This is the new music video for Katy Perry’s new single, “Firework”. I think very little of Katy as a performer and as a singer, but she sometimes comes out with some interesting visuals. This is not really one of those times. The whole idea of “Firework” is supposed to be – I think – empowerment and blah blah. So Katy goes the direct, non-metaphoric route and just has fireworks shooting out of her boobs. It was interesting when Lady Gaga did it. When Katy does it, it just seems like an idea that was rejected for the Twilight series.
Beyond the firework-boobs, the rest of the video is kind of budget. The special effects are really crappy, especially for the childbirth moment. But I will give Katy some credit – even with the firework-boobs, this is probably the least Katy has ever relied on her breasts in a music video. Golf clap for Katy.

video and song are horrible, plain and simple. she not a bad singer and a good entertainer, but i would be really surprised if this isnt going to damage her career.
She really does have fantastic boobs though. If they are what make her “famous” then I say go ahead and shoot fireworks out of them! lol
That song is horrible. My ears are bleeding. I think her voice or way of singing is particularly annoying in this song.
Yeah, I agree with Denmark girl. my ears are bleeding, too. I dont like her songs, I always thought she shouldnt scream and shout as much, her voice gets really high pitched and annoying. she should do more low key ballad stuff.
I don’t know when this happened, but Katy Perry finally won me over. I stopped fighting her, and I’m having fun liking her. It’s weird.

That was LAUGHABLE. First she has fireworks boobs and then everybody else has fireworks stomach or something. If they had stayed away from her boobs for once it would have been a lot better.

Given how much she whores/markets herself her sales of this cd are not spectacular we can only hope this signals a public weariness with this squealing no talent.
