As you can imagine, Brandi Glanville’s arrest for suspicion of DUI early Friday morning was possibly one of the best things that’s even happened to LeAnn Rimes. Brandi has been LeAnn’s nemesis for more than a year – personally, I think LeAnn decided to designate Brandi as her nemesis when LeAnn first realized that the married Eddie Cibrian was totally up for an affair, and LeAnn set out to systematically win Eddie over to The Dark Side (Team LeAnn). Sidenote: I have the strongest urge to refer to LeAnn’s “lair”. Anyway, Brandi was arrested, and released hours later, after which she tweeted her apology:

“I messed up,” Eddie Cibrian’s ex-wife Tweeted on Friday following her DUI arrest. “I take full responsibility for my actions. I regret my bad choice, and am thankful to God that no one got hurt. I’m sorry.”
Glanville was released from jail at 8:30 a.m. Friday after being pulled over on Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills.
Glanville was in the news last year when her then-husband Cibrian made public his relationship with country star LeAnn Rimes, who at the time was married to Dean Sheremet. Both marriages collapsed and Cibrian remains with Rimes.

Do you accept Brandi’s apology? I don’t, although I do think she’s probably honestly sorry, and honestly ashamed with being a drunk driver. It takes more than an apology on Twitter to make me forgive drunk driving. Just for fun, I checked out LeAnn’s Twitter to see her reaction to Brandi’s arrest. It’s always difficult for me to sort through LeAnn’s Twitter feed, just because she tweets non-stop for like 15 hours a day. There’s tons of nonsense that makes little to no sense to me, but I was able to find a couple of choice tweets. Responding (I think) to one of her follower’s questions about Brandi, LeAnn tweeted: “the boys were safe and with Eddie’s parents at our house.” And then later, “I didn’t take it that way at all. They were safe and with their grandparents. Let people judge all they want. They don’t know our lives. I understood what you were asking :)” Oooh! LeAnn is Step-Mother Superior now! Let’s see… she also tweeted “honestly, I’ve had no anger, just disappointment in people’s lack of better judgement [sic].” Yes, because LeAnn’s judgment is so wonderful.
I tried to find Brandi’s Twitter feed, but I never know which one it is. Does she have multiples? Do her supporters name their feeds after her? Because if this one is Brandi’s, she really needs to get a grip too. They’re both pieces of work. Ugh.
LeeAnn will get a DUI some day too, question is, when? When things go sour with Cibrian?
They both should be ashamed for lack of better judgement – one broke up a marriage with children. The other continues to engage in public disputes, and now been in jail regarding a DUI – Where do the kids fall in any of this!
Because the only time I hear about them, is when Leann is using them as pawns for her own gain.

That isn’t her Twitter. I was curious once and checked out the tweets from BG supporters and LR supporters. Umm, its a little disturbing on both sides and I do not get why people are so invested in this situation.
Yes cheating is wrong,but how long has it been? And so many others have cheated (Charlie Sheen, Jolie/Pitt, Kelsey Grammer, etc. etc). So what if LR tweets? Just ignore it and don’t buy her music.

I cannot stand Rimes, but I am so over people saying she “stole” Eddie from Brandi. People are not possessions, so you cannot steal something that is not owned, and no one can steal a man/woman from another.

Speak for yourself. I have NEVER driven drunk, nor would I. I very rarely even have one drink if I’m driving, and I make sure if I do have one, it’s early in the evening, hours before I’m on the road. If I feel like tying one on, I do it at home or make sure there’s a designated driver.
I’m just glad Brandi didn’t kill anybody. Hopefully she learns from this and commits to safe driving.

Umm, no, most of the people I know are careful NOT to get one. I spent alot of my single days as the DD, drinking 7up or Pepsi at the club. I’ve never driven after having more than 1 drink.EVER.

Having just been in a car accident, I also think Brandi needs to do better than a twitter apology. I was in the passenger seat of my friend’s car when we went to make a totally legal left hand turn, when some idiot came racing through the red light and totaled my friend’s car. I got the brunt of the impact, had to spend a lot of last night in some random hospital in Staten Island and am now wearing a neck brace. I thank God though that the car hit us where it did. If she had hit us even three inches back, I probably wouldn’t be typing right now.
Cars are really dangerous! And idiots behind the wheel triple the threat of accidents. Brandi should be more than “embarrassed” by this situation. I hope she learns something and doesn’t make the same mistake twice.

Sorry Katherine in Nashville, but you cannot blame a DUI on Rimes. That is an excuse. People, regardless of the troubles they have in their lives, know not to drink and drive, so whatever is happening in her personal life is no excuse for getting behind the wheel after drinking. If you drink, have the smarts to take a cab home or ask someone to drive you. Personal problems are never an excuse for reckless behavior that could potentially hurt someone else.

I totally agree with you. No excuse for Brandi’s bad judgement or LeAnn’s bad judgement last year after her hit and run accident following a day of boozing with Eddie. I guess in LeAnn’s case the boozing along with the hit and run constitutes two bad judgements but I’ve lost count with her.

There is a reason for LeAnn being the most insecure female on the planet. While Eddie was boning her on the set he was filling her with so much crap she couldn’t smell the stink. Brandi tried to make Eddie look bad again by saying it was his turn to have the kids but they were with his parents. Yes, the boys were at LeAnn and Eddie’s home with Eddie’s parents.
In the court docs Eddie spoke of how the boys spent every other weekend at his parents home and that they were at his home several days every week taking are of those boys as well as doing other things while he and Brandi were married.
So it was good BG owned up BUT she twisted the knife once again. Not over it quite yet!

Isn’t there a blog-post at Celebitchy that is less than a week old, showing a vid wherein an obviously intoxicated Eddie and LeAnn do a TMZ interview outside a club? As I recall, LeAnn ran off after some random guy who didn’t know who she was… and then LeAnn and two others climbed into a car that Drunk Eddie DRIVES!!! Not only did Eddie drive drunk – and not only was LeAnn perfectly happy for Eddie to drive whilst undeniably intoxicated – but it happened less than a week ago. So just because the ex was caught doesn’t give LeAnn any points in the superior column. Frankly, Eddie drove drunk with three people in his vehicle so the Brandi/LeAnn/Eddie columns are pretty damn equal.

If this is the worse Brandi goes through in her life, she’s doing pretty good. Besides Brandi has said she’s over it, it is others not associated with the marriage that can’t let it go.
Nope, never came close to drinking and driving. I rarely drink and there was only once I had more than one drink at a club and I walked home.
You can be charged with a DUI even if your BAC is under .08. All the officer needs is a reason why the amount of alcohol found in your system impaired your judgement. So even if you had one drink and your BAC is .04 if an officer feels like that small amount of alcohol impaired your judgement, you can get a DUI.
I think that driving drunk is wrong. She got caught shes being punished and she apologized. Thankfully no one was hurt so theres really nothing else she can do. Im not going to take a hard stance unless she does it again.
OK, I am not saying that LeAnn has handled her situation with class, because she hasn’t- it’s tacky to crow about your new love when that love happened in the middle of two marriages, and two other people were hurt by it (Dean and Brandi, and the kids). So no, I don’t like LeAnn or Eddie.
HOWEVER, Brandi choosing to drive while intoxicated is squarely on Brandi- this has nothing to do with either Eddie or LeAnn. Nobody but Brandi is to blame for this poor decision.
I’m a newer prosecutor so I handle mostly assault and DUII cases, and let me tell you- my first month on the job I assisted on a DUII case where a drunk driver hit a car and killed a little girl. At sentencing the mother of that little girl came forward and read a letter to the defendant, and every single person in that courtroom was crying. People die from drunk drivers every day, and it should never be excused.
I was just watching Dr. Phil, and he was aying that the divorce rate for cheating ho’s that say “I do” is pretty darn high, because each of them already know the other is a cheating lying scumbag. I wonder how happy Eddie will continue to be when Leanne starts to act more and more like a wife. I think money is the only reason he’s still with her.

Brandi got busted in Beverly Hills which is nowhere near her home in Calabasas. To get there one has to take really busy surface streets, get to then travel ln 2 of the busiest freeways in California just to get to her off ramp let alone her home. I believe there are 2 separate issues.
Brandi was wrong in her actions and will adhere to the courts punishment. The other issue is the constant tweeting of Ms Rimes about her fairy tale life. Just look at her twitpic from last nite with EC on bended knee. There have been comparisons of this affair with Angelina/Brad, Julia Roberts and on and on. The difference is those couples at least had some discretion. With Ms. Rimes none. Brandi was a housewife thrust into this mess and is now the subject of hatred and bullying by LR followers or paid reps. Ms. Rimes is classic passive aggresive personality. She bought herself Brandi’s family and now spews blessings mixed with inferred digs at Brandi.

Brandi apologized on twitter for the simple fact is that’s where people follow her, she also apologized on her Facebook page. Brandi was sincere in her apology and really was embarassed by her actions. It takes a big person to apologize and not make justifications. I guess I don’t understand the implication by the author of this story that because Brandi has done something wrong this somehow makes Leann look better. Do we have to pick a clear good one and bad one? Can’t we simply dislike them both? Or in my case, all three of them. I dislike Leann the most because she’s the one trying the hardest to pretend to be holier-than-thou despite the horrible things she’s done. Eddie is next in line because he also tries to play the I’m-so-perfect card, but he bugs me less than Leann because, unlike her, there are at least a few minutes in the day when he manages to keep his mouth shut. So Brandi is the one who bugs me the least, but only by default. They’re all annoying. They’re all behaving like 12-year-olds on the playground. And my fondest wish is for all three of them to go away and never be heard from again.

@Irena when you are married the only real break you get is when the grandparents watch the kids or you get babysitters. I don’t know any married couple who hasn’t used the grandparents for that purpose. Some grandparents can actually go to court and get grandparents rights. However, once you are divorced and split custody, you get that break when the other parent gets the child. Plus you lose out on time with your child or children 50% of the time. Which means when you do have them, you often want to see them. Eddie passes them off when he only sees them 50% of the time and he does it so he can follow his girlfriend around. It’s not really the same thing when you are married to the mother of your children. Brandi wasn’t making that dig at Eddie’s parenting, she was getting questioned about where the boys were and didn’t want people concerned that they were with her. She points out that they weren’t and when she has her boys she’s with them. If Leann’s fans want to read between the lines of all of Brandi’s tweets then so be it. At this point it doesn’t matter what Brandi says because they will think that way regardless.
@#6, (really now), are you leeann’s mother? let me be clear, i do not clear bandi of anything, DUI is awful,she could have killed someone, but home wrecker Leeann and douched Eddie helped caused some of brandi’s problems, no, a man cannot be stolen, but he can be enticed, initiated, seduced away from his maybe/maybe not troubled marriage, is that better?, i stand by my statements, now Leeann,STFU, you got your man that you paid for, now disappear already.
Oh NO! My girl Brandi got a DUI!!!! I feel sorry for her (guilt, charged, reformed, sober). It is a terrible ordeal and I hope it is the LAST time she ever drives with ANY substance in her system. Because her kids are way more important than this divorced gal freedom that we all need during/following a hideous divorce.
Leann better treat gently on this, because she is in NO POSITION to judge the mother of her lover’s children.
Actually Leann already made a comment about Brandi’s lack of judgment. That she was disappointed but not angry. As if she has any right to talk about moral judgments.
I am confused here. Didn’t this site post a video of Eddie getting behind the wheel AFTER he had been drinking? And we know that he was drinking because Leann posted a photo of them holding the glasses of alcohol in their hands. So why is it okay for Eddie and Leann to get behind the wheel after drinking and driving, which we have seen them to many times over and over. I remember one article from OK that said that they were drinking and then on JJ they are spotted getting into a car. I also remember a photo of EC and LR with the kids and in the background are bottles of beer. So do EC and LR get a free pass because they didn’t get caught or because their MONEY makes things like this go away. BTW, where did all of these LR supporters come from? Sounds like LR is doing some major damage control.
She womaned up and apologized. It doesnt excuse her behavior but at least she didnt lie about her part and apologized. LeAnn never apologized for having an affair with a married man so i dont think Brandi loses face here (to Leann that is).
I’m sure Brandi will be prosecuted to the full letter of the law, no Lohan treatment for her. She’ll be in court, a rehab program of some sort and probation, not to mention the restrictions on her license and insurance.
Her life will change. I’m not saying it’s OK, but I think it’s part of the trickle down effect of the changes to her world.
