Last night, Sarah Jessica Parker was the hostess of the Bambi Awards, in Germany. The Bambis are mostly for Germans, but they usually get a couple of big international stars to show up and present or host. SJP is an international star? Kind of. Anyway, SJP showed up on the red carpet in this sparkly, shimmery Halston number. I don’t hate the dress – I’m just bored with it. SJP is now the creative director of Halston, and she’s been wearing the line on red carpet after red carpet, and either they’re just designing the same dress over and over, or SJP is just picking out similar dresses over and over. Plus, the way she’s half-heartedly whipping her skirt up is making me think of horses whipping their tail. Horses. Now that’s all I can think of. She had a costume change for her hosting duties – Elie Saab. Much better, honestly.

F-cking gorgeous. Look at her figure! That’s a beautiful cut on that dress. It’s slightly game-show-hostess, but she looks SO GOOD. She won too – she got a Bambi for her charity work. Good for her.

SJP, not so much. she’s never been beautiful by standard measures, but always interesting looking and, yes, attractive in a non-conventional way.
but now? her nose appears to be getting bigger as gets older. perhaps a little more weight on her frame as she ages would help her. too many women make that mistake and wind up looking emaciated when they hit their forties. of course, the center part doesn’t help, either.
but those shoes! to die for…though she should have painted her toes, IMO.

It’s HGF and my pages are taking up to 10 minutes to load. Getting worried here. It’s HGF. Although, on the flip side I get to spend up to 10 minutes legitimately with each pic. Nevermind.
I’m more concerned that she doesn’t understand when she wears nude-ish colors that sort of match her skin tone and hair, it maximizes the p-o-n-y. Just one long-faced pony girl. And really she has more to offer than that …but it does hang me up.
Also, yes commentor #2 – those clunky shoes do not work with the material nor length of the dress. If you’re short and your dress falls almost mid-calf, don’t shave off even more leg with high cut shoes. Next –
I LOVE that Shakira still has her natural nose… It’s a good nose.. Not super small and “cut”.. It’s totally medium and has natural curves at the “snub” part.. In my mind, she looks like a gorgeous “real” person vs a gorgeous “done” person…
Anyone else understand what I mean despite my rather poor explanation?

SJP honestly needs to gain 10 pounds. Not b/c I think she is too skinny, but because her face is begging for it.
And the Halston dress looks too big on her. Too much material for such a small frame and I hate her hair in the 1st pic as well. The perfect hair just emphasizes the length of her face. All I keep picturing is Michael K trying to groom her and feed her sugar cubes…

She looked perfect in the Elie Saab and the hair looked fabulous. I always love her hair either curly or a little messy. It softens her face.

Shakira looks just jaw-dropping!!! She has that rare quality, too, that women like her despite being every man’s dream. I love her. She is an amazing woman too, with all the charity work she does.
SJP, however, looks like a bag of onions left in the sun. I have never been a fan. I just don’t get the fascination with her.
The shoes are beautiful, but would look better on someone with longer legs, like Charlize Theron.
Does anyone else think SJP’s right boob is trying to escape? I think I would like the dress more if the bodice was about 1-2 inches higher, with a more dramatic left-to-right swoop, and the right boob wasn’t oozing out.
Good Lord! SJP’s shoes look painful,look at the pressure her poor toes are going through. The woman is ruining her feet. She should consider getting a nose job maybe that would help not make her face look so long.

Shakira is a sex goddess. Her style is better, to me, than Furgy, but she has better taste. Shakira brings a consistently sexy look.

Shakira looks to be about a foot taller than SJP, so it’s easier for her to look good in clothes. She has the body of a model.
TG you showed a close-up of the shoes, because in the first picture I thought there was something seriously wrong with SJPs toes! It looked like she was missing parts of her two smallest toes or something.
Shakira looks like a female version of an Oscar statue. Jessica Parker’s black dress is pretty but looks a little big. She needs to gain weight. But I love those shoes. Still both look good.

#30. I think it’s just the length and shoes of SJP’s outfit that make her look smaller than Shakira. Shakira’s dress fits her perfectly and makes her look taller. But I remember reading that she is actually pretty short. A quick search told me that she is 5’2 (I thought she was about 5’0) and SJP is 5’4. I wonder how tall Shakira’s shoes are??….

I LOVE Shakira — absolutely beautiful body — and the best part? She hasn’t gotten breast implants! Yay!! I just adore women celebs who are confident enough to not get a boob job (sadly, I can only think of 2 off of the top of my head — Sandra Bullock &Shakira — because most celebs do succumb).
They both look great to me. And HELLO – is this the first time you’ve all seen Shakira! Yes – she’s incredibly GORGEOUS . . . DUH – thx for stating the obvious. Why do you guys ALWAYS have to say something derogatory about SJP’s looks?! WHY!?! To me this is right up there with wife beating, etc. I think it’s a BETRAYAL when women bully each other this way, and it sickens me. SJP’s hair no longer flatters her face. She has long, narrow face and with it parted down the middle and long it just makes her face look even longer.
She’d look better with some fringe and a shorter length cut.
