, Pax = tantrums? Who knows? Also: is his stuffed animal Curious George? That’s very cute.

Sometimes adopted children start to look like their adopted families, and I really think Zahara resembles Angelina. The lips, the mouth, the smile, the face shape…. Anyone else remember when Angelina played Marianne Pearl with the dark curly haired wig?

Devilgirl, I thought it was MK from Dlisted who stated calling her that. Zee just exudes a lot of personality and is spunky. She has natural leadership quality and it shows. Zee also makes some cute facial expressions and sometimes she looks like, in some people’s opinions, like she is giving people a stare down like “who do you think you are” kinda thing. You know just like natural attitude. Side eye kinda looks. I don’t think so at all but some people do.

GG, that was kind of harsh, but to each their own. I think the kids look happy for the most part. I can imagine it is difficult to keep these kids from being brats though, considering all of the luxuries made available to them.

@devilgirl: I don’t know who coined the phrase but I remember a few years ago people started referring to her as “Lady Z”, “Princess Z”, “Empress Z” and finally just “The Empress”. (I usually call her Miss Thang.) I think it’s in the way she carries herself and the fact that by her parents’ own admission, she has her daddy wrapped around her little finger. God help the poor guy who asks her out on a date ten or eleven years from now. I can picture Brad waiting at the front door with a loaded shotgun demanding to know his intentions.

Africa is made up of dozens of different ethnic groups, each with its own physical characteristics. East Africans tend to be tall and thin. The women carry themselves like queens. I personally think Somali and Ethiopian women are the most gorgeous women on the planet. They are born with a natural grace and elegance that other women work for decades to try to obtain, usually unsuccessfully. You either have it or you don’t.
According to People.com Pax was laughing as he left the spa. And he does look happy in that picture, not mad.
They all look annoyed, with the exception of the kiddo, who appears to be attempting to make her mother smile to no avail.

I am a huge fan but I do believe the woman who came forward was Zee’s mom she explained that she had gone through an ordeal and because of trauma ran away and abandoned Z who she believed at the time would die. She came forward only after one of the tabs ran a false story about her. Her grandmother gave Zahara up and lied about the mom’s death. BTW the woman looks exactly like Zahara,and what she said in her interview is that she is glad that she found a home and never disputed the adoption.

This comment is pretty disgusting. You pretty much called Madonna’s kids ugly. Then you imply that “African looking” people are unattractive because they have broader/wider noses and full lips. And WTF is “African looking” anyway? You are aware that Ethiopians are African are you not? So that means Ethipians are your so called “african looking”. Comments like this is why little black/african girls have trouble now embracing their features because people like you only find other people beautiful when they have those celebrated features of thin noses and thin lips. It’s only you. The older two boys are Asian (Maddox is Cambodian and Pax is Vietnamese) but neither of them is part-Chinese, as far as I know. Z is Ethiopian and has no Asian blood.

@Lena: When Brad and Angie first met Z face to face, I doubt they had a clue she would become the beautiful little girl she is now. She probably wasn’t very attractive at the time, being all wizened up and scrawny from malnutrition and dehydration. It was touch and go whether or not she would survive. They didn’t care how bad she looked; they made a commitment to take her and look after her no matter what happened to her. If they hadn’t taken her home with them, she probably would not have lived to see her first birthday. Thanks to them she is thriving.

Actually, Angelina’s decision to adopt from ethiopia has a lot to do with the fact that FOREIGN ADOPTIONS IS ALLOWED AND LEGAL IN ETHIOPIA.

Madonna’s adoption from Malawi however was fraught with LEGAL DIFFICULTIES because the LAWS of MALAWI prohibit foreigner from adopting children.

Two other reasons why Angelina adopted Zahara:
